Apologies for the lack of posting recently - there's just too much sport around!
1) Not at work today so I had a bit of a lie-in, despite Isis charging around like a mad cat.
2) Job interview went well (I think) and I should have their decision by the end of the week. :undecided
3) Playing catch with a toddler in the park: he dropped his ball and it rolled down the path towards me so I threw it back to him. This was apparently a good game as he threw it straight back to me! :rotfl:
4) Reverbed 5p.
5) Treated myself to lunch out - not OS in one way, but I'm not going to need any dinner tonight, and possibly no breakfast tomorrow either!Back after a very long break!0 -
BOPs feather. Ah duvet. I was picturing those big burlesque feather fans. :rotfl:
Duvet much more relaxing.
My pleasures are:
Great day at work
Keeping in touch with old colleagues
DD is being lovely
Sunny day
Great new team.

1. Sunshine
2. I had fun doing my safeguarding training (I know, sounds like an oxymoron, but chatting to the Head whilst talking through the training was a nice way to spend an hour this morning)
3. All my parcels from my recent shopping spree arrived today
4. DD loves her sleeping mat for Saturday's Brownies shindig, phew!
5. Nice chats with lots of parents at the end of the school day, I'll miss them nearly as much as the children.
6. Yummy leftovers for lunch, nomnomnom.
7. Wrapped all the children's presents for tomorrow
8. Bought gluten and dairy free cake for those that will need it tomorrow!
9. Managed to extract a PAC code from my mobile supplier....good job the call to ask for it was free, as they tried everything to keep me, but as the mobile reception up here with their network is pants, it was pointless.....0 -
Just back from the flicks. BoPsi all gooey eyed. But too much curse for the likes of SPARRA, but the rest of you, good flick.

supersaver1000 - so, so delighted that your job is great! Makes such a difference when we enjoy how we earn our crust.
I love this glorious sun. I'm also looking forward to meeting my new class tomorrow, but will be sad to say goodbye to some of the children. Some of the children I have in my class now, I've taught for 2 years so I'll miss some of the parents too!
My pleasures for today:
1) Shopping at Mr T's. Checked in using my Foursquare app on my phone, which is linked to my credit card... and got £5 back for spending over £10!
2) Chicken stir fry for supper. Yum.
3) Watched the amazing Nadal match at Wimbledon this evening (on tv, I wasn't there sadly)
4) DH has bought a new gadget. Not only did he get cashback, via Topcashback, but he also got 5% off using a code, Tesco clubcard points AND Avios points. I'm proud of him!
5) I brought the ironing pile down, only for DH to snatch it away from me and did it himself! Bonus!

All that yellow thingis making the world of this Thread all la-la-boppity-la happyland.
Extra good soundings with ss1000 and kittikins today and ccp can make it a hat-trick on the job front, with pk catching the slipstream when she's ready.
1. Nadal's nadir today, but & unsurprised. Kyrgios is the real deal and makes Pat Rafter's estimation of him[and manner of dealing with Tomic's antics] spot-on, sound. At least & can now concentrate on Current Ch- - - -on[as written by Simon Barnes in The Times today, carefully - to avoid jinxing in the usual Plucky Brit way] Sharapova out. Can but wish similar reversal by Djok.'s next opponent. His closing shot reaction hier encapsulated all I so much dislike about him.
2. Lucky rtc time@w8rs; 33 items, lots 10p/15p, with several multi-buy promo's, meant £5.94 for 4 Hovis loaves, the Heir Apparent's rich beef stock, mushrooms, beetroot[now cooked], jkt tatoes, salads+little gems, apple pies, own brand chunky chips[&'s 1st time ever buying such things-and they've worked! So not me, but they were rather good:o]pink lady apples, melons, smoked bacon, marmalade glazed ham. Loads to share and drop off en route back, but not the vege peeler I needed......
3.......on a given that old one won't turn up until replacement's bought. How many shops did I have to trek about to find my simple all-metal swivel blade model? SIX!!!
http://www.pubshop.co.uk/catalog/vogue-swivel-peeler-with-stst-blade-p-8161.html?gclid=CL7f58P4pL8CFSflwgod3poAsQ
This is the ONLY one I get on with. Bought 2, mindful of Law of Sod.
4. 2 car Phew moments [a] is again as previous, but this time, having re-started outside village shop, did sweeping turn back up lane to garage, where nice man smiled [STRIKE]pityingly[/STRIKE]kindly and took to &'s tweaky wire bits with no.10 socket something and made everything tight. 'Oh, aren't they supposed to move about?' asked &.......
excited by vege peeler success after so many unexpectedly vain trawlings, was back to car and away, just as a Traffic Person applied parking ticket to car in front.
5. CS No More Books haul[only 5 today] includes &'s great and guilty pleasure of the late, esteemed EJH's final Cazalet novel, delicious on r4.
6. Neighbour didn't know sorrel, when I offered bolted seedhead stems for his bunnies. They ADORE them:D.
Definitely a suitable day for one of my fave sign-offs: Sweet Dreams and Pink Icecreams.:wave:CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

SuperSaver - that's good to hear. :-)
Best of luck with your job, CCP.
Kittikins - you've reminded me to get some end of term presents and cards! Or perhaps one present for the staff room as about 10 people work with smaller son.
Ampersand - I've had my peeler since 1993 and can't use any other!
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Paul McKenna is working hard. ;-) It's rather a relief not to feel driven to snack all day long.
3) Went on the allotment and rescued a metre long branch/tendril of pumpkin which had decided not to grow across the paved area but instead into the pond... Some little pumpkins on there! Also nice courgettes, cucumbers etc.
4) Popped into Sainsburys.
5) Smaller son said not to collect him at the door so he walk down to the car by himself after school.
6) Bigger son did a mountain of homework. He has these independent study tasks (where he has a week or so to complete a project - NOT supposed to be done on the last evening......) If there are bits missing or mistakes, they have to do corrections. So we ended up doing corrections on his history powerpoint, his geography poster. Then he did the graph he needed to finish for maths then a 400 word presentation on the good and bad points of social networking! That just leaves French and science for later in the week. :-/0 -
Evening all

5 - 1lb off at weigh in.
6 - Busy day at work today, went nice and quickly.
7 - Catching up on all the crazy tennis goings on of the day.
8 - Chat with my mam.0 -
1. Getting to know a collegue better on shuttlebus on way to work.
2. DS1 offering to go food shopping as he had collected his dry cleaning.
3. Lovely evening - I enjoyed watering the garden listening to the birds.
4. DS2 supporting the losing team in 90% of the world cup matches he has watches and he has watched most of them. I have decided to support the other team.
5. Strawberries from the garden.0 -
My one aim for a good day today is to take DD to get her new tops at Maidstone (and not to spend any money myself
:)) and be back in time to see Andy Murray get through the next round
