Purse found thank goodness.
A day most pleasant. I got to see my favourite aunt who was at my mums. Caught up with some friends this afternoon and we had such a laugh.
Then over to best friends for dinner we had pizza and salad ( RTC of course!)
Brownies and local ice cream to follow.
Some fun face time earlier on with OH and kids.0 -
What a relief about the purse mhags! xx
Frith - grrrrr to the ex MrFrith
1. Met my class!!! They're lovely, very chatty, bubbly, excited (as was I) and I think are going to keep me on my toes come September.
2. Met my lovely morning-only (grrr) TA, she was so nice and really helpful.
3. My co-teacher for the year group is also amazing, we stayed until 6pm (!!) chatting through school things and teaching things and she introduced herself to me with a hug
4. I was also hugged by some of the children in the class!
5. They had all written me lovely introduction letters so I had a good read this evening, and will hopefully even remember some of their names in September!
6. Met lots of their parents and had my first 'teacher talk' with one as her son had been very upset by an incident at lunchtime. Not nice, but I hopefully dealt with the situation okay and he'll be right as ninepence
7. DD was excited to see me tonight, as I was her
8. Yummy dinner waiting for me in the microwave, nomnom.
9. Yummy vino waiting for me in the fridge!
10. Knowing that tomorrow is my last day of uni and then I'm freeee for supply work, DD's school sports day, etc etc.0 -

1) Being very grateful for once that my current job doesn't involve much in the way of mental energy, as I went out for dinner last night and slightly overdid the wine.
2) Lovely warm yellow stuff.
3) Finally managed to clear the comps board again, having fallen a long way behind since going to the Isle of Wight Festival a few weeks ago.
4) Working out why my computer was making a funny noise, and fixing it - I'd accidentally left a CD in the drive.
5) Deciding to be lazy this evening and stay at home rather than going out to the pub quiz - Isis has been providing more than adequate alternative entertainment!Back after a very long break!0 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
sparrer - you have an amazing summer coming up! Lucky thing!
Kittikins - so pleased that you are being welcomed into your new school. You really deserve it!
DigForVictory - your personal touch is really gorgeous. So wish I could remember everything. *envious*
I've been on a course today, all the way over in Birmingham. Went on the train with a couple of colleagues and had a gossip, erm, professional discussion about work.
So, my pleasures for today:
1) Nabbed 2 free pens and a pad from the course.
2) Free lunch. Who said there's no such thing?!
3) Colleague picked me up to take me to the station this morning and DH picked me up to bring me back home!
4) Yet another load of washing in the machine. It seems as though I'm constantly washing; how do people with children manage it??? Just DH and I here...
5) I've written a long list of action points from today's course. Just need to work through it now!

Kittikins - how exciting!
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sons OK at school.
3) Went on the allotment to do some watering and took a couple of lettuces and radishes home.
4) Took the cat basket back to the vets. I borrowed it for the neutering.
5) Took my library books back.
6) Popped to mum and dad's with some shopping they wanted so had a chat with them. Mum gave me a watermelon.
7) Tasty tea of pizza, new pots and HM coleslaw.
8) Interesting phone call! I phoned around specialist shops trying to get a centre for my new lampshade. Spoke to one chap 20 miles away (there is nowhere close) and somehow we got talking about where we live and he lives in mum and dad's village and will drop the right bits off here for me on his way home tomorrow!!!0 -
Ooooh, what was your course on VickyA? Glad you had lunch and got freebies
I'm now in bed but it's too hot to sleep...0 -
Evening Everyone!
Frith - sorry to hear that exMrFrith is causing problems.
sparrer - your summer sounds like it's going to be very exciting. what are you seeing at the commonwealth games? i'm going to athletics.
mhagster - that is really lucky that the purse turned up, phew!
KK - glad you like the kids from your new class.
Mine for today:
1 - Several of my regular customers in work today. So lovely to have a nice chat and have interest both ways. Feel more like friends than customers.
2 - Deciding to wear my shorts with almost bare legs (I had nude tights on). I'm quite funny about my legs but I'm starting to appreciate what I've got no matter what it's like.
3 - Catch up with my sister and hearing all about how much she enjoyed a recent work trip.
4 - Signed up for a new free course starting in Sept. Shakespeare and his world.
5 - Guides tonight. Haven't been in a few weeks so nice to hear what the girls have been up to. Some big decisions to be made though on whether I need to change units or not.0 -
