  • Finally, the ruff edge has gone, with the full on rotavator this very morn. So smoothness, and possibly coolness with flow with a vigour so chilled, it will seem like a breeze.

Brightened up porch,Fried onions, proper toe nails? That guilt free cake disappeard into thin air. Brown mush, meat ball. Plans, and the right leg out. March filled out. Haggis rolls, that be ruff pastry. Empty roads, cakes and waking mums. Veg soup, chunked around.

This morning, instead of BoPsie hearing the birds singing, I sang like PaborRotti. Toreadore! Even tapped my toes in tune! Must be my full on two biscuit Wheat thing, not coated in milk, but sided, so the top

5 How chilled is BoP. Just yestDi, went with speccy eyed BoPsie, she will get used to her goggles!! If she stops letting BoP walk into things and dizzle about all over the place. So much so, she is highly excited by her goggles, but it is funny after wearing my milk bottles for so long, how unbalancing there are to start with. Poor BoPsie, cannot walk out of the door into yard, without feeling about her BoP and the giddy feet come like lead socks. Still, she wore them in the car, and to wacth the ogle box, tax free on the players. Only problem now, she can see clearly her fabulust BoP, including smoother crinkles!

4 Well, was going to say, after all those punters had all of there chocolates last week, that Me and BoPsie would be soon for the BarGuns, and BarGuns we got. W8Rz cleaned out, and literally, someone has nicked the ceiling at ours!! Rather, they are doing the place over. We gets Mushrooms, two lots for 40p. £1.60 saved. Oranges, chirpy chirpy cheap cheap, and the money off as well. In fact, BoP saved so much money overall, we liquidated it into a nice relaxing chhnnter and wobbleades.

3 Pints of wobbleade for BoP. And tonite, BoPsie has placed an order at the Chateau BoPreanza, the classic cat aproned caf!, for Mushroom Snoganoff. Her favourite dish, done cheap with a pack of them there mushrooms. Serverd with rice and a slice. Now, as I chopped up onion for sald, I will no grout have to chop another in my style of Toe Nailed onions.

2 day, well it happened to on a Thursday, is Jenny’s second anniversary. Here she goes. :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls So, also cleared off the shelves, and used realistically, are the valentine share cakes, cheap. They even have hearts on them, that give old Jenny a buzzzzzzing :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls

    1 Ah, Ah, Ah,
    Staying Alive, Staying Alive.
Sing it that is the beat you need to do CPR

And 9 years ago today, I bought a packet of 20 Superkings!. I had left my other packet at home. I gave up smoking on the Monday, and smoked every last one of them, it took until Tuesday. Since then, smoke free.

    The week's collection:

    1. Getting CD in the post to Canada, with the happy anticipation of the pleasure it will bring the listener.

    2. Angrove Rumbaba won four classes and got Champion again last weekend. Thanks to the vagaries of Facebook updating it was a while before I noticed. The aim this year is for the summer's Great Yorkshire Show. Gives me something to follow as we watch the yearling Fatty and foal Boo grow. Though Boo will be a yearling soon.

    3. Two wonderful musical evenings. The usual, then an extra night to see my favourite artist, Kieran Halpin, who was on top form - I got lots of videos to help me to remember the evening.
A few years ago I asked him to sing my favourite song of his ('Solo') I vowed not to do it again as he forgot the lyrics, and I felt awful for giving him that.
Last year he sang it as the encore at the live music club -word perfect. :D

Dang me, last night Kieran did 'Solo' again as the encore. This time I got it on video.:D:j Also an extra pleasure - I had the company of one of the former MSE'rs who had some hassle and decided to quit, lovely to share a great experience.

We also had a brilliant band as support, headed by one of the music club regulars and I got a CD of theirs, for just a fiver. Looking forward to listening to that later.

    4. DD and DGC visiting to look forward to tomorrow. I found some Christmas presents I forgot to give them. This happens every year without fail, although it has been known to be Easter/ birthday gifts as well, as a variation on a theme.

    5. Best Buddy came for lunch, which was a rich, thick warming spicy lentil soup made in the soup maker. We so enjoyed it. The rain held off for her too, always a plus of late. Lovely to catch up and to share some giggles.
We have a very similar sense of humour (quite dark and ironic at times) and it was such fun.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    1) Working close enough to where I live that I could pop home to be in when a parcel was delivered.

