Headache slowly waning but I have a feeling it will be back. Quite soon. If I could just decipher the &BoP convo (does anyone remember the song mmmbop? It's about as confuzzling as that!) all would become clear, however I, as much as others, would like to see the vid on utube. Be fun to see the old game cheetah get his comeuppance
The treadmill is in the back of DD's car. We need two muscular men. To get it into the house, that is
the yellow thing is here in abundance! :T:j:T:j:T
More later, Happy February0 -
Broomstick - gameplan just to start Scouts on seams for the Creativity - mostly as a half made bag invites further creativity as to how they finish it, which scores more bonus points for them. I'll put carrier bag savers on the creativity project list, especially as England will start charging! Splendid healthy steps & goods luck to son re:Masters! Love your taxi soundtrack & awed by effective bribery for washing up
mcculloch - properly inflated tyres AND pea & ham soup? Hurrah! (An after Christmas treat to us children, that latter - suddenly we'd eat Anything Green if it had ham stock!)
CCP - after all the internal water, how good are you at swimming? IOW & back? Snow always fun to watch - for the first few minutes. Enjoy the Chinese food!
mhagster - cooler outside?! Well done on a sorted to do list & hurrah for stunning hair! Googled Point Nepean & it looks *glorious*! All the best with work after a such an amazing day!
lovefullshelves - nuture that skunk streak - remind him than as our angels wings lapse, we move to broomsticks, being flexible that way. I'm all for experimental meals - "Cupboard Suprise" is one of my specialities & no website photos to discombobulate!
BoP - "Two bells!" sounds like me waking the lads, only I got better results with "Bacon cooking!" Raffles at your slippers? There are ways of discouraging that... As for the English cricketers, the lasses get brought back with honour, pedalled by the lads in the bilges. Scrabble & Bishop - great fun if slightly iffy combination.
Tealady - theatre ticket upgrade? Delightful! MSE Chinese & why shouldn't a growing lass have hollow knees?
ampersand - I vote, no matter how much a chore, so I can grouse from the moral high ground! Hand delivered straight to a desk? Style as it bypasses most security... Right with you - if they'll do that to the Reef, rugby is *strongly* indicated. Huge thanks for indelicate guffaws of laughter at frog story & the stillness of rightness at the sonnet. Loving the Mornington Crescent after the live feed, & when you and BoP set to, sell tickets (Bags the wobbleade concession?)!!
sparrer - you utter heroine you & may your daughter get the right meds sharpish! (Anyone tried hypnotherapy? May be of use, if she's taught rightly.) Hoping muscular helpful folks will be along shortly! Enjoy the yellow stuff before it gets liquid again!
VJSmum - right with you on puzzling over someone's face (turned out colleague a ringer for Voldemort! Now also Mark, but I think he'll understand if I remember V...) Mocks already? Yikes! Go the the 50th knowing you are loved & respected, which no plastic surgeon can fake!
Frith - toboganning in a car is no fun - hurrah for special offer tyres! The bingo sounds Wonderful - why should you *not* have family induced hysterics?! Ampersand has it spot on with Mississippee mum pie!
kittikins - ah good about the glasses! All the very best with the application forms & have your daughter remind you about placement partner? Showing learning, eh? (I've a Getting My Money's Worth tale about that..) I must be doing something wrong - instead of "pinch punch!" I have meter readings.
OS Pleasures
That lovely Neil Oliver intones "This isn't just a tomb" - & the assembled family choruses "it's an M&S tomb!" (Oh Dear....)
The cheers as Sharpe does something heroic - Sharpe films get repeatedly rewatched in this house! (Whereas American reruns get a different response...)
Pal messaged me about upcoming colonoscopy & I was able to be very reassuring & very frank on procedure, prep & things I'd do differently another time.
Reading notes a child & I exchanged on a train. "She's a Big Snoring Hippo!" and "I'm a Mage and godlike/So? And I'm your *mother*." have me giggling in recollection.
Recalling the Whittaker Museum, where in one room there were fossils inset into the floor, a charming small bronze of a vole & a spectacular decanter case. It is almost too pretty for the booze!
Big hugs to all who need them, medications & dictionaries to such as care for them & all the best with the forthcoming weather!0 -
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well. Not much time right now so I will catch up on posts later. I was away with family Mon - Fri hence my absence so here are some of my pleasures for the past week.
* Time with the family. It's a rare occassion when we are all together so it's always nice when it does happen.
* Seeing my sister. I moved to the South of England in 2012 and she is still in Scotland so our time together is even more precious now. She truely is my best friend.
