Plus I have had enough of men in white coats :rotfl:
No pleasures as away from Ms Thwack. The sun caught her out this day and she is toasted again.0 -
I'm new on this forum and have searched everywhere for where I feel right posting, so I hope! I've found the right little corner for this. I love the debt free section of the site and their ideas and moneymaking/saving but feel an imposter as a saver, I also don't feel quite right in the saving area as it doesn't seem to have that buzz! So, hope this is the right area for me
My pleasure today was my partner meeting me at the park on the way home and surprising me with a little picnic for dinner. Cheaper then going out and very sweet.
I decided last week to make my own homemade filofax rather then buy one. I'm sewing it together tonight, and just realised the added bonus of being able to make my own designed insertsgoes to make a saving chart and colour in squares as I go along.
I'm only a week or so into saving and already over splurged buying some shoes on a whim. I've decided to return them though and pretty proud of that.Saving since 2005 --> September '13: 37,800! Mortgage deposit saved!0 -

Busy day today. I am now 38!
Here are my pleasures:
1) Bigger son had made some bunting and put it up in the living room. Both sons had made me a card.
2) My present came in the post (to myself). I now have a waterproof cover for the ipod so I can take underwater pictures and sons can do their stop motion filming in the swimming pool!
3) Went to Ludlow and had a look round the charity shops. Got a good book for sons and had lunch at the Olive Branch. Got talking to possibly the poshest lady in Britain who was very pleasant but I kept smiling at her accent!
4) Watched Wimbledon but didn't see mum and brother. Enjoyed the Laura Robson match.
5) Went to dad's for tea (and my sister too) and we all had an Indian takeaway then birthday cake.
6) My school friend came round and hasn't long gone. Had some lovely present today including some solar lanterns (already in the garden), a garlic crusher and my brother has made a trellis that he will put up for me some time this week (he's still on the train home from London as I type).
7) We now all have the same cold so I am in bed and might watch Holby City.0 -
If I remember correctly, happy birthday to CCP tomorrow!0
