Good day yesterday - I was off work
1. Sorted out a couple of cupboards and have shoes to take to recyclng.
2. Easy lunch of sandwich with tomatoes.
3. DH arriving home early for him.
4. NSD0 -
I am having an all in reversion day.
5 Breakfast, Snorker, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms and spagyetti. Wolfed down with tea and crumpets.
4 Lunch is Chicken livers, part two, black pudding and onions and toms. No worries, it gets worse!
3 Tea is a spam and onion bun. Told you, it got worse!
2 Last night I was victorious in the live Scrabble.
1 Now I just feel reeeeel grate and as ruff as ever!
Oh, as for BoPsie. Guess her BoP is eating alone this day!0 -
Am trying to catch up with everyone, good to hear everyone's news but sorry for the poorlies, hope you get well now. Thank you for your kind thoughts x
1. Been working on the eulogy and can almost recite it by heart now. DB said he doesn't want it to be more that 30 seconds (he just wants it all over too), I've managed 2 mins 29 secs which finally has his approval!
2. DS and family arrive on Monday, just been through the freezer etc., and only have to buy a couple more things to fill two hungry men
3. My new bargain sofas have arrived, cream Chesterfields which look amazing. The old ones have gone to DD's pub, apparently all the customers make a beeline for them so I'm pleased they've been put to good use
4. [STRIKE]Attacked[/STRIKE] Pruned the lilac tree which I like to keep in a lollipop shape. Trouble is it's grown far to big for me now and I can no longer reach the middle/top so it looks more like a cone! I'll have to find a taller ladder, will look on freecycle. Luckily only a few scratches this time so I don't look as though I've been into battle with a thousand knives
5. Rain through the night and beautiful yellow thing today, who could ask for more?
Have a lovely rest of the day0 -

:rotfl:
DforV - lifts scare me a bit.
Ampersand / CCp - I seem to also be suffering with headache / sinus / throat thing (not as bad as you, I think) I am guessing it is hayfever related with me. Hope you are both well soon - and me!
Pleasures for last few days
1. DS and OH came home
2. DD had her first drinking session - I am glad she had it with friends who would have looked after if necessary (it wasn't - allegedly) and us here to mop up (again, not necessary) given that she's going away soon
3. Warmth and sun
4. my multi coloured roses are still producing
5. Lunch out with OH yesterday
6. Cleared out my kitchen cupboards and got rid of out of date stuff - there wasn't too much
7. Bit of cooking today
8 Up to date with the laundry - but not the ironing
9 Caught up with HIGNFY and News quiz
10 Friend loved her birthday present. And at last she is 50 so I don't have to listen to her say "but I am still in my 40's" any longer :rotfl:
Have a good weekend allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
marmite - re fox - Isis is Not Impressed, particularly as he's so fearless that he keeps coming up to the patio doors and pressing his nose against the glass to peer in at us! :rotfl:
1) Went to bed early last night as I really wasn't feeling fantastic, so woke up nice and early this morning and - even better - with only the slightest trace of a headache left.
2) NSD and NPD.
3) Sitting at the computer catching up with comps, with Isis sleeping peacefully on the sofa behind me - she seems much more relaxed since she started going outside (fox not withstanding), and will now sleep in my company rather than going into her favourite hidey-hole to do so.
4) Got my groceries delivered by a very nice man, then chatted to a very nice lady on the CS desk who refunded a couple of items that had been damaged by some seriously dodgy packing. (As she said - putting tins on top of bananas is never going to end well!)
5) Finding a new game on FB - Farm Heroes - which is a bit like Candy Crush but much less annoying about trying to sell you things. :TBack after a very long break!0 -

sparrer - you with lilac arms, so with my raspberries, canes, trees, everything jardin-y. I am always mangling and scratching myself. Odd things still happening there. Honeysuckle berries and new flowers and buds. More strawbs have decided to front up. One hazel has mostly lost its leaves suddenly, with first noix, but new leaf axils are bursting at every point. A big pink hyacincth has come up from nowhere, just flowering now. R4 said &squat received over a month's rain last night. How were you?

1. Morning bootcamp
2. DS and DD helped me with cleaning as we were expecting guests, it was a good excuse for a big dusting and hoovering
3. The kitchen floor is in - needs oiling but it already looks good.
4. I gave a lot of bits and pieces to the cats protection league charity shop.
5. Sadly my guests did not come after all but it meant me and DS watching a very interesting documentary together

Hello to All,
Hope the sore throats are feeling better. I think you are very brave with the throat spray Ampersand, I would rather suffer the sore throat! Glad you are keeping busy Sparrer, I hope gardening is therapeutic.
Busy Saturday.......
1. DD text from festival campsite to say she has dried out wet things in the morning sunshine.
2. Cleaned out the hen coop ready for friends to look after them when we are on holiday, and was rewarded with 3 eggs. The girlies are looking quite smart now and their feathers are coming through. (They don't like your fox CCP!).
3. Lots of O2 freebies - Halfords car cleaning kit, Fragrance shop travel atomiser. Also got free birthday card for DS1 with full M&S loyalty card and free Caffe Nero with full up loyalty card. Love free shopping!
4. Dog walking and visit to beer garden on the way back.
5. Eton Mess for pud made with woopsied strawberries, merangue and cream with a MOC!!
Off to Craft Festival tomorrow. Hope it's not in a tent!!!
Have a good day tomorrow!0 -
Sparrer: Good to hear from you and the sofas sound fabulous.
Ampersand: Lovely pleasures.
House Elf: A Craft festival sounds wonderful
I’ve just returned from visiting dad, I’m feeling very blue - my way of dealing with tonight is watching a free instant prime video of a children’s movie and ordering in for now.
Today has been beautiful
1. Played with the animals in the garden and enjoying the weather and them.
2. We dug down to the front garden the plants are all ok, but the grass has completely given in, we will need grass seed.
3. All the usual bits done, washing machine, drying, basic tidying, animal meds etc a pleasure when not feeling like a chore.
4. I had a complete spur of the moment go on the lottery well, no excuse really just fancied a try.0
