Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

I didn't have a good afternoon at work today - I suffered a nasty work-related injury and our health and safety officer advised me to go home to recover from the trauma, but my manager refused to let me leave.

Oh, OK - the 'injury' was a cut so small it stopped bleeding within 30 seconds and was reported only in the hope that a genuine, if minor, injury might prompt senior staff to agree that the piece of equipment is past its best and needs to be replaced, and the 'advice' was based on the sunshine outside rather than any actual trauma! :rotfl:

    1) Bread and peanut butter for breakfast - not exactly a low cal option (not with the amount of peanut butter I like to use, at least!) but very tasty.

    2) Took part in an interesting research project, for which I will receive £5 payment.

    3) Got home to find that the milk I need for tonight's dinner is still a block of ice :( but that means I can change my plan and have the sausages I really fancy instead. ;)

Umm...... OK, I'm really struggling now. I'll keep two for another day, if you don't mind!
Back after a very long break!

    1. Sunshine :)

    2. Treated myself to a hot choc and croissant in Pret this morning as I thought I was running late until I got into the centre of Oxford far earlier than I needed to!

    3. Found my phone charger so time-related activities will be better accommodated now!

    4. Changed some addresses for banks, pensions, phone etc etc.

    5. Ordered myself a watch molto cheapo on Amazon.

    6. Ordered yet another book for my course......

    7. Found that lots of the suggested children's books are available in local libraries so will use my mum's account to reserve them ;) (she gets it free :) )

    8. Came home to a BIG HUG from DD and yummy dinner on the table.

    9. Have a day off (sadly unpaid) tomorrow for a religious festival celebrated by my temp office, but hey, it's a day off!

I've looked at this thread before, but I've never joined in yet, but it's rather a nice way of reflecting on the day, so if I may, I'll join in....... But I might not always have five !

    1) coffee with DH in M&S, using vouchers.

    2) DH trying on jacket in M&S, then me buying exactly the same jacket from eBay for £10 less

    3) a dress I've ordered from eBay arrived, for my holiday. It's a Phase Eight dress and it was a snip, when you consider what it costs in the shops.

    4) several glasses of lemon squash. I won a bottle of lemon squash last week, and I'd forgotten how refreshing it is.

5). Downloaded a free Kindle book.

I think I might do this more often, it's rather good fun!

What a lovely first post, goldiegirl, right in the spirit. It's not a treadmill, so come whenever.

    1. Au lit in a minute, up for Spits@0230h-ish.

    2. Vintage rail and about 18 boxes in storage.

    3. Poor packing/stock choice for demain, but feeling a bit So What?ish.

    4. Found passport[make that eleventy-five OS pleasures - am deeply needy of having it to hand at all times. Essential Cabin Fever constant.]

    5. Posted sth - might be told off.

    6. Supper was cod cooked simply in butter, lemon, with zapped h-g courgette & runner beans picked a minute beforehand alongside. I kept the flower, to egg/crumb/pan fry with fish. A cross wasp shot out of hot pan! - straight out window fortunately.

bop - when I'm next here, you'll be treading out your last day in current pit.
I've sent them a valedictory to read out, concerning your largely peerless service in matters yellow thing since late June. We've all signed the card. Look out for ccp's and sparrer's fulsome messages.
We've all clubbed together to buy you a mini-rant Season ticket. Sorry, the bbc with Added Social Worker version costs too much these days.
    Bonne nuit!
