Braticus Primera will be called Victoria.

At the same time, others will not be so fortunate.

Resign, Resign, Resign, not handed it in yet. Bit unusual to hath pleasures being away.

    Hugs to all.

Funny name for a boy, though I am rather fond of it myself ;)
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    1. Tried out pastry-free quiche in the Remoska - worked a treat! Saved on heating up the oven :)

    2. Even more strawberries today - although they are coming to an end I think.

    3. Friends popped in for a cuppa.

    4. Being adored by the dog.

    5. Shortbread biscuits - yum!

Hope the call goes the right way Chicken x

How odd, I thought I posted earlier but maybe not......it's been one of those days.......

    1. I treated myself and a few colleagues to much-needed ice lollies at lunchtime. School was too hot and busy and horrible :( but the lollies were pure fruit and deeeelish :)

    2. My paddling pool was very welcoming :)

    3. Another day of the washing drying before I even realise it! :)

    4. Made far too much for dinner, so gave the rest to my lovely friend G and her children - she was hard at work cleaning her school this afternoon, so hopefully this helped!

    5. Made not Eton, but 'my village' mess for pud - YS double cream (gave the rest to G, so as to save me from myself!), banana and meringue. Nomnomnom.

    6. Stressful day at work, but only a day and a half to go!!

    7. My babysitter for Wednesday has cancelled on me, but luckily DD is going to have a sleepover instead now, so I'm saving £15 and DD gets to have lots of fun :)

    8. Popped into a charity shop on the way to get the lollies and picked up a lovely top -I know, I know, my work wardrobe was supposed to be finished, but this one is gorgeous and was sooooooo cheap!

Aw Chicken, what is it with employers these days:mad:, hope he can move onwards to somewhere better if need be.
Ampersand: Liked your quiet minds, peaceful hearts comment:), I am certainly ready to pick the good luck job baton from McHags et al please.:)
In my search for a new role I saw one that had me in stiches that management people like this still write / think like this “ we need a “4 "E's" individual - Energetic, Energizing others, Edge to make decisions, Execute decisions” yeah – move on.

It was a journey from hell home both trains delayed, ah well the pleasure is I’m home the work day is over.
Had a choccy magnum when I got in – delicious.
Just too hot to contemplate food. It will be a late leftover food, mash and pork with no crackling left (Skint) I don’t think I could ever say no to proper crackling, I would have to just not cook it to diet.:o:o
Ah stuff it, I quite like the whole Kates had a baby thing, congrats to her, thou I somehow don’t think she will be on MSE.
We went to Mr T, spent out £5 off 40, bought some proper price chicken for the animals, but everything for us was RTC.:rotfl:There's some serious food planning that needs to happen:D

Just planted my Victoria rhubarb near my Victoria plum, that's as close as we're going to get to a girlie name this time around
chicken it certainly is an Audrey, huge estate big enough to get his wheelchair in, and almost everything else including the kitchen sink! Hoping all works out for your OH
CCP it must be the sea air that made you wear a cardi, it's been stifling here but they're forecasting some wet stuff tomorrow :(

    1. npd
    2. Would have been a nsd but I booked the flights and hotel for Malta in November
    3. In the garden this morning, for the first time since the yellow thing appeared I was 'glowing'
    4. Hg raspberries in a milkshake this evening. Delish!
    5. Relieved the Royal baby is born, now we don't have to listen to the reporters inane rambling about 'we can't say how long it will be before the announcement is made' and 'the notice will go up to say whether it's a boy or girl, which will tell us the sex of the baby when it's born'. They don't deserve the job, should have given it to me because I can spout nonsense sometimes - or often if it's for money ;)

    Sweet dreams :)
  • Thunder storms forecast for tonight  Hope they clear the air

My favourite silly questions asked by a journalist today: "Does labour start at night?" and "Can you wake up and find you're in labour?" No, you decide when it starts!!

    Pleasures for today.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Smaller son off to school happily, esp considering bigger son is on holiday!

    3) Bigger son and I took stuff to the tip.

    4) Also went to M and S to get some nice biscuits as a thank you to smaller son's school. Smaller son much to embarrassed to take them in to school so we posted them!

    5) Had lunch at mum and dad's then a few games of Scrabble.

    6) Solicitor phoned re: smaller son's statement (final, FINAL deadline for everything is Wednesday......)

    7) School transport phoned to say statemented children (well, he is NEARLY statemented!) get free transport and what sort would I like?! Mind you, the swift and great service fell apart when he said "Can your son walk in, you live in X town, don't you?" I pointed out that X town is indeed part of my address, but if he was to look at the VILLAGE NAME he would see we are 11 miles away!

    8) Had a chat with Ebay man (have bought "new" work surfaces for my kitchen-to-be) and he didn't want me trying to get it in a Renault so is bringing it here for me on Saturday on his roof rack!

    9) Smaller son had made lovely flapjacks at school.

    10) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    11) 2 rolls of thunder (I love thunderstorms) and on facebook all my friends locally are describing how much rain they are having. People 15 miles north and 18 miles east are having loads - we've had nothing yet!

    12) Looking forward to ISIHAC.

    13) Friend's baby (with emphysema) does NOT have epilepsy, so that is one less thing for him to deal with.

Just switched over to a random channel, how much mileage are they getting over an 8lb 6oz birth?

    Random collection:
    1. Not a single item of wet washing in the house for a few weeks now.
    2. Not having particularly noisy neighbours, given everyone else's experiences.
    3. Trike has been more or less behaving, gears do their own thing periodically.
    4. Some good bargains in sales, just little things.
    5. Friend gifted me some Body Shop shower gel and some L'Oreal face cream.
    6. Have various ice lollies in freezer.
    7. Looking forward to meeting the new puppy of my daughter's. Still haven't heard his official name yet.
    8. Go on short break in just over a month.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