    2) An understanding manager so, when my car developed a nasty-sounding noise that meant I couldn't get back, she just gave me permission to work at home for the rest of the day.

    3) Nice AA man fixed the fault, which turned out simply to be a bent bit of metal scraping against the wheel and not anything more serious.

    4) Found a neighbour's letter lying in my flower bed, where it had presumably been dropped by the postman, and took it back where it belonged. Said neighbour turned out to have a gorgeous, friendly golden retriever, so I got good karma from my good deed for the day, and doggy cuddles as well. :D

    5) Finally got a dehumidifier from the letting agent, although I've had to turn it off temporarily as the noise was annoying me and scaring Isis!

    6) Now off to watch some of the ice skating, before heading out to the pub quiz a bit later.
Back after a very long break!

Chickenopolis - I can take or leave Cath, but I depend on natty bags at Christmas, so I learned to discriminate between the nice & the designer label nice to keep assorted family womenfolk happy. Isn't it glorious when birthdays are properly celebrated in the office?! Glad you mum was just napping!
Skint yet Again - sorry silly putah playing up. The right insult helps, I find: "overpriced lump of sand!" as an example. Must chase One Show just for Tony Hart!
kittikins - *multiple* to do lists? No! < brief whimper in a corner> I've learned to use my phone. Fun "mummy/daughter day" sounds brilliant! Wish *our* music lessons had included the hokey cokey!
CCP - it has been surprisingly warm! Ah well, haggis is not always glorious. Hugs to Isis! Sounds a good day with AA sorting nasty noise, boss letting work from home, *and* doggy cuddles! Dehumidifier may be loud - got the help for electricity in writing? Enjoy the quiz!
Broomstick - when we go South, we try to cop both the Birmigham and the Stoke Saxon Hoard displays in one drive. The irony of "Surge Domine et dissipentur inimici tui et fugiant qui oderunt te a facie tua" and the beauty & craftsmanship leave me utterly weak at the knees. Go gently at the book clearing. Only those where there is no *immediate* emotional reaction. Congratulations, Son of Broomstick, on degree certificate!
Frith - it is tough to get boys to sit and be cropped, isn't it?! Yippee feet pausing in growth this week!
patchwork - it is wonderful to be appreciated at work. The tragedy is how rarely it happens! What is wrong with brown mush?!
Purple kitten - glad we helped & all the very best with new application! Cleaning done by someone else is a wonderful treat.
lovefullshelves - you must be such fun to have as a parent! No bad mother makes her children laugh that hard. Keep the photos - either sell to Best Man or keep for when care homes being considered...!
sparrer - all this maintenance gardening - may you have a bumper crop of strawberries & ongoing happy pansises & cyclamens. Hemming in situ - why didn't I think of that with the hall curtain?! Brilliant!
mhagster - staff feed! But with smokers - ick. Tomatoes in February are a treat, even one by one! Rotten book buyer conning DD. Cosset yourself a bit on your day off?!
ampersand - you create magic describing the park, the ducks, the hedges, the children - I can almost taste the icecream & enjoy the merry thuds & shrieks & splashes. Hurrah for fence panels with Auncient discount! May the jug shatter & slice all improper hands, feet & faces - glad all around did what they could to help. Sorry also to read of the passing of the RAF veteran & dead right to appreciate W in the manner he will enjoy! Love Attenborough homework "frantic & often futile" - the girls still got bronze!
BoP - devastated to hear your Waitrose plans scuppered in part by refurb but mushroom stroganoff sounds sensational! Blinking well done quitting the weed.£27K saved? Hellfire!
mcculloch - hurrah for Angrove Rumbaba & the thriving yearling & foal! "Late" presents extra fun!

OS Pleasures in the last 24 hours
The Great TV Remote Hunt is under way. The Weaving Shed (& bins) have been tossed, as has the bathroom & each person has been frisked!
(Found in amongst shoe polishing gear...)

Oh my - work has water problems & everyone sent home! (Apart from me, who has an all day job in another building.) Some days you just can't win, but if it isn't fixed for tomorrow, I'll get a half term Friday with the family!

Met a digital colleague in person today - she's as fun as she sounds & we got the conference room sorted to our satisfaction & all the technical stuff working perfectly! (Conference then unexpectedly fascinating...)

