5 Puss pot Raffles has pawed Ms BoPsie. Or in other words, he is a tad too quick for her. Not quite a fast on her hands as she sued to be so. Anyhow, it is Ms BoPsie who has been clawed. Not as bad as when BoP flew off his pushbike some years back, and went for a rebuild

4 Embarrassing, yet again, photo competition entered, won. Just gathering dust now on my trophies, as Ms BoPsie has too many to clean.

3 Jobs for the boys and girls. Well, job for me again this afternoon. Tap in en suite has blocked again, again. Just like an old disco record. Need the intelligence of the BoP and a turn of the spanners to sort it, ok!

2 nite guess what, thinks it shall be a cribbage nite. !5 for 5? Box of 19. Apparently I could not fathom out why my slippers, used to keep my toe nails curdled, were becoming a tadge tatty, Ms BoPsie found Raffles head lorn in one of them. Cheeky blighter.

    1 In it, or not

I have advised that the cricket team should fly home on Air France. When they reach Paris, they can walk.

    Afternoon

CCP - Really pleased your sister is coming out of hospital

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. No work so after making packed lunches and getting everyone out of the door had a morning of doing a few bits but not too much

    2. Theatre ticket was upgraded free of charge from cheapest to most expensive seat as show not fully booked and I was on my own could fit me into a spare single seat. Really enjoyed the two short plays as well as not my usual thing.
    http://www.theatreroyalwindsor.co.uk/details.php?id=216

    3. Free waitrose tea to take into the theatre with a little box of sweeties from home left over from Christmas

    4. Fakeaway chinese for dinner last night - mix of HM and shop bought. All very tasty and enjoyed by all plus did not cost very much money so very MSE. Should have been quite a lot left for today but DD was in hungry mode and demolished nearly everything in sight. How she stays a size 8 is beyond me, I thought it was boys who were supposed to have hollow legs not girls.

    5. Nice evening of my little family all being together and getting on well, just nice contended feeling

Hugs to all who need them

A quick five for me as I'm feeling quite ridiculously sleepy already:

    1) It snowed! ...for about two minutes before it turned back into rain, but at least I've now seen some of my favourite white stuff this year. :snow_grin

    2) The last slice of HM lemon cake came home from work with me, after it was threatened with the bin if no-one would claim it.

    3) Essay plan is all ready to go tomorrow - I attempted to make a start on it today once the plan was finished, but ground to a sleepy halt after one sentence. :o

    4) I was going to treat myself to a supermarket Chinese takeaway tonight, it being Chinese New Year 'n all, but when I started looking at prices I've realised it's actually more cost-effective to get a real takeaway from the place around the corner - it's a bit more expensive up-front but the portions are so enormous I'll end up with enough for three meals for around the same as the price for a supermarket one-portion meal.

    5) In the meantime I'm going to curl up with a book and listen to the wind and rain outside, safe in the knowledge I have no need to go out in it. :)

    Stay safe and dry, everyone!
Back after a very long break!

    Live Friday night scrabble.

BoP goes thirst, gets a Wobbleade and pays Fair. 14 up straight away.

BoPsie struggles with her tiles, mand BoP enters early lead. BoPsie ska,s down on the treble word with Riley. Shock lead. BoP Rack getsn him close. BoPsie opens up a treble and Axeddp hits home. 54 points to BoP.

BoPsie has gone under cover with Duvet, but BoP has Fun on the U.

BoPsie comes Judge, and lays open a treble. BoP blocks with Pun.

BoPsie lays the Q for 31. 20 in the lead. Offers best of three to BoP. So caring she is. But, yous all Nose. BoP Lays MIRAGES 79. Slender lead of 50 for BoP. 257 plays 203. BoPsie calls for the book of words, to check. Challenge no proved.

BoPsie lays the Z for It. But BoP gets 36 for OH. 304 plays 234. Clear blue water for BoP now, 2 tiles left in the bag.

In, PEELINGS on the Treble, 80 scored. BoPsie not happy as she offered best of three earlier. Game over. No, single tile gals from bag. BoP only an E to play. 383 260. BoP wins by a mile.

I now have to pour my own wobbleade. Good job I bought BoPsie some wine.

Oh nose, BoPsie still has a bishop in the house. Beer change, BoP has about finitum. And she wants to play on. Oh no. BoP fortunately has not ad enuff wobbleades to see the cheating BoPsie claim 26 for WHIM in the second round. Tight.

