Get the peeler &, the strawbs and cream and with Isis running riot, there is going to be some commotion. Safeguarding traing. Guess the next one will be interesting, couple of additives to be looked at. Still, one mine the old bats look minted when ...
5 Monster bowl again with fresh from the cud chewing cows downed. Jam on toast and the old cup of tea.
4 As promised, mes and BoPsie wents out last night to the flicks, free, and she got all tooo gooey eyed. We were not at the back, so could not use the water pistols. We snuck in our sweeties and drink. BoPsie has a decent bag. Minds yous, BoPsie gets gooey eyed every time she sees the deaf advert for subtitles and Puss in Boots is on it!
3 YELLOW YELLOW YELLOW as requested by chief of the wanter of the sun &. Now on the oggle box radio stream, it said it was going to look like some storm to end all storms. Never got more than a splatter of none.

A day at home today, many people visiting DM so I have to lop the lilac tree, fix some more hanging baskets to the fence, make dog biscuits, human biscuits, bread and lemonade as someone gave me some lemons, empty some old tubs, take old soil and garden waste to the tip and fix up a meeting for this evening. So why am I sitting here doing this? Cos I miss you all!
1. Good run yesterday, traffic etc all in my favour so arrived cool, calm and collected. As much as one can when driving among idiots
2. Bought some little bananas for DM. Ate two. They're a good snack to eat while travelling
3. DB is going to clear out his garage and we'll move DM's furniture etc., in so we can to sort in our own time. Saves a lot of worry and rush to empty the flat. DB's s-i-l has a large van so saves the cost of a removal company
4. The first part of my new bedroom has arrived, two beautiful stripey hazy green rugs bought at 60% discount
5. Time to sit and stare - hopefully - at some tennis today
Take care0 -

I wrote a post yesterday and forgot to post it, so here it is but yesterdays news lol
I’m finding the time off a bit kind of weird at the moment, a little like everything is very clean now what. Off on adventures in a few days, dh is unwell so we are off in a couple of days when he’s feeling better which is probably adding to it’s odd around here at the moment, I’m sure I will relax soon.
1. The cat was so so happy at the in laws, and I took a photo of their gorgeous birdie that’s looking for a home, so gorgeous and very interactive.
2. Popped out to pick up a few bakery loaves, some milk and fresh veg, and promptly made a fresh salad.:o
3. Tidied up the greenhouse, mowed the lawn, raked up dead moss, re stocked the birds, and had the animals out all the time after that day long.
4. Simple bowl of spaghetti carbonara for tea.
5. Phew paid, a certain satisfaction to moving it about.
6. Definitely deserves a pleasure in it’s own right, I made the last payment of a debt we have been paying off, so so so so so fantastic to have achieved and here is the only place that appreciates that feeling.0 -
Sitting on the back doorstep at my mums typing this. Day 4 of my holidays and enjoying being back and the absolute familiarity of everything.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day. Borrowed mums car which is such a gift.
Means we have so much for freedom and time to do things than wait for buses. Whilst only a 10 min drive from mums to where we are staying it's 2 bus journeys and a walk at either side.
We popped down to where I used to work before we moved and said hello to the girls there. I'm going out with some of them tonight for a proper catch up.
Then we borrowed my great niece for a couple of hours and took her to the beach for a paddle and a sandcastle building session. Lovely to have her but lovely to give her back! "No" being a favoured word!
Then we enjoyed the glorious countryside as we drove back home via a friends house where we popped in for half an hour ( my letter writing friend) to make arrangements to go out together next week.
Then up to mums for half an hour , left the car there and walked round to my oh so wise friend and had dinner in her back garden, it was a gorgeous evening....we came in when the midges came out!back round to mums for car and then back to MIL's where we are staying.
Rubbish sleep but that's par for the course when I'm jetlagged!
Up at 5 am and came downstairs , put a washing on and started a book.
Today we took a bag of bread and fed the ducks at park then went to our woods and fed the ducks there. We left a pile of tennis balls that had been our dogs and were still in mums car, left a note to say help yourself! She absolutely loved catching balls and would always find ones that other dogs had lost.
We enjoyed listening to the birdsong, saw quite a few robins and blackbirds. Chatted with a very friendly cat and bumped into a few people we know. Which is so nice just as if we've never been away.
Then whilst DD was at our Scottish hairdressers , who was telling her other customers, I have people come all the way from Australia just to get their haircuts!, I nipped over to where I used to work about 6 years ago and said hello to the girls there. It was lunch break time so had a good blether with them.
Now up at mums cat sitting and internet using! Her new cat has just started getting out for a while, so whilst mums out and about she'd asked if I would keep an eye on new cat and feed her. A pleasure!
Mums garden is looking lovely , as is my MILs .this is a nice time to be home when everything is very lush and in bloom.
Catching up with friends tonight.
Skint again as sons uni fees of over $14500 paid for another semester. Gulp....but we hung on an extra day before paying so we got monthly interest on it!
Have a lovely day0 -
Door steps, thinks Bacon Egg Banjo. (Bacon, eggs mushroom placed between hand cut door stepped bread!!!!!)
Gosh, lick lips, peeps out. Raffles has pulled another bird! More Feathers!
Just popped round as I is off to pick up BoPsi, still gooey eyed from the film, in the Wobbleade Emporium. Hic Hic Hic Hic Hic Hic.0 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
Well, I met my new class today. I'm keeping some of the children, so some I will have taught for 3 years, and gaining others. They all seem quite sweet, which can only be a bonus!
My pleasures for the day:
1) Changed the sheets on the bed. I LOVE clean sheets.
2) Unblocked the bath drain/pipes. Hmmm, apparently long hair is not good and causes havoc with the drainage!
3) Salmon salad for supper. It was lovely. Mmmm, yum!
4) Paid in £30 of change! £20 of which goes towards my road tax (all £2 coins). Brilliant!
5) Loads of shredding done. So satisfying!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Evening All!
1 - Horrible start to my working day but it completely turned around in the afternoon so all good.
2 - One of my lovely regular customers telling me she likes me new haircut and thinks it really suits me. Was so sweet of her.
3 - Early finish at work today.
4 - More tennis. Gutted about Murray though.
5 - About to put fresh sheets on the bed so will be looking forward to slipping into bed tonight.0 -
Hooray for supersaver's fab new job
x
1. Sunshine
2. I managed to not cry when saying goodbye to the children, I had lots of hugs all day, and some beautiful cards, presents and flowers.
3. Fab teacher presents from my teachers - a huge bag full of individually wrapped teacher-stuffA staple gun, a bottle of rose, postits, notebooks, a diary, and loads more - so kind of them.
4. Got my lovely final report signed off, just need to scan and send it to uni for the morning.
5. DD and I were ladies wot partook of a soiree at the theatre tonight. Her best friend's drama group was doing their end of year show at our local theatre, so we went and really enjoyed their hard work
6. Feeling happy, relieved that the course is over and excited about the future0 -
Thanks all.
Started the hard work today, so had a bit of a confidence crisis. My colleagues were lovely, so I'm not sure why I felt like that, but I suspect it's because of the way I was treated in my last job. DD described it's as a bruise that will take time to heal.
I am going to go in tomorrow and speak with my boss and ask for some feedback and a plan for getting up to speed, which will hopefully stop me feeling that I'm rubbish and give me an achievable target. I ask you, 2 proper days in and I think I should know it all. What a nana. Thanks to everyone for your support. Am also absolutely shattered - perhaps should have had some time off instead of holiday pay.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
