Has the waves blown over. Was touched that the wicked witch from the north, moved to be with her son near Aberystwyth. Step Mother, not I hear the plead of poverty again, not. Big Sis and nieces just have one name, cow pat. Cradles the trouser snake that forgot. And then abandoned her late husband to a stone, unkempt behind the goal.
All washed up this very morning. Victorious after another Scrabble event at the castle of pirates.
5 More work, work, work. I hear some media outlets are calling this Blue Monday. !!!!!!. Just fed up with their enterments! No worry, tomorrow is terrible Tuesday.
4 Lots of sentiments about the Great War. My granddad, who lost a brother, point was that if it was not for the US Army, the spring offensive by the Germans in 1918, would had won the war for them. The Americans came in and won it. My other granddad was spat at, as his father had come from Prussia some years earlier. He went back after the second war, to find no trace of his family!
3 Back to wark, back to claw sandwiches. And we know what is in them do we not!

The shop was closed so i was able to work in peace, an indescribable pleasure. Given that customers stop me all the time grrr lol.
2.Another pleasure gained from working so much was that i had less time to sit and munch goodies so have only gained 6ib since start of october yay me!:A
3.One massive pleasure is that i am able to start this new year in a far better position than last year.
My debts are right down, everything is paid ontime. No worrying about answering the phone or the front door.
Might even consider a holiday woo hoo.

Going to try for an early night tonight (never happens!) so will write today's pleasures now:
1) An undisturbed sleep but so short! Shan't enjoy the early starts again.
2) Bigger son off to school with homework done.
3) Smaller son (has an INSET day) and I stopped off in the town where bigger son goes to school. River high but no flood defences yet. Had a cooked breakfast in a caf! overlooking the river.
4) Quick dash to charity shops as I needed some trousers to wear to pilates tomorrow. (Can't see jeans quite cutting it!) There they were, waiting for me, in a sensible colour. Glanced at the tops and jumpers rail on my way out and now have a very light grey, angora jumper from White Stuff as well!
5) A signal for smaller son's railway arrived in the post so we wired that up and he was pleased with it. Also played on the Wii a bit.
6) Brother picked us up and we went swimming. He also took my Christmas tree away with him to replant it in his wood.
7) Just got the house tidy, cleaned the bathroom and made some mince pies to use up the last of the jar of mincemeat.
8) Nice evening planned. Think we're going to have hot chocolate and watch James May's Toy Stories - the episode about the motorbike made of meccano - sitting in my bed.0 -
Good evening all !
ampersand- ooooh are these the pictures that you bought at auction that you thought were a bit special ?? Shame ,as you were so close to my hovel in sussex and you would be most welcome here. You would need your Pukeko wellies on though :rotfl:

5 for today
1. Work ok- especially as thicko here had included St. Patricks Day on my annual leave card:o Still means I have more holiday than I thought to take before the end of March . 55.5 hours to be precise
2.Meeting with Training Dept went well . I need them to deliver some bespoke training to a company I work with . Agreed in principle.
3. No fox!! although the tiny one did chase something and was baying like a fox hound . She must be a bit confused about her identity.
4. Piri piri prawns and rice for tea made with an old marinade that I added some passata to in order to thin it out a bit . This will blow OH's socks off as its quite spicy.:rotfl:rtc prawns and piri piri . using up stuff from the cupboard that keeps on giving ..
5. Frozen the home made gravy left over from yesterdays roast in an ice cube tray.Great for future risottos , soup bases and YUM pies etc
Have a good evening all:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Bagpuss: Loving your pleasures 3 and 4, we just got back off some time away and there are no more demand letters, it’s a lovely feeling, and this site has been an amazing help keeping me on track when I would have liked to veer off but now we are in a much better position. It was harder than I would have ever have thought but MSE has been so useful and supportive.;)
Firth: That is a great episode very funny, we found ourselves talking at him:rotfl:, would love to hear how the pilates goes, as it really interests me but there’s nowhere local at the moment that does it, and where does is a private health clinic so pricey.:)
Chicken: Glad the first day back was ok, and some great leave days still to take.:j
1.Mammoth amounts of washing cycling around and around
2.Did a little gardening, I was amazed to see plants trying to bud and flower?!!! Still I planted our crocus’ in memory of our passed on animals.:)
3.Did some planting out the front but lost momentum and ended up washing a window that looked decidedly bad with vinegar better than it was but I didn’t do a great job.:o:o
4. Popped out to pick up a missed parcel and popped to Lidl as it's on the way back and stocked right up on fruit and veggies, slowly swapping over to a lot more vegtables etc, both DH and I feel inspired, don’t need any meat etc as the freezers are heaving.:T
5. Filled in police vetting paperwork for the emergency responder volunteer thingy. Which lead to a 2 bin bag full of paperwork clear out to be able to find ahem important paperwork! I need to do a lot more work and kick the office into shape.
6. Just ordered a work cardigan online in a sale.:D0 -

Make money for Xmas challenge 2014 £0/£2700 -
1) Sympathy from office colleagues reassuring me that, despite what my LL seems to be implying, I'm not being unreasonable in wanting water to stop coming through my ceiling. (The latest gem from him is that he did get my messages, despite previously claiming he didn't, but that his chosen roofing company is so busy that he doesn't know when they might get round to contacting me.)
2) A very quiet day at work, so I spent some time on g00gle maps working out my route to my interview tomorrow, as last time I went that way I got quite badly lost.I think I know where I went wrong now (or, more to the point, where I went left!), although I still plan to leave very early to make sure I'm not late if it goes wrong again!
3) Then entered a few more competitions, mostly for something to do!
4) Finally finished my disliked book last night, and I've now started on the Bill Bryson one, which is much better.
5) I didn't sleep well last night thanks to the constant, irritating dripping noise, so I think I'll have no problems tonight despite the interview tomorrow. (Which I'm not actually nervous about, tbh - I've got too much else to worry about at the moment for a mere interview to even get a look in!)Back after a very long break!0