Blocked BoPsie in, she is trying hard, but I was only u short for numerous on two trebles. BoPsie still in the lead. Me, full of wobbleades. Reckon after my next go, have DECREES OR DECLARES. Think my BoPsie will be off to do the crumpets. As we ad th blank, creased was laid down. BoP leads by 9. BoPsie poored another wobbleade, Bishop 5.4% Hic Hic hic

WAVE. Treble for 30. TRIP next on another. BoPsie as ad enuff wine. Riles gone akimbo. Gosh, riles thinks me as ad too much wobbleades. Lead by 45.

Just laid Holy on the Treble. 54 more points. BoPsie is hanging back there. Could be a ...

Finally we are on the E's on the iPod player. Easy Rider. BoP still leads.

BoPsie has been oooofed from the bored, NEES a not a word. Gone. BoP in for a PAIR. BoPsie said best of Three. BoP wins 2 nil.
Check back for live updates, wobbleade pending!

bop - you play pirately, that's for sure. I'll [STRIKE]challenge[/STRIKE] wallop you one of these jours.:D
    #######
    1. Countdown visit, location edgy today, but improved. Troubling times in the so-called professions, contrary to gumment garbage. Mon Dieu this douchebaglot do so disgust me - and don't let me hear anyone bleating 'wassapoint,thayrallthesame'....no they're not, IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR VOTE.
It's next year. Stop deadmocracy by murdoch.
Ooh, that was a pleasure....even more so were it not necessary.

    2. Listening to Davis Cup. ccp, I think that's a splendid prize.

    3. 1st t-à-t is almost fully open.

    4. Apology letter received, professional body, complete with 'who's' for 'whose' Being paid how much, dear?

    5. Have had an idea, slim chance but poss.worth a try. Already had letter to deliver by hand to another professional, post-visit this evening, with kind thanks to a gentleman in car, of whom I asked whereabouts of address. 'Right here. I'm the cleaner. I'll put it on his desk. It'll be the first thing he sees.' Will broach subject at next mtg.

    6. 2p reverbe in middle of road as I went out; 5p reverbe on unlikely path post-visit.

Here's another rant: can you believe this? Felt complete horror when I saw this 1st thing:

Definitely need rugby catharsis @The Alma demain. Allez les Bleus, bop, [à propos de rien, I can't stand Dylan Hartley]. They might have a chance against the returning Albion Onze, kindly sponsored by you to redeem themselves in Paris.....:rotfl:

I trust Raffles has road-tested his w8rs rtc snork.
Would he care for a little venison next up?

bop - I'd be careful putting tootsies into slippers, were I you, esp in view of the Cats and their 'gifts' Thread. [Raffles does read everything on mse you know.]
Hope he didn't write this one:

'This reminded me of the time when my cat had brought in a large frog (unbeknown to us) and left it in our downstairs bathroom. My rather large bouncer ex boyfriend went for a wee, and the next thing I know, he's running screaming from the bathroom with his boxers round his ankles. The frog had hidden in a loo roll (which was on the edge of the bath) so when my ex picked it up, the frog leapt out at him! I've never laughed so much in all my life!

Both cats actually had a very bad habit of bringing their victims in through the cat flap and straight into the bathroom. I've wandered in to find wood pigeons (alive) in the bath staring at me, mice running around the kitchen, and a blackbird flying around the lounge!'

    Headache

    1. sold the last of the cat paraphernalia, funds to CP
    2. Friend v poorly this evening, went and got her some meds and sat for a while
    3. Booked the muttley into his new holiday home for one night next week, hope he behaves as I need to find him a new sitter for my occasional trips away
    4. Recently bereaved friend having probs paying her rent from Oz so did it for her. The agency then phoned her in the middle of her night to check it was kosher - she wasn't happy, told them they should be pleased they got their rent at all as she's not back til mid Feb. Pleased to be of help.
    5. Spent best part of the day with a v poorly DD who has a lupus flare. A pleasure to be there to support her, not a pleasure that co-prox has been withdrawn completely, even for those like her on an exemption list. Down to co-codamol which doesn't touch her pain, or pethedine which she has to go to the surgery for and makes her very sick. Reason for withdrawal - it could be addictive. So could aspirin, idiots!!! Hate to say this as they're usually so good, but NHS has been a bloody idiot over this

Pleasure today is my headache will go eventually.

    Sweet dreams :)
