1. Spent 4 hours on the poxy train trying to get to work, turned around and worked from home. Claimed my railticket back online, but I am not looking forward to having to try again tomorrow.:(
2. I have re written my cv uploaded it out there, and while I got great feedback neither role is right, due to things not written in their original adverts.
3. Did a very lazy BOGOF happy hour take away, very very lazy
4.Printed off a few vouchers in preparation for shopping tomorrow.:)
5. Feeling a bit lazy sitting here doing naff all other than looking on the puter with a cuppa.0 -
This the one! this is the one!

Just heard on r4.
C'mon bop and ccp, choose quickly...as for your friend's dog. Multi-£000's for eating birds' grapes??? Sounds ridiculous - what's the full story?
1. Glad I found way to Church prayer evening. Concerns for a number of things and peeps offered in that quiet good place, with the heartbeat of very ancient clock audible, steady, comforting.
2. 2 lovely lamb chops[very rtc w8rs bien sûr],own matoes, courgettes, garlic.
3. Again appreciating warm water from tap and heat helping laundry dry. Another 3/4 of clothesline to clear yet.
4. Back to optician early tmrw. I am always grateful to them for spotting a major scare several years ago. I was lucky; NHS laser fixed it. Must then start Spits-ing, discovering what I'll have forgotten is in the car, bought in France.
5. Rang M, whose b'day was also my maman's [12/10] and left birthday bits from France. Quick catch-up chat. More shed trailering in the offing. Hairy fun, not so far this time.
Could feel the drench of yesterday entering me throughout day and knowing it wasn't good. Feeling it now, so bed, books, radio is luscious prospect.

Five pleasures for Monday -
1. Looking forward to posting here again.
2. Getting lots of washing aired outdoors in between the rain.
3. Deciding that the time had come to buy a Rotaire cover for the washing line. So I did. The amount of sports kit I have to wash is ridiculous and I'm hoping that this will extend the drying season somewhat and stop me having to put on the heating.
4. Lovely cheese and herb omelette for supper. There's not a lot growing in the garden right now (small amounts of beetroot, spinach and chard really) so I enjoyed picking herbs.
5. My slippers which would have been stupidly expensive had I paid full price for them at the start of the year, which I didn't. I adore them and they keep my feet meltingly warm on our flagstone floors.
Sweet dreams everyone

Oooh BoP, I am honoured, I've cut the mustard twice!
Frith - grrrrrrrrrr and more to your stupid exSuch a shame he chooses to behave like an idiot 99% of the time. I agree with my esteemed chums, pass him on to your solicitor if you can xx

Thank you for thinking of us, Ampersand.
Kittikins - glad your first day went well. What year are you teaching or do you go in various classes?
Dundeedoll- I can't remember now which poster also goes geocaching but smaller son's travel bug is in Budapest! Bigger son also has one, as has brother in law, but smaller son's is thousands of miles more travelled than theirs.
Pleasures for today:
1) Managed to keep out of the continuous rain.
2) Sons had a good day at school. No one was nasty about bigger son's hair cut, to his relief.
3) Popped to Sainsburys.
4) House fairly tidy.
5) Bigger son finished his enormous amount of science homework.
6) Steadily ploughing through Harry Potter (bedtime story). Almost half way through the last book, it has taken me years to read the series!
7) Had tea at mum and dad's.
8) Booked an appointment to have a will drawn up (in will month). Hopefully nothing will happen to me before 27th November.
As for the ex husband, sons were returned at 6.30 prompt and nothing was said. I expect a solicitor's letter from him tomorrow or Wednesday for my insubordination. The matter isn't settled yet because now smaller son has told me he only wants to go for 2 days at half term, rather than half of the holiday and he also won't go for a week at Christmas....0 -
Frith - ((Abominable ex hugs)) been there...now both my children, all by their own minds, know what their fathers are...and its a pregnant goldfish I think! And I never said anything nasty EVER!
DFV - good choice on the TPMy favourite too! DD loves Soul Music! And the Tiffany Achings make me cry (its the shepherds hut that stands empty..like the one in out yard)

4. scrubbed the stairs with st@rdrops, the front edges in particular were looking very grubby
5. the plastic hanger holding my junk jewellery broke - chaos in the wardrobe . Spent a couple of hours sorting out the wanted/unwanted and hung them onto a wooden hanger. Much neater now and there's a bag for car booting.
