Oh kk what a shame for you and your potential buyers. We have a very different system here in scottieland. Sealed bids by 12 noon on a set day then it's all legally binding for the 'winner'. Having been through both systems here certainly gets rid of broken chains but goodness it's nerve wracking, and can be expensive if you dont win the bid
vjsmum i wanted to call ds sebastian purely cos of the song but we went for summat else in the end (no, not tit willow!) Ritz is my fave CR song
    bop hic
    1) i is oot of quarantine and got the all clear anyway
    2) was good to be back in work but bf off with man flu so had lunch on my lonesome
    3) oh put central stand on her guzzi. A lot of huffing and puffing but now done. I was on wasp duty. Solitary wasp building nest in the garage. Flew in small hole in roof (must fix!), did bit on nest then flew out front door. My job was to say when the wasp was leaving her nest - oh is terrified of wasps.
    4) when guzzi done i waited till wasp had once more left and knocked the nest down. Felt a total meany when poor wasp came back looking for her handiwork
    5) but oh thinks me's a hero :-:A
    and dd1 got a 2:1. Well done her :T and well done lfs :T :T :T

So sorry Kittikins, hope something/someone else comes along asap :)
LFS congratulations, what a wonderful feeling :D
    DD you're such a hero ;)
Whoa, slow down PK. They're telling me to, I'll set them onto you next! ;)

    Dog biscuit 'recipe'
Save all your old bits of peel, leaves, veg & salad stuff etc (not onion skin) in a tub in the freezer, add to it daily til tub is full
Buy a tray of pigs liver (65/70p) and whoosh it with the defrosted veg. I use a stick blender but make sure the bowl is deep or you'll be covered in the stuff, as I found out the first time I did it!
Add a good slug of olive oil, say 1/2 cup
Add garlic - 5/6 crushed cloves or a tablespoon of garlic powder
    Add 3 large eggs
Whoosh again til all blended together.
Add flour (I use basics), mix with a wooden spoon til very stiff.
Oil a roasting tin put mixture in and spread evenly
Put in a preheated oven about 175c for an hour. Take out and mark into 1" squares with a pizza wheel or knife. Put back in and cook for a further 1 1/2 to 2 hours until hard. Turn oven off and leave in oven until cold, or overnight. Break into squares and freeze. Keeps in the fridge for about 4/5 days.

    Sweet dreams :)

Zero'd straight onto word 'slug' in your post, sparrer....
chicken - I'd LOVE to have chickens here in UK,my girls were in prev. French life. Here, peripatetic life means no go, but neighbour's 2 girls' singing is pleasure and echo.
lovefullshelves - SO well done you! That is wonderful, wonderful news - you will feel different at every point in your life from now on. It will be a recurring thought of 'YES!' for you, right through those 6000 plantings. Warmest congratulations.
Had sudden mental pic of your Dad's friend and my NZ Uncle, both 89, great lives and characters, enjoying each other's company.
kittikins - I'm pinning hopes on tutu couple finding another buyer. Why not investigate bop's path?
    ##########
    1. M11 madness of rampaging cars and hgv's exceeding 80 mph in heavy rain all the way to Spits. It's daylight all the way now - even pre-0400h. Glad I was wearing oilskin for sitting out in it, awaiting gates opening@8. In fact, they opened just before quarter to! Unknown. We were caught on the hop.

    2. Reasonable day with modest banking to look forward to. Some lovely people, but one nasty piece of work, occ. helper on another stall I learnt. No idea why he chose to be looming, aggressive, obstreperous, shouty[lost sale because of him, as buyer understandably moved away], finger-pointing in face, but he was removed by quick bushfire telegraph. Apparently, word had gone out that he'd come to 'help' x today. Has 'problems' and isn't always sans laisse....

    3. Scent of rained-on honeysuckle as I came through gate after 1 this morning.

    4. Packing up went better than last week, plus 2 sales during[always a lovely little extra bonus feeling] En route stop was more of a pre-en route one yesterday, having learnt of a better way to avoid A12 slip road closure. Headed right, rather than usual left, and almost at once into a big Mr T carpark. Noted their London petrol is 5p per litre cheaper than Fen country. To be noted, still have a '10p off' voucher in reserve. As usual, green tea then instant succumb. Woke over 2 hours later.

    5. Wish I could have succeeded in some Stade de France madness for demain soir, but will now find way to a next best of some kind. There is no indoor Spits next week either, but a reduced outside affair. Happens annually I hear, but many demur. Prob. moi aussi - petrol cost beholden to meteo vagaries is not sensible. Reports from old hands of 'wind funnel outside' not good either.

pk - A year or 2 ago[24 June, I think] I gardened through the night. I was doing fence down back onto farm, planting, all sorts. It was wonderful. Beautiful moonrise/sunrise. Sounds of night, small creatures, distant calls, Where the Wild Things Are in real time. Have pics and memories.

Well, have a feeling of day waiting to take its own shape. Tea and munch both need re-zap, untouched since I began this.

Just had very sad news - a friend's nephew died suddenly. I am trying to work out how old he would have been - i shall always remember him as the bubbly 11 year old so proud of his new wee sister, but that was maybe 12 years ago? Gosh time passes
    On a happier note
    1) one day symposium - met up with colleagues i've not seen for a while
    2) free lunch
    3) reverbed 5p
    4) butchers still open (just) when we walked home so yummy steak pie for supper
    5) went to garage and no sign of wasp so hopefully she has found another garage to build a nest in
