So you know it's hot outside when your toilet seat is hot !!
Another hot day but a cooler 28o ahead tomorrow . A burny 42o today.

Had an excellent day at work....a nice feeling.
    Finished half hour early :)
A gaggle of teenage girls in the house....they make some noise!

Nice handyman came round to paint my dining room ceiling , he'd patched up a leaky hole in ceiling before Christmas ..we too had water coming in from the ceiling CCP, just probably not as much rain as you though!
He was only meant to paint the patch but ended up doing all the ceiling , nice and chatty but has left speckles of white paint on everything.

Free chicken and salad with tomatoes from the garden for dinner tonight. With strawberry ice cream for pudding.

Being fully refunded by blooming internet provider who had charged us a whole lot of money that was not right...cancellation fees, restart fees etc...OH sent a stonker of an email and all fully cleared.

That's about it...one more day to work this week and then some days off, should be starting full time soon so shall make the most of me time whilst I can.

    Have a lovely day :)

McCulloch - I really miss not being able to go the the markets in Darlington as now live in the south. There seems to be more local traders in the north east than here where it is all national chains. Now have a craving for the ginger parkin from the indoor market and a Taylor's pork pie (don't normally like pork pies but make an exception for these)
  • Toads! Off to the theatre we must go! Year of Thrift. Now no more of this Dr C. You lot should be caring for the hairy one. Wash and Kilts. No time to read, just a DfV summary. Tea and cakes, soup with body. Saturday storms. More cakes Chic Flics! Popcorn? Sparra guards her keybored, I will say it for you then. Scunthorpe! Haggis Hash. Gaggle of teenage girls. Market stalls.

Victory, Fish Fish, Fish (pm 4 dd). Thinking about Toads, BoPsie is on her MoT, so it will be like getting blood from a stone. At least her Frog turned out like an animal. Alledgely I was snoring like a trooper last night. Now if I was, I would had woken up. So, BoPsie, there, their, there

Oh well, was looking forward to some romance and … Good to find out early. BoP is on his his 26 years and 11 months day, and been together for 27 years, 11 months and 2 days. She will get out soon.

5 After yesterday’s success, it seems I am like the Dog, that licks bolls! I nose, bit cryptu for yous lot. But the sun does shine, and is now booked for Easter and 3rd March, cos as mentioned above, it is Jenny’s second Birthday as well as our Wedding anniversary. Jenny interrupted the Silver events.

4 Tonight, we are snoggling up to the radio to hear stories of Fish, Fish, Fish. DD, we are wagghing for the Cambridge and soon it will be the Hatters tale that will be snapped off. Here we go.

3 Just checked, that jenny has been running for 704 days, 20 hours and 55 minutes. Tick, there she goes again. :heartpuls :heartpuls

2 Still got the teeth into the bit today, so I will have to carry on snarling about the woods. nNot that I am picking on any of you lot though. Just that I am missing my claw sandwiches this week. No Claw draw that it. Gios I rabbit on nonsensical bits do I not. So this week I am on the same as Raffles, Salmon.

1 The tap no longer flows! Well, gues as the tap no longer flows, I am sinking that I will has to get a replacement

Oh, and yous educationalists amongst yous. Thinks I has the grammer to become an Headmaster? My applications are in.

    Busy today!

    Pleasures:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons had good days at school.

    3) Went to Pilates.

    4) Betty at Pilates invited me back to her house for a cup of tea so I did that and talked about the floods.

    5) Signed up to the Mental Health Awareness (or, rather, Shrewsbury college phoned to get things started).

    6) Ordered the bathroom tiles!

    7) Took stuff to charity shops and found just the books I was looking for! Another in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series for smaller son and an Anthony Horowitz for bigger son.

    8) New laptop cable arrived!! Amazed at PCWorld as I only went in yesterday.

    9) Pork roll from village butchers for lunch.

    10) Looking forward to Holby City.

This is a strange request but.... son's autism unit needs a new teacher for maternity cover and they're all shocked at the lack of response they're getting! So I am asking around if anyone knows a teacher with lots of SEN experience who might like to be in charge of a unit of 6 children (although nearly all are in their mainstream classes a lot of the time). I've got a link to the advert which I can send as a pm to anyone curious.

ccp - hope Isis didn't hear you writing '...minus the cat food, which I forgot and will have to buy later in the week.'

Don't worry, Isis, we're not out of cat food completely - there's enough for tonight so you won't starve! ;)

    1) NSD.

    2) Took a packed lunch to work, which is something I am trying (not entirely successfully :o) to get back into the habit of doing.

    3) Booked a day off on Monday to give me extra time to work on my essay, which means I don't need to do so tonight.

    4) A more-than-slightly embarrassing one, but a true pleasure - I have a large and unpleasant spot right where an item of clothing has been pressing on it all day. Pleasure is getting home and removing the item of clothing - such a relief! :o:o:o [NB - I am still wearing all items needed to be decent, so no smart alec comments please, BoP! ;)]

    5) Changed the bed and added my newly bought, soft, fluffy pillows - I'm looking forward to bed tonight!
Back after a very long break!
  • 1.I have a long to do list not a bad thing as I am a list person and it has ticks all over it:D
2.Because of the list we er have ordered in, but we have gone for a size down from the usual.:D
3.We have switched diets to calorie counting rather than low fat as we just were not enjoying it and it’s working better for us, I have lost weight calorie controlled many years ago now and it worked then so here goes again.
4.I’m not so impressed with pilates, it’s ok but I guess I thought I would love it and while it’s ok I will do the course it’s not something I will advance.
    5. Feeling a bit more positive and less fragile, thank you for all of the hugs.:o
    6. Just put all fresh bedding on.
