Hello , almost bedtime. It is a wild , wild night here having been a very nice day. I sat outside on my very late lunch break and enjoyed the gentle warmth of sun and watched a kookaburra. Then the sky got so dark, then the rain came and then when I was out and about for work on came the thunder and lightning!! Walking back to car park out came the double rainbow! Then the wind started howling and the rain came back on....so a typical Melbourne day and four seasons in one day!
Crazy day at work, new girl went home sick and nobody in to cover her....we worked our socks off....however only 4 to go!
Tenants of our uk home not renewing their lease but new people interested so keeping fingers crossed for that.
I made white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies.
Poor DD2 is poorly with a gastric bug.....in between bouts she has tidied out her old toy boxes. We are hoping to do a carboot sale in a couple of weeks (or a suitcase sale I think they are calling it) so she has sorted out some things to sell.....think barbies, dolls stuff and games.
Watched Holby....first half this morning and rest this afternoon.
Hope sparrershot date goes well !
Enjoy your sunshine0 -

1) Felt rather unwell during the night and when I woke up this morning but, after a shower, I felt better enough to go to work (actually - is that a pleasure?
).
2) Watching everyone in their academic gowns on their way to their graduation ceremonies. This is a great time to be in the city if you like people-watching.
3) Both sets of HG beans (French and borlotti) are starting to flower.
4) Another couple of dahlias are starting to show colour on their first flowers, although it's annoying to find I got them the wrong way round when planting them so I have a red one and a pink one together rather than the two pink ones.
5) Easy dinner tonight thanks to some YS items in M&$ - if you get your timing right you can get some good stuff quite cheap. :money:Back after a very long break!0 -
Good evening all !
Skintos - I don't blame you - no equipment no workeee! Sorry cat people- I have lots of netting over everything as the little bleeders sh*t on everything. We call it Operation Cat Poo and it works!
Bizzylizzy - lovely post
Sparrer- TB night?
5 for today
1. Work ok ,but had to tell colleague to put a sock in it as she didn't stop talking about a subject that she had gone over and over and over with me and every other individual team member this week.
2. Terrier took me to the park
3. Made OH pie , mash and peas for tea. Very summery :rotfl:
4. Orky Poo the bald jackdaw is getting quite tame. I do feel for it with that bald head in the sunIt lives a few doors away and comes down from the roof each time we are in the garden for digestive biscuits.
5. Day off tomorrow !:T
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1. Super sunshine
2. I filled up the paddling pool, sat in it and read a great book for a couple of hours after school! DD was invited to join me but she had had enough sun, and so stayed indoors, no doubt watching CBBC.....
3. She impressed me by deciding, when joining the library's summer reading scheme, that she wouldn't use the 3 books she had just returned as half of the scheme's requirements, but would start fresh from today. She'll have both of them read by next Thursday, I'm sure! (She reads nearly as fast as me, and I'm super-speedy!!)
4. The roadworks that had been annoying everyone in the village this week were gone by the time I came back home, hoorah!
5. DD's topic book from school is brilliant, I've learned so much and can now see how she earned her gold certificate
6. I've hopefully arranged a lift to my school's summer party tomorrow night, yay! It's not far and I could drive, but on the other hand, I could enjoy a nice glass of wine.0