* Cold walks on the beach. I love a beach in winter.
* Went to an amazing little zoo. The staff were full of passion and you got so close to the animals. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
* Spent hardly any money while away as we mostly enjoyed walks and each others company.
* Home to a letter from my adopted squaddie.
* Being back in my own bed last night!0 -
Echo Beach. Days on the beach. Sisters well, or others swell. No video referee for the Scrabble. DFV discourage Raffles. Only change my socks and trim my toe nails once a fortnight. The fort! More later. Ohhhh, the colonoscopy. BoP was done last Easter. BoPsie is a little more regular now! Martha and the Muffins, is that SPARRA! Far away in time! Late nite, no Quack C. Come on gals, I am the mint round here! Moods lifting. Oi, I be the one who is grumpy. Got it! Just because yous ... No show on the snow!
5 Gosh Ms BoPsie. Better in black. Legs to i. Was so kind last night when she opened up a lead in the thirst game. Offered best of three. Your fab BoP win 2-0
4 Raffles has succoured the string light in the toilet. And on, off, on it goes. Corner bowl in my chambers, he fills. But as there is no side, paws everywhere on exit! As in shower bath the morn. When I was in. He is fearless.
3 Snorkers, best smoked back. SpagYETTI, mushrooms and eggs for breakfast brunch. Then BoPsie had to return the Spam to w8r. Got big replacement free. That be span omelette tea.
2 Nite is snuggles nite with BoPsie

I have indeed had ma tea &
sparrer hope your dd is feeling better soon
frith tut tut putting bingo caller off ;-)
Fell fast asleep last night watching muskateers and slept minus a couple of murmurings for 10 hours! So for yesterday and today
1) colleague's wife brought in a box of krispy donuts. I was teaching all day and when i got to my desk at lunch break there was one donut in the box on my desk :-)
2) teaching went well despite being jetlagge. It was 7 hours on QA which as we all know stands for Quite Amazing. There were 8 countries represented by the 15 students and for one group activity i asked them to work in countries to introduce their country and the accreditation process. It was fascinating to hear the variation and i learnt a lot
3) hm tuna pasta salad for lunch and aforementioned donut
4) heavy rain in the afternoon had subsided to light drizzle by home time so walked saving bus fare making it a NSD
5) have given cat beds to spaniels. Cats never used them anyway, much preferring my bed (cats would dispute that statement - apparently it's their bed and i'm allowed to sleep in it if i behave!) Currently 2 spaniels curled up in them in front of the fire. Soooo sweetMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Very BNPL - £353.000 -
1) NSD and NPD.
2) Woke up to the very unexpected sight of yellow stuff peeking through the curtains.
3) Managed 800+ words of essay, despite a serious case of writer's block. :undecided
4) It's a wild old night, but I have no cause to go out in it.
5) And will instead stay inside with a glass of wine and some tennis. (& - no, I missed the Ward match, more's the pity - I won't be doing that once I've got my nice new calendar pinned up on the wall (with no guilt about possibly damaging the LL's wall, because it can't be damaged much more than it is already!)).
Stay safe and dry, everyone!Back after a very long break!0 -
Pleasures for today:
1. Walk through the park in the sunshine
2. Met up with friend in waitrose, had free tea together and shared a croissant
3. Free Saturday paper because I spent mote than a fiver
4. 3 reduced chilli plants bought there too, gave one to a friend and kept two, loaded with chillies!
5. Lovely leftover "fusion cookery " lunch, chick pea curry AND vege meatballs in tomato sauce. A mix made in heaven!
6. Another lovely walk through the park in the afternoon, with DH
7. Massive achievement: started, finally, tidying up the paperwork that had tormented my consciousness for the last year or so. Quite a but left to do, but at least I have started, and done a fair amount.
Good night all xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Let me find some pleasures in the land that cool weather forgot....another 41o day.....I am meeeeelting!
Up and about early, had time to phone my favourite 6 year old before she went to bed and had a lovely chat with her mum!
Work ....was warm but passed by quickly enough and I felt more in control today...and I'm not the new girl anymore. A nice new girl started today and we all worked together very nicely. Came home with some carrot cake
Cool shower .
Washing and more washing but dried in no time and all ironed in front of the fan.
My poor car is sick.....drove home with warning lights flashing! So I shall be commuting by train this week , it's no hardship , just have to leave a bit earlier and home a little bit later.
Have a lovely Sunday.....I will send some sun and heat for anyone who wants some....free!0
