I will get back into the swing of things and do today's pleasures:

The main one is being grateful to doctors, nurses, kindly receptionists, phlebotomists, pathologists etc....they all do an amazing job !

Whirling dervish this morning ....nervous anxiety meant housework was done very quickly! Not sure how/ why ( well, children probably!) it gets untidy so quickly but nice to be tidy!

Beautiful sunny day ( not too hot) , washing on line dried quick and awaits ironing! Walked uphill all the way to the medical centre to meet OH there. Noticed some beautiful flowers in gardens. So much has died off in heat.

OH dropped me at local shops. Bought a punnet of strawbs in green grocers only $1.99 , popped into DDs shop and was given staff discount! ( only supposed to be when she is with me)

Pottered in the garden , sweeping up leaves. Trees are shedding leaves as it's been so dry.

Phone call from friend in Sydney.was nice to chat with her for a while.

Girls came home from school rather red! They'd been at the school swimming carnival.....motherly shouts of remember sun cream obviously in vain this morning!

I made sausage rolls for tea with rtc sausage meat and then made little tartlets filled with dulce de leche and cream and strawberries for pudding....gave my boy 2 as he did the dishwasher!

Little bit of weeding in the veg patch just now but the mozzies are out!

    Enjoying reading my library book.

    Happy Tuesday :)

    ykwya-have just emptied some pms.

Also note plenty of comments that bbc have shut down the anti-ranti comment columns pdq.
But there ARE ways of making views known to[it couldn't be more appropriate]Mr Bean, christened Daniel. He's called 'Senior Product Manager' which says all that's necessary i.e. factory operator, as opposed to programme maker, producer, REAL broadcaster with REAL experience. Heaven forfend.

Ruff Cut today, the rotavator, Braun type, battery is flat and when it is, there be a slight tug when trimming. So the edges, what I said yestdi that were no where near smooth, this morning are decidedly more curse than usual. Now, anyone need a beard rub today?

Chicken Run. John Cooper Clarke, Evidently Chicken Town. Not for you gals, is bit too crude, so no link. You probably know him for the Kung Fu one. More smoked salmon. That would be an Edinburgh breakfast, smoked salmon, in scrambled eggs, hit of spinach, pepper, served on warm toast. And are you sure that the salmon did not wake the cat? What, no meat clever! MiLs feeling chirpy, nites planned for the city. Tigers Roar, Skaters (Did they?).Sofa Days, no duvets. Back from the Hospitals. :heartpuils Hope no wind! But vanishing Sis! Rivers lapping, Owls hooting. More chicken suppers. DD, t’other bored for that, wes cant elf here. Ah, read on. No Bovver, should be sorted then. Just underslided, a scary veg soup. Must try that on BoPsie

& has BoPnitis. A serious, semi delusionary condition that affects your ability to
    There is no known cure

Stomachs tied in knots. Here’s Jenny :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls
    BoPsie is still clear.

    Happy Tuesday.

5 Well, you all nose how things can brighten the days . En-route to Salt Mine this morning, but of a blockage on the road to the swing bridge, the one with cables dangling on the Severn, old style like this post. Always nice to see the people out and wet on the hard shoulder, but the two BMW’s were slightly worse for wear. One, appears to be matey from a few weeks back, who flew round from Bristol way, during the road works, only to be pulled by the Old Bill. Looks like the car will not reach the next tax disc this morning. The BoP truck sailed away.

4 Whilst sat twiddling the thumbs, did notice the great big white thing slipping away this morning. Not often see the moon at that time of day. No forgets now, I have booked yellow thing for Easter

3 Raffles, now this morning, he eats his cod pieces straight away. Now why is that. YesDi, fresh can, no touch, storms out over the fence in a huff. This morning, wolfed down. And last night, he tried to invade the pitch, as mes and BoPsie played Scrabble. I lost, as you probably will be swinging the cat. Not Raffles, the eight tailed variant, in joy at that glorious news. No need to worry, as I have said before and will now emphasise quite categorically. BoPsie has not, no not every, in fact never. Won three on the bounce. And, that is not going to change one iota.

