  • SPARRA That will be a weight off the back with a new mattress then!
DFV Banana in lumpy custard. days of yaw yaw yaw. Mum BoP used to have a knickerbocker glory and as brats, we had to alwys wait for her to finish!

Just when you thought it was safe to go downstairs and sneak a bar of chocolate, the cat leaps out from under your feet and licks your foot. Guess tiger is alright, but there was no chocolate to be found.

4 Again yesterday, we had to go on count back to win at Scrabble. Fortunately Ms Whack kept a blank tile back, so I got a whopping 40 points difference for that. Nearly won by a street. Tonight is a big game, so listen out DD. The fish are about to swim down the river Cam.

1 If it is a chore to do the dishes, you could always use paper plates

3 Just booking our hols for November. So it is party time and loads of wobbleades a go-go. Penzance here we come. See, BoP keeps it local. Do not forget, if you go abroad. Take no more cash than £5. There, that is the fivers to rights as well. No doubt SPARRA will remember the member for Huyton and his pocket money talk.

5 Swimming against the tide this morning, I note the queue was a little shorter than normal, so would had lost my money on it being 2.2 miles, according to the sat nav. Then found the reason why, a car had broken down and they were queuing to get past. Total queue length a record 3.6 miles. Now, I should really get my window down and wave to them every morn.

2 go. Got home last night to find an e-snail from a company I applied to some years back have no positions. Well, hopefully their Human [STRIKE]Resource[/STRIKE] remains work quicker in the future!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    1) The bug I've caught seems set to be no more than a fairly minor case of the sniffles, I'm very pleased to say.

    2) Picked up a big pack of sausages RTC: they're only supermarket own-brand (albeit good quality ones) but still good value for £3.

    3) Managed to confirm that a previous offer of free tickets to an event later in the year is going to be honoured - all we've got to do now is sort out which date we can go on. :j

    4) Drove along the seafront just as the lights were coming on. They look pretty cheap and tacky by daylight, but are very pretty when they're lit.

    5) Picked a small box full of nicely red tomatoes although, on the negative side, it looks like I won't be getting any green tomato chutney this year after all. :undecided
Back after a very long break!

Hugs to all the poorlies. Get well soon.

I have been lurking but struggling to find pleasures this past week, was unwell, I made the mistake of working through it and it ended up a bit of work then sleep is all I have done for the past numerous days.
    1. Worked from home during the day today, even at home it annoyed me.
    2. Applied for another job that has come up.
    3. Please keep your fingers crossed, we have found a caravan but because of the distance from us it we can’t get to it for 2 days, I am hoping it doesn’t sell between now then. I would really like this one it’s a bit different.
    4. Just had a lovely stew again.

    mmmmm artichokes :)

    1. Fabulous science lesson :)

    2. Amazingly short journey - got to uni the earliest ever (for me!). Wasn't alone in the 24-hour party/computer room though!! Us PGCErs are so darned eager?!

    3. Did some research and planning for my big assessment - but still don't know what I'm going to base my critique on. Ho hum...I'm sure in a day or so I'll work it out!

    4. Enjoyed my yummy salad, although someone sat on MY bench! Outrageous....his outfit clashed with the lavender as well! Tsk, tsk!

    5. Watched Bake Off for the first time since the first episode :)

    6. At DD's request, sang her a medley of our tunes and lullabies tonight.......and lots of cuddles xxxxxxx

    7. Feeling very proud of her as she got her award for full marks 4 weeks in a row at spelling :) What a clever kitten she is

    8. My parents went out on a random shopping trip and I have been given new laundry bags. Joy ;) My unmentionables are to go in there and hopefully not get confused with me mother's!! I won't hold my breath....we pad up and down the corridor between rooms swapping clothing that has made its way back to the wrong place after washing.....

    9. Another day of wearing sandals - I hate shoes, wish I lived somewhere I could wear sandals all year round.

    10. Chatted to some chums on FB whilst doing some 'research'.

    11. Looking forward to an easy day tomorrow - will still probably go in at normal time, but my first lecture is at 11am, so it's allowed me to have a slightly easier night tonight :)

    12. I've just started reading "The reason I jump" x

Kittikins- I enjoyed The Reason I Jump when it was on radio 4.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) A bit of a lie in.

    2) All survived the dentist unscathed.

    3) Had our traditional cooked breakfast that we always have in a little caf! after seeing the dentist!

    4) Son happy at school though bigger son has a detention for not having his shirt tucked in. :-/

    5) Swept up outside and did a bit of weeding.

    6) Popped down to mum and dad's to put one of the old mattresses on their bonfire spot and ended up helping brother pick the cooking apples. Brought about 30 home and they are now stewed and in the freezer.

    7) Sons both finished all homework.

    8) Enjoyed watching Holby just now and am about to take my hwb up and watch Wrong Mans.

    Shall post some early pleasures

'twas my day off....just as well as I'd of slept in! Woke at 6.30 am with a start then realised I was off.

Phoned my OH...he was out with one of my friends for a coffee, called my other friend , not in, called my sister and everyone was there, niece and nephew so had a chat with them, called my friend who was in now, chatted to her for ages( as we do) and OH sent me a message....are you still on the phone? Yes! Called him and the called my mum...by this time 2 girls had gone to school, 2 loads of washing done , it was 9.45 am, I was still in my jammies! Then DD1 sent a text , could I drop something of at school for her?

So quick shower, washings out and jumped into car. Stopped at school and then went to supermarket to get a phone top up ( as well as other bits and bobs....but I do like a mooch round a quiet supermarket when I'm not in a rush)

Back home....washing in....hello sun and wind you dried my washing in less than an hour! Shopping away ( though did phone DS from car, can you help me bring the shopping in? ....no! No? I'm on the train! So managed it in myself.

Read some of my book....nearly finished .

Had a snooze....woken up by a child coming home from school!

Have a friend coming over tonight, so need to Hoover and wash floors and that's about all! Did think of doing it earlier ( before reading book and falling asleep) but reckoned their would be crumbs from dinner! Going to make crusty bread pizzas with left over bolognese sauce topped with cheese and melted under grill.

    Have a lovely day:)