Chuckles over accounting with lads - one son adamant he's bought £15 of paint from a brother & there isn't any record of it in latest birthday & christmas accounts. We've agreed if it isn't documented, it hasn't happened...

Blimey - made my fourth star! Silver with ribbon - does little happydance.

Big hugs to all who need them, many thanks for the yellow stuff and halfterm Almost Over *already*!
  • Congrats BOP on staying smoke free.
1.Just got in an nabbed some painkillers a pleasure as I’d run out of my strong ones at work and was feeling it.:o
2.Feeling a little bit flat from the work emotional roller coaster, the company that wanted me in for an interview was a company I would not work for, in short I didn’t know I was applying to them, the chap at the agency then left the agency but took this role with him. So feeling a bit flat I want to get out so much but not into the fire, still thinking about it as the interview offer is there but my gut says it’s not the right move, if I wanted to work there I would have applied for that but I don’t. Something will come up.

3.We need to get some shopping in so just heading out fingers crossed for some yellows, ahh but that is stuffed with half term ah well worth a try as still need milk, bread and well most things looking at the tumble weed around.:)
    4.Silly conversations with DH.
    5. Looking forward to whatever tea may be, when I get my bum into gear.
I’ll be back to relaxingly read everyone’s pleasures

Evening all. Thanks for your lovely pleasures.

Kk, walruses can be very lively indeed. :rotfl::p
Congrats from me too, BoP, on the quitting cigarettes anniversary and for the reminder about savings. It's a really big affirmation for all of us who have given up smoking in the past. :D

I may well go missing for a bit. Just had our third major [STRIKE]disaster [/STRIKE]challenge in the past 24 hours. The stars must be in the wrong place for us at the moment!

    Five pleasures regardless:

    1. Came home mid afternoon to the house looking immaculate courtesy of DSs tackling it while I spent 11 hours overnight in casualty (it's ok I'm still going strong :D just didn't need (3) while dealing with the fallout from (1.)) Lots of lovely, kind staff.

    2. Really deep sleep late afternoon - lots of zzzs to catch up on.

    3. We can start to look, at long last, for a house that is not in a flood zone courtesy of LLs notice to quit because she wants to sell which she posted through the door at teatime today. And it will be a chance to focus on a ton more decluttering. She's given us more notice than she needs to as well. (Can you tell that my knuckles are going white clinging to the positives?)

    4. Am getting my DSs back home early because the mix up that has just happened with the half-term sports hall booking tonight (all my fault and has never happened before) has meant that we have had to cancel. [I really want them home and safe, and to lock the doors and tell the world to s*d off! - the pleasure in that was the honesty of the statement!!! :rotfl:]

    5. Organic soup and cheese for supper. Two (for symmetry because my day has felt extremely unbalanced indeed :)) shop bought, cheap, little pots of cream caramel for pudding.

If I don't reappear for a while it's because I'm sorting out the main priorities in the above, and I don't mean cream caramels!

Off to wait for DSs and to try to find something mindless to watch on iplayer for distraction purposes.

    Sweet dreams. Hugs to all.

    B x

Oh heck Broomstick, what a catalogue of yuk you're having to go through! :( If I can help with anything, tip me the wink, I'm not far, and if you need help decluttering when you find a much nicer house (ya boo sucks Landlord!) then I'm happy to help - I'm good at helping others declutter, just not so good at it myself.....

Hope the trip to A&E will not require any follow ups xx

    1. Hoorah, after finding all (I think) of my to do lists, I'm spending a very long day in the library wading through and ticking the vast majority of them off :) and I'm feeling very chuffed with myself, too!

    2. I avoided stopping off in the shops for 'treats' to eat in the library and really enjoyed my leftovers I lovingly packed into a non-sealed box....thank goodness I'd double-bagged the box inside carrier bags!

    3. I've found some fab books to help me plan for a couple of weeks' time - yup, always thinking ahead, that's me!

    4. Bumped into a couple of chums during my day, but the slackers have all left now. I was here at 9:30am and haven't left yet!!! (but think I ought to soon, I've got neck ache from bending over the books and laptop....)

    5. Pondering, as I've done so much work this week (we'll forget about the mega-essay....) whether DD and I should see who's free tomorrow night down in Brighton, so we could have a part-ay to celebrate the last proper day of half term....
