1. Phew! After a lot of time in the library, I've finally written up 5 lesson plans for next week's English
2. And....drum roll please.....5 lessons for Music to be done over the rest of my placement
3. Have only bumped into one chum in the uni library today, but better than none!
4. Have crossed out a lot of things on my to do list....shame they were just the 'to do for school' things and not the full, including uni list. Ah well.....
5. Have listened to a lot of fab music through headphones whilst working
6. Have also snuck in a few choccie biccies whilst working
7. Have bought a hat/bow tie to be the Cat in the Hat on world book day - thank you bay of eeeee for being molto cheap
8. Have also bought DD's next piano book - she wants to try and finish her current one during half term, apparently!! Roll over Beethoven, here comes Miss Kittikins0 -
I’m sorry I lost yesterdays post.
1. Work has been a bad doozy today, I nearly resigned, but when I came home and got animal snuggles it almost made it worth it. I counted the months thinking not long to go.
2. Just chucked a veggie casserole on.
3. Bought a fraction of the price maxi dress in the hope of sun this year.
Ohh and just phoned up BT politely saying considering I pre paid for the year why where they charging, so they refunded and say they have sorted it.. Honestly you have to watch the bills like a hawk.
4. Sorry I am going to stash 4 and 5 for easier days0 -
Hugs PK hope the evening goes smoothly for you and that you feel happier at work tomorrow x0

Lovely news about your OH, mhagster and your MiL, Pk.
DfV, I didn't mean the whole lot in one go. :rotfl: It's just that they have the whole series of Sceptred Isle and you book them out per 3hr (ish) CD equivalent.
sparrer, thank you.
Five pleasures for Tuesday:
1. Heaps more snoozing and feeling rough so gave into it. Glad it's half-term. The pleasure was more sleeping!
2. Am still feeling over the moon about the library audiobooks and consequently am not so miserable any more about radio iplayer. Found a lovely collection of short stories to listen to after Sceptred Isle. Have also discovered that they let you download onto CD so I will be able to listen in the car. I will survive! :j
3. Clean sheets on the bed.
Pk, thanks for the idea, I shall stash my 4 and 5 as well for a day that is a bit more energetic.
Sweet dreams,
B x0 -

5 yummy chicken stew made from the carcass of Fridays dinner
And today
1 OH and I drove into Town together (trains are up the spout from our town this week, so driving is Much more convenient)
2 teaching went OK given that I didn't really know what I was talking about - although, it seems, in the end I did
3 took DS and DD shopping. Spent £200 in a matter of moments  on uniform, shoes and jeans. DD drove and DS behaved in the back seat

Hugs and hugs, pk. 2 spares means 7 tomorrow, after a lovely sleep and more furrety cuddles.
1. Extremely purple today in new-to-me velour trousers, ditto purply multistripe Per Una bolero/cardie and beloved ancient Norfolk jacket which was never new even when I first had it, easily a decade ago, purple leather boots, purply silk scarf, purple cashmere other one and red streak in hair peeping from purple-clipped up plait. Felt v. Jenny Josephs.
2. Thought of you kk. Think we would have shared this pleasure. Have listened to France Inter all day today. Mid-afternoon concert came with i/v with Prof. Michael Lewin and Miloš Karadaglić after a glorious rendition of de Falla. It was in Eng., MK having studied in London, so sim.trans was employed. There was a perfect point of 'mot juste'. He: 'When I work on a piece...' Trans:'Quand j'entame ma musique ...' such a delicious verb to use-and that possessive. Utterly French. I loved it.
3. Spoke to NZ v. early. Could have been wrong, wasn't.
4. Found new sassy-lady-comical pinny in CS for the famberley box - part of their over-ordered crimbo stock? £17 down to £1.49.
5. Ended up back at saddler where monogram was blind-punched onto something. It's been a real saga getting this done. The old 3 tooled gilt letters across bottom r/h cnr doesn't seem to be standard or happen anywhere now. It's all done by laser for gun-stocks, saddles, tack etc., but this is no good for calf-skin wallets.
6. Another lost Fen pitstop on way back - watched flaming sunset, livid vermillion/orange. Scampering bunnies. Roosting domestics of crows. On France Inter, Marseille had worrying moustiques, never before known at this time of year. Much worry over unseasonal warmth mixed with floods, storms, typhoons. There's a run on citronella.
hwb here:-)
Oh, nearly forgot - dfv. At same CS, picked up way under-priced 1929 First World Scout Jamboree book. This will be for my Queen's Scout cousin. Marvellous sepia print, stirring text and terrific photos. You would be snapped up here. Will add that in Bank, dear Simon said 'Don't tell her anyone...just cos she's gone and made 300 plus against India. &: 'Oh, I haven't done that since I was Brian Lara. Have I just done it again?' Simon: 'You've saved an impossible match.'

Good evening everyone :hello:
PK - huge hugs and I hope that tomorrow is a teensy bit better.
Kittikins - I am in awe of how much energy you have! I try to have that much drive, keeping lists etc, but never seem to tick much off. Your DD is lucky to have you. x
It has been a second day of "lurgy proper" today but I've had to get on with some things. So, pleasures for today:
1) Paid a cheque into the bank and a couple of bags of 5ps and 1ps. All goes into the holiday fund. Where can we go with £6??
2) Spag bol vat cooked up this evening. Seven portions in total: 2 eaten this evening, 4 for the freezer and 1 for my lunch tomorrow.
3) Watched Mamma Mia this afternoon. Sang at the top of my voice, badly, out of tune but no one was here to hear, thankfully.
4) Listened to Ben Ainslie on Desert Island Discs. Another really interesting one. I know that things on the radio iplayer page has all changed, but the DID page is really excellent and you can search by decade/song artist/subject or even date.
5) Ironing of DH's shirts done. Just the rest of the ironing pile to go.
Tomorrow I'll have to do my planning for next week. However, I've declared that it's "Colin Firth Day" tomorrow so I'll have the BBC Pride & Prejudice on in the background.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
