Hopefully today I will
sit in my conservatory with my new library book and a large pot of coffee and relax.I have a new chair out there that I bought last week from Ikea and my son-in-law put together for me and with a couple of cushions I intend to do absolutely nothing this morning .
The carpet can go un-vacuumed
the dishes can remain unwashed
the furniture can sit unpolished
and the phone will go to answerphone,do I give a fig No I don't I am going to please myself for once. This is my plan at the moment but who knows I may get a burst of guilt/energy and it could change:):)

Five for the last few days;
1. Busy, busy, busy packing. The pleasure is that I've reached the point where it's done and I'm ready to go. So excited now...1 more sleep until we get the keys.
2. Surprise house warming present from my grandparents, think they're more excited than we are.
3. Bathing Ian the dog so he smells pretty for the new house. Love bathing Ian, he is so funny.
4. Party with friends tonight.
5. Buying my first home with my amazing partner. Never thought it would happen. Anticipated being unloved for all eternity. Can't wait to start the next phase of life and sooo excited about having a large kitchen and vegetable patch to cook and grow. Going to have the opportunity to be super old style :j
Not sure how long we will be without internet whilst we move so the next set of pleasures will be coming to you from my lovely new, country OS home! :TComper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -
Evening all.
mms - if you're still around - hope all goes well, and I look forward to reading your first post from your new home.
JackieO - hope you got your lazy day as planned.
1) Another fine, warm day illuminated by the lovely yellow stuff.
2) A work one, although I haven't yet decided whether it's a pleasure or not: my head of department was discussing what will happen to his workload after he retires next month, and I mentioned, more than half-jokingly, that I could probably take over one area as I've done the admin for it for so long. I'm not sure whether to be pleased or terrified that he agreed, quite seriously - it will look great on my CV, and be very interesting, but there will be serious consequences if I get it wrong (law courts, institution's name in the papers, 'important lessons to be learned' kind of consequences ).
3) Found some more RTC aquilegias - these ones are the same variety that I was admiring in my DPs' garden last weekend.
4) In what seems to be becoming a 5OSP theme, my borlotti beans have started sprouting, and I've got my first (still very tiny, very green) strawberry of the year.
5) Pub quiz tonight, and I'm planning on walking there the long way round, along by the sea, as it's such a lovely evening.Back after a very long break!0 -

2. Visited one of dad's friends and he was on the beaches in Normandy 60 odd years ago, told me stories,...made me cry when he said he still remembers the fallen, but it was a good sad
3. Discovery of lovely leggy 'tan' that in fact stops where my silly ankle socks stop...most blue feet, also much pinkness in cleavage area, which as they live close togther has made an amusing V that points at my face:D I am an idiot!
4. Pumpkin planting...only 120 odd but an achievement nonetheless:)
5. Drove tractor cos OH was at a sale, even reversed it...singing along with mp3, (I don't like driving it scares my pants off!)

Mind you, I can talk, sitting here in my new nightie, it's soo comfy, I've already walked up the drive in it to close the car windows - such I shame I can't live in it...
GOOD LUCK WITH THE MOVE TOMORROW MISS MONEYSAVE xx
JackieO - I really hope you had a fabulous chill out in your new chair. I've read so many of your posts where you put most of us to shame with your busy, happy, OS life (well, me for sure!), and so its great to hope that you've had a day all to yourself x
1. Sunshine
2. Going to go to bed for cuddles with DD in a mo - we're both feeling a bit under the weather tonight, not sure if I'm starting hay fever (had it for the first time ever last year but haven't got the stinging eyes, just a horrible hot/cold fevery feeling, coughing and my bones aching). DD's not much better, so we won't make each other worse at least!
3. After Student Finance cancelled my application last night, I managed to speak to someone who helped me through getting log on details for my previous incarnation when I took out a loan when they first started during my final year of my degree. What a palaver! But at least the person on the phone was friendly and helpful - and apparently as I'm a parent, my application will be dealt with "swiftly" by a different team.......
4. Called Uni and they promise that they've posted out my pre-course reading/work list - fingers crossed it turns up tomorrow.
5. A lovely friend popped over for a natter
6. Scrummy freezer surprise for dinner, nomnom.
7. Hoorah, tomorrow is Friday!0 -
Good luck with the move missmoneysave x

Evening
MMS - Good luck with the move tomorrow, such a lovely post
Pleasures for today.
1. Liberated some chocolate cake and Orange Juice left over from a meeting at work. It would have just gone to waste so happy to give it a home.
2. Hug off lovely friend who has come back off maternity leave, she only had 3 months off as money was tight for them but is loving being a mum and is doing right by her little family.
3. Lots of washing dried on the line
4. Sat out in the sunshine to eat my lunch but did manage to get a splinter in an ufortunate place off the picnic bench at work. No way was I asking the first aider to remove it for me
5. Wore my red shoes to work today, they make me smile (Ampersand, they are IC:D)
6. Got to sit in the garden for an hour this evening and read my book.
Hugs to all who need them0
