So, I typed a longish post this afternoon extolling the lovely day I'd had and it just went so I feel your posting pain ampersand

Anyway it was a lovely day off, woke up early, tidied and pottered and ironed whilst watching casualty .

Found a pile of pots and plants in the daylight ...from next door, said a fond farewell to them and received kind offers of hospitality if we are ever up their neck of the woods. Also got a big bag of lemons and a pretty posy of narcissi and snowdrops.

Lots of gardening done, seeds planted , veg patch prepared for our spring crops going in once the days and nights warm up. We are still having frosty nights. Lavender cuttings taken, hoping they take.

Went a nice walk this evening with OH, sky was beautiful as sun was setting, lots of pretty flowers and blossom on trees.

Just noticed DD1 has done today's ironing that was dried on the washing line, I was on the phone whilst she did it!

    Have a lovely day :)

    Hello All:wave:

Quick post for yesterdays pleasures as I am working today!

    1. NSD
    2. No fizzy drinks taken for 2nd day!
    3. Nice quiet commute in-was a lovely morning/no traffic around
    4. Relaxing evening
    5. Early to Bed
    NOT BUYING IT 2018!

Consumerism is.....buying things you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know and probably wouldn't like even if you did know them.

    1. Still feeling chirpy after yesterday :)

    2. Had a bit of a lie-in and think I'm ready for tomorrow - clothes are neatly laid out, packed lunch is in the fridge, painkillers are in my bag, just the nerves to quell now!

    3. Low spend day - M&$ has a 20% off lots of things promotion, so have ordered some trews for me and sensible unmentionables for DD.

    4. Also used a voucher code and a cashback site to order LOTS of fabulous books from TBook People.

    5. DD and daddykins had a great day with doggikins at a village show where muttley pranced and leaped about for the delight of the crowd.

    6. Going to get myself ready for beddy then watch Paddy Considine at 9.....be still my beating heart!
  • For those of us who remember not being able to do these things when we had little ones I nominate:
    1. A wee in private
    2. Being able to have a cup of coffee in peace
    3. I've also had a fab Sunday lunch with my lovely family
    4. Have a lovely home
    5. And have my health, a lovely car (even though it belongs to the bank at the moment really) and a job.

Been absent recently, but have been popping by and hope you don't mind me coming back. This thread is such a boost :)

Apologies for apparently setting various OS putahs off on strike again.

    1. Well well well - what a final for demain soir! Most pleased, given & feelings for Djok and Fed do not register on the + scale.

    2. A mostly yellow day.

    3. Another kg of rasps>no.2 freezer. It's becoming virtual only, the space in there.

    4. Watched blackbird tussling with apple, swallowing great chunks and hauling it about garden in doing so.

    5. Grass mowed again - fast up this week. Last Verve on compost, more on discount Weds B&Q.

    6. Vaguely macaroni cheese intention diverted and dare I say 2 dishes now done=many portions - incorporating organic celery, smoked sausage, h-g 2013 courgette and 3 cheeses in varying states of interest/b!chamel mixed with chinese noodles[quelle horreur! they cry, as up go the hands in aforementioned h-----] Oh, and bacon on top.
Tasting soon, with just picked'n'zapped rogue beans. They look tempting, smell good, but who knows?...............'I may be gone some time'.

    7. Deliberate brain-dead late arvo, in order to tinily snip MANY lemon/lime/orange peels as per bop's famed nail clippings. Outside, listening to cricket helped. Overnight soaking now, with muslin doggy bag of chopped leftovers, to become marmalade/poss, entry in village show thing next week...have been rather leant on re: this. Never have entered anything. Not what & does these days.

Putah as usual, while I've done this - tiresomely slow again, all sorts of whirring going on, bits suddenly blotted out lines back, rolling screen up/down, tippy-tapping and nothing shows. Just hope sth's in place.

    Gentle good nights to all.

    Good evening,

    Well done Kittikins!

    Me today:

    1. Free film with DH, Pride, real story of a group of lesbians and gay men supporting the miners strike in the. 80s. Lovely film, funny and moving at the same time, highly recommended.

    2. Lots of YS stuff at W8rose after the cinema

    3. Friends visited in the afternoon

    4. DD came along to have dinner with us, which was lovely!

    5. As DD did not like the planned dinner, change of plan, which made her very happy, and everybody else too.

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Morning

    Poorlies get well NOW
DFV - great news re DS and very brave to of you to tackle the teenage room. Its not just boys, if I go into DD's room I want a safety line on so know I am going to get back out.
Frith - My siblings tend to ignore my DM's symptoms as well even when it is impossible to. Think they are frightened my mental health issues even though we have grown up with it.
    MHags - Puppy sounds lovely
Kittikins - Good luck for today, know you will be brilliant though

    Pleasures for the weekend,
    1. Met up with my lovely friend H for the day. Was so lovely and relaxed and just a nice day plus she didn't go into labour. She was told the day before that she was in the early stages of labour
    2. Cinema with DD on Saturday night as OH was working all day
    3. Food shopping done on Sunday and well under budget as had done a stock up the week before.
4.Sunday evening went to local theatre in Windsor to see the comic Milton Jones, he is very silly but so funny and no swearing at all which made a nice change. Plus the tickets were very reasonably priced. I booked a couple of things a couple of months ago which are all happening over this month so it feels like we are being very extravagant but everything is paid for and was all done on great offers.
    5. Snooze in the afternoon yesterday

Hugs to all who need them
