    Aaaarrrggghhh - I lost a post.

Balls, spherical objects, round things, and Bwllwcks (that's the Welsh version - in our house).

Any way suffice to say I enjoy all your pleasures and am struggling to keep up with the posting.

    Yesterday

    1. Another day another audition another rejection. The pleasure is that DD is OK with it - can see it seems like a bit of a scam and is thinking about going about it a different way.
    2. Took DD and DS to London on the early train - DS is line bashing all week - I.e travelling by train on lines he hasn't travelled on. he went home, London, leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, home. got to be better than exercising his thumbs on X box. We had breakfast at Euston, which was nice.
    3. DD and I tried to get into a show / play. But nothing was available, so we took a walk along Oxford St.
    4. Was met by OH and DS off the train and taken out for curry. Was delish and there is some for the freezer
    5. Visited platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross - it is a bit crap but at least something is there. Harry Potter shop there too, which is a good idea, though the prices are  The University DD was applying for is just behind Kings Cross, and is in an old grain warehouse, I think. Was really cool - and interesting for a construction person like me as it is all being developed. wE had coffee in a groovy wine bar / caf! there and watched some dancing fountains.

    And todays

    1. DS and OH gone off on another train "thing", DD rehearsing in town so had the day to myself. In fact no - one home yet.
    2. Did some marking but it's slow going. There is no pleasure in this. Have enjoyed my iTunes shuffle whilst doing it though
    3. Had nice bath to break things up a bit
    4. Just watched the figure skating. Loved the Korean girl, even if technically she wasn't the best - she was the most beautiful performer.
    5. looking forward to a chat with my sister later.

    Have a lovely evening.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

  • Hi folks! My five for today

    1. Quick journeys to work this week meant I also had time to nip into the supermarket this morning and get a bunch of flowers for a colleague who is leaving. Got paid back too as I kept the receipt for once.
    2. Tea made by DH as there was some of his Curry Club lunch left, so we reheated that.
    3. Walked to Discipleship Group. We're doing a Bill Hybels study on prayer.
    4. Did not buy a B0den dress from the charity shop.
    5. Free pair of thermal pj bottoms from a friend. And they're purple. Warm and happy!

    Sleep peacefully.

Too tired to post pleasures, will do tomorrow.

Just home. Fire outside Birmingham cancelled all our trains. 4 hours to get back to our nearest station. 4 hours in which smaller son got increasingly ill (thanks due to the members of the public who helped me and for everyone on the replace double decker who waited for 10 minutes so he could be ill on the pavement)....

After that journey, straight to hospital for a strong course of antibiotics. Just got to get him to sleep.

Oh Frith, what a nightmare. Poor lad and poor you, and TG for a kind and understanding public. Hope the antibiotics kick in and work well.

Hope master Frith is feeling better today.
tealady hope all is well with you.

So, a day off, hurrah! And Friday ! Hurrah! Had a good sleep , which is a nice change,

Long chat with friend from home .
Nice, soaky bath once everyone was out....just me and my book!
First bath in ages. I always feel guilty about using so much water now.

Lazy morning ...or I should say relaxed morning, then gave myself a shake and a talking to and off out to supermarket. A few bargains, a few rtc items including chicken that's been divided up and in the freezer.

Home and did some housework-y stuff and watched some catch up telly as I worked.

A bit of time spent in the garden.

A huge ironing done whilst listening to Jeremy Vine on the radio.

Had what should have been a delicious dinner but was a bit disappointing . Had bought a ready marinated tandoori chicken (rtc) and roasted parsnips (rtc) and potatoes and veggies, chicken was not as nice as I thought.
Caramel shortbread from last weeks groceries and forgotten about for pud.

Sorted my flowers, my sunflowers are still stunning. Valentines rtc's mainly done....just a wee posy of them left.

Weather quite a bit cooler. 14o at the mo. It's stayed dry although rain was forecast and sky was very overcast all day but windy enough to dry the washing. It's surprising that 19o now feels cool and a cardigan is required! What a woose!

    Have a fabby Friday :)
Kind thoughts and hugs to those in need of them. Thank you for good wishes re OH at a start of week. Whereas before we always took good health as a given, that's not the case now and the slightest thing can be such a worry.
    :)
