CCP sorry to hear about you health issues.
kittikins - wow good news !
none yesterday as lost the diamond out of my engagement ring . Not happy - yes it cost more than a decent horse, and can be replaced but it's the sentiment and all thatFeel naked without it as I have the ring which looks like an empty eye socket !
Today WILL be better !
still like reading your posts.
Oh chicken, what a bummerThat happened to me once as I was walking along a road near work. I knew there was no way I would find it on the road so just resigned myself to its loss. Eventually I put my hand in my pocket - and there it was :T I had to have it set in a new ring as it would have cost more to set it into the original one. I realise this story will do nothhing to make you feel better - sorry
But I do know how you feel.
No media on here today either - but I don't have anything red.
BoP - :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Evening,
Kittikins - great news, keeping everything crossed for you
Chicken - (((Hugs)))
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Packed lunches and Breakfasts all round again
2. which led to a NSD
3. Nice chat with mum on the phone, they enjoyed having DD for the week. DM has her appointment for the skin cancer specialist confirmed for next week and thank goodness it is at their local hospital and they don't have to travel to Durham. We kind of know the results already this is just a confirmation but hoping they can treat it quickly and without too much surgery etc.
4. Last of DD's washing from last week done and dried on the line, all ready to be put away.
5. Yummy dinner with enough left over for a couple of freezer portions.
Hugs to all who need them0 -

(((Hugs))) Chicken, so sorry to hear your sad news. Will keep everything x'ed that it turns up, not for the £value but because it's so valuable to you.

5.Terrier waiting for me when I got home
6.Assessment emailed well before cut off date, a nice tea waiting for me of macaroni and cauli cheese and quorn burgers -weird mix but I like it.
7. Oooh and I swerved the biscuit and doughnut tin/bags at work:T
Have a good evening all:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all.
Chicken - I'm so sorry to hear about your diamond - what a horrible thing to happen.
Kittikins - that's great news - fingers crossed for you.
ampersand - have a great time in France (not that you need telling, I'm sure).
1) Saw the GP today and she was much less dramatic than the nurse, simply confirming the recommendation to rest and adding a course of antibiotics. She didn't seem to be terribly impressed by the consultant's work, and wouldn't oppose my request to go to a different hospital next time if it's needed (although I hope it won't be): I'm almost glad I went there this time, though, as it's given me a good story to tell - it's not exactly normal for a doctor to recommend a religious conversion as a possible form of pain relief. (I'm not kidding - he was trying to persuade me of the merits of Buddhism just before chopping me up! :rotfl:)
2) Received the SO candles I ordered last week, so I put away the spicy-scented candle I've been burning for the past few weeks and replaced it with something more spring-like.
3) Took advantage of the time at home to start reading a classic novel I've meant to read for years (a Jane Austen one) and it's actually pretty good - and free, thanks to my kindle. :money:
4) Cooking up the plums I rescued at the work event last week, although the pears turned out to be rotten and had to be thrown away.
5) My little pet willow warbler is back in the garden, which I hope means it's got a nest somewhere nearby.Back after a very long break!0 -
POET T day tomorrow. Not reallllly, got to be debugged and reprogrammed. Thinking if Jenny gets a booooost mode, I will put Ben Johnson to shame. Bolt, runaway.
Chick. Stay the course. Jenny gis a :heartpuls
No other pleasures as away from Ms Flac0 -
Kittkins fantastic news, everything crossed for you.
Chicken: ah no big hugs, It made me look at mine to check it out.
BOP: Hope the re programming goes well.
1. Left work a little bit early to..
2. Pick up the main car – not the other one, and it’s nowhere near as posh as it sounds,:rotfl: which sailed through it’s MOT, which is great but then I had to go online and buy the tax for the year, a bit of an ouchy spend month considering the below as well.
3. Ordered a few bits for wedding anniv and DH’s birthday immediately after, and I am chuffed that I hope I have got the gifts spot on this year, I have to give them a lot of thought to get it right I'm not a natural romantic.:o
4. Place is a bit of a mess, I have piles of paper and clothes to sort out but they will be there tomorrow:o
5. Thinking about working from home tomorrow:D
6. Keeping in the CBA theme ordering in tonight and I do feel a little bit guilty as it is pure laziness.:cool:0 -
Hope the sparkler turns up
Hope you're having a good time in la belle France, Ampersand
1. Another NSD
2. A friend has expressed an interest in buying my house without an estate agent....not getting my hopes up too much, but who knows.....!
3. OH might be obtaining me a second-hand ipad for my birthday next weekend! Having played on a friend's I rather like them, but would never buy one!
4. OH took us out for dinner, nomnom. DD loved her food so much, she could have eaten it twice over!

6. A friend has invited us over for dinner and wine soon0 -
Evening
Pleasures for today,
1. Lunch with lovely friend H and her beautiful baby, she is so cute and lovely. Food was nice as well
2. Pleasant day in the office as one of the managers who has been causing an atmosphere is out for the rest of the week. Even our boss was relieved.
3. Free large packet of posh crisps form Waitr0se, thanks to their free weekend paper
4. Bumping into a friend and her DD who has been very ill with an eating disorder is very much on the mend. Plus has finally got her divorce sorted and she is looking so much happier and less stressed.
5. Lots of laughter and happiness in the house tonight
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Evening all
Kittikins - what a shame to have to sell your lovely house. Good luck with the interview.
PK - I have been in the same situation - having to buy things for OH's birthday tomorrow. I'm not romantic either, neither is he and he wouldn't bother with his birthday at all if it wasn't for the kids.
Chicken - birds twittering at 4.30 am is not a pleasure
Todays
1. OH took DD in for early drama, so I had a lazy bath
2. Got through some of the marking, but a loooooong way to go
3. My yellow roses which I got from Ald! last week look lovely in their jug in the window
4. Got OH is burfdee pressies - before today he had a train book from DS that OH chose and bought himself; a hairy dieters book from DD and some second hand paperbacks from me. I'd bought him a BBQ / pizza oven / Chimenea for the garden but we both know that really it's a present for meSo a trip to TKmaximus later and he has a paella pan and mix (OH is the outdoor paella chef in the caravan, so now he can cook it indoors); some socks and a tie (of course) and some posh foreign beer glasses with some posh foreign beer. Oh and a card with an old couple in bed and she's saying "I know you're excited, but the sooner you get to sleep, the sooner it will be bin day" :rotfl: Oh and I have defrosted a victoria sponge that I will decorate tomorrow
5. Laundry dried on the line - as in completely dry. Doesn't even need the airing cupboard.
Work tomorrow, but only 3 more teaching sessions left :TI wanna be in the room where it happens0