2 had a great day with the BoPsie yesDi even if she does beat me at Scrabble. But, as she shoulder surfs in this area, so she needs a BoPsie Boost. So today, I am sending a BoPsie boost via the silly things page to BoPsie.

1 There is a line in the sand, but washed away by the tide. Just like the tide mark I left in the bath on SunDi.

Frith pleased you got through the gastroscopy without too much trauma. Congrats on your son getting the school of choice :)
mhags excellent news that your DH is okay, it's normal to worry and no point in telling anyone not to under the circumstances. Much relieved for you all :)
broomstick please take care of you, make sure you get enough rest and don't worry about iplayer, there's plenty of other media. Not that I use iplayer, don't have time to see all I'd like to anyway! Busy busy retirement ;)
DD sorry to hear about the problems with DS's LL, what a...well, I won't say it. Thank goodness you have someone who can give you some advice

    1. MiA yesterday as went out with DD and DGD2, no particular reason but it was just nice to go window and cs shopping.
    2. Bought a novel cake tin for DS's partner rtc £8 to £2. She makes all sorts of cakes so hoping she doesn't have one like this as it's quite unusual :)
    3. Intended to do the garden today as we've had two dry days but as ladyhawk used to say 'Man plans and God laughs' - it's so wet that I've painted the hall instead
    4 nsd/npd
    5. Lovely friend who'se DB passed away last month is back from Oz/Dubai, we're now planning our next holiday and everything crossed nothing will go wrong this time :)

Enjoy the rest of the day, now the sun is shining again so I'm going outside while I have the opportunity :)

BritishBibliophile - well done that chap on narcissi - lovely scent!
CCP - glad to hear of proper cosy sleep & intrigued - are hot dogs snorkers? Smoked salmon & haggis - I'll be over shortly! Sis *easing* back into work? (Did you like the haggis?! I'm biased!) delighted to hear LL's sidekick more useful - how much have you in writing?!
Ampersand - good storage is a blessing & Mondays seem about to become fascinating! Gently, gently with uncovered hand! Love the new nowhere & oyster patties sound superlative! Son read your insult & asked if we were related. I add syllables of frustration into personalised insults, too. Share your delight/smitten state! A "turve or tweveral" - lovely phrase! Sniffy email fermenting before I send it to yon Bean. Passport has landed - delight!
Purple kitten - my relaxing crystal is a friendly handful of granite rounded by the sea. Brings back all sorts of happy relaxed memories! Hurrah celebrating with a Fireman Sam sponge cake! If you can part with books, I'm told it's oddly liberating (& makes space for new friends.) All the best - make sure someone else lifts!
VickyA - amidst bracing draughts, you have relocated some magazines & plan to cheer on a spectacularly self disciplined Canadian! Lurgy sounds beastly but will hunt Torville & Dean's discs. (I gather iPlayer has been revamped?)
DD - dundeedawg recovering? Well done adding a recently retired solicitor to the family! Glad to hear of slippers, soup & cybermen! Hope dog-bug affects wretched LL & that solicitor can put a legal bite on.
Kittikins - delighted to hear courtesy alive & kicking, and that credit card up for a refreshing draught of refund! Charade activities? Fun! Veggie cobbler sounds glorious!
Broomstick - delighted to hear you getting good food & rest in despite weather & then enjoying skies & cheeky wildfowl! Sleeps are good for you. What e-ISBN for *complete* Sceptred Isle?!
Caterina - no effort, just how else to stay in touch?! Delighted to hear you bring cosseted with roses even if car feeling puny!
Sparrer - just how dependent is Dawlish on grockle-income? As the present blitz spirit is wonderful but may struggle with competitive economics. With you on feeling so lucky! Glad friend back from Oz/Dubai & holiday plans afoot. Novel cake tin sounds great fun!
Frith - glad your brother is helping with the lonesome & I hope wading through Winchester in part makes up for the howling inconveniences. Gastroscopy imminent so you lay about you in the allotment? Good thinking! Any aches clearly down to digging. Claustrophobic nurse?! OK, that distracts beautifully! Hurrah son in right school!
Skint yet Again - definitely have a loud whistle handy for the phone. Works well on telesales folks too... Well done on DIY & OS girls night!
BoP - ah, spotted !!!!!!! Garden centre mostly overpriced disappointments unless have explosive chemicals in. Raffles prefers matured catfood?! Benny Hill tune & pepper sauce now in my imagination too! Yellow thing booked for Easter? Splendid!
Chickenopolis - loving the chooks civil war... Line dried sheets? I'm not hoping for that til August! Maple buds? Hope they survive the next rounds of weather! Aw - chosen eggs for chosen few! Would-be-escapee old lag or newbie?
Lovefullshelves - delighted to hear your family are helping you feel better & well done with the laundry! Gently with the work!
VJsmum - "practice for being retired"?! I've "good at once or won't" family - now seems normal but driving merits slogging at it! Without 360 paranoia, bikes just toxic.
Bagpuss - a day without an alarm in a treat! Now a whole week! Lemon sole sounds utterly delicious!
Patchwork - church SF&F?! For example? Delighted to hear MiL home.
Mhagster - hurrah you are back & that the fear has gone (til next time.) You have RAIN?! 6lb marrow - blimey that's plenty to experiment with! Zucchini aka courgette? Glad to see sunshine restored.

    OS Pleasures
"We'll have to start him on cigs so he doesn't grow!"
    "Prefer a pipe!..."
(Child determined to dress like the scion of some draughty house in the 1930s - pyjamas, tartan slippers, dressing gown - pipe & rare book the details that would make a Wimsey costume!)

"There's a blinking seak wignal, I mean weak signal, along here"

Our car boot bod had not only another handy picketing line for kickers, but a wad of Cath Kidston bags for Tesco. I'll pay off that credit card yet!

Youngest annexing the scarlet kindle as his own. At last! No "spare" kindles, ahem. Will discuss Skulduggery & who else to board the vessel.

Two silk handkerchiefs found on a car boot stall, lace trimmed, embroidered with roses & the motto "to my dear sister", which will sort 2 birthday presents in style! (No use, alas, but very lovely.)

Listening to son struggle with "Corinthian" even though he wants to use the trouser press! He's not read Georgette Heyer or he'd grasp the word pronto...

The beaming grin of Small Boy Victorious as he realises ironing school trous has just got a lot easier. (Whether that grin will last 15 pairs of trous remains to be seen.)

"Cheese-o-meter off the scale!" - the vintage SF the chaos are watching has delightfully old fashioned special effects.

Passed Scout Appointment Committee! Can now get my uniform & will have to be invested...

Son, sharing mint imperials, dropped one in my tea. Bodes interesting!

"I want a scutter" - son's bedroom floor would need one with legs...

Not sure which courier but Ashford got the hint & politely tapped at door til heard boots thudding! Hawthorn hedge part 2 has arrived!

Child opines grandfather looks a bit like Mr.Dyson. Uproar until clarity - around the eyebrows...

Big hugs to all who need them, happy half term to all affected by it & let's work on staying dry & well?!

    - was thinking of your silly ex texting you. I had written quite a lot on twitter to my friend this morning (about gastroscopies, mainly!) then noticed that the ex MrB had become a new "follower" of mine early this morning. :-/ Well, I hope he enjoyed my dull updates about the weather, which roads are flooded etc before he was well and truly blocked. Silly man.

MHags - so pleased to hear good news about MrMHags. :-)

Here are my pleasures for today, quickly before sons return!

    1) A lie in.

    2) Went to the allotment to get my allotment keys off Fred. :-)

    3) Found a geocache whilst out that way.

    4) My weed proof membrane stuff has arrived and one blackberry plant.

    5) House is tidy (but not for long).

    6) Just did 45 minutes of Wii fit and found I have lost 6 lbs this year despite not trying and being ill so eating silly things that I fancied!

    7) Sons back soon.

    8) Holby City later.

    9) Planning for Thursday. We are going on the train to Birmingham (Snow Hill) then I looked at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and they have a minibeast roadshow and a photorealism exhibition! After that, back on the train to Five Ways and we have an hour booked in the sensory room at Autism West Midlands.

ETA 10) Had a message from my sister's friend who has a marvellous vegetable garden and she is going to give me tiny plants (inc cucumber) for allotment because she always does too many. :-)
