Poor you CCP, hope you have good drugs and an opportunity to REST that poor footsie x

I had a similar situation with my dodgy leg which has been permanently set incorrectly (probably causing a lot of my problems) and a subsequent consultant was furious on my behalf, recommending I sued the NHS for incompetence (which I wouldn't do)........then realised that the original surgeon was his boss, and backtracked completely, lol.

Well, I was feeling all perky and lively but my get up and go has just gone and I'm miserable again, yawn. So, I shall remember the good things of today and hopefully feel fabulous by the time I finish typing them here!

    1. SUNSHINE :):)

    2. First day back at school, INSET day and so was able to get more done as fewer teachers around. That felt good, so tomorrow I should continue in the same way.

    3. Lunch provided at school.

    4. Lovely texts from chums.

    5. DD was invited to a friend's house for tea, so I was able to call tax credits (yuk) and mooch about.

    6. Carpet people have suggested a much cheaper alternative, am going to check the colour tomorrow and then order it, gulp. They reckon they can get it done by the end of the month, double gulp.

    7. YS bits at the supermarket and I was good and didn't buy lots because they were there, just a loaf of bread (since when does bread come in 750g rather than 800g packs?!???!!) and a few bits.

    8. Good natter to a friend at the school gates.

    9. A bungalow has come up for sale in the next town - shame it's £50k over budget and needs a bit of work doing to it.....maybe I could bargain them down if I sell my place quickly enough. Need to check out the area though, the town isn't quite as salubrious as my village.

    10. Posted off 2 sales and was pleased that the postage wasn't hideously expensive, after hearing that the RM have put their prices up again.

    11. Cuddles with DD, she woke up very happily and refreshed this morning and told me how much she loves her bedroom now its all painted and gorgeous :)

    12. We played card and board games this evening when she got back from her friend's house.

Going to hunker down in my bed and watch a film, maybe that'll shift the fug!

kittikins - re: your 7, I'd say it dropped about the same time that 100g jars of coffee suddenly magicked down to 95. Noticed this a few months back and now check all sorts of things pretty scrupulously for The Then vs The Now.
ccp - please let us hope you can be pain-free, and soon, this time. How about a bit of great British Sewing Bee for previous surgeon[only because I just did a catch-up watch of one]
Well done Lady Whack for censoring bop and letting him 'win'@le Scrabble[we know your real game plan]

    1. There was some sun, but it was windy and cold all day too. Rugged up snugly, prepped the red metal tables, chairs and some other bits. Found the big airport meccano to take.
    2. Listening to Dr Syn on r4X, which I love and thought of when I ended up down on Romney Marsh the other w/e.
    3. Coffee waiting at bedside.
    4. New books ditto.
    5. npd/nsd.
    6. Found all sorts of things which had looked definitely dead, showing sprouts of life. Solomon's Seal's on its way back up.
    7. Rather like sparrer and her cancelled bedding/curtains aberration a few months back, I had a similar Pure radio moment at end of last week. All cancelled today and refunds done before anything was en route. I'm just going to call it another 'too long a winter' symptom played out and over now - no harm done. Much better, and cheaper, to be crossing channel Wednesday matin 0230h and seeing the sun rise from a different shore.

I'm boringly off to bed and looking forward to this. Bonne nuit all.

    Good evening all !

CCP - fingers crossed that the treatment is a success this time x Forgot to say , I hope you got your parking space back for you new VW!

    5 for today

    1. Lovely weather

    2. Work has a seriously odd vibe going on at the moment "picked up" also by a few of my colleagues- not a nice place to be at he moment , this prompted my No. 3.

3.Took some flexi I had accrued so left at 2pm and took the tiny terrier to the park in the glorious sunshine . Terrier after a bit of encouragement, reluctantly got in to the £3 cage that we got from the tip for the car - it was minus its door latch so this has been rectified with a meat skewer which fits it perfectly !:rotfl:

4.Brother and FN's ;) came round to see Mum (next door). I don't see them much so this was nice.FN starting college in Sept. wants to be a teacher - will scoop her up on way home from work as I pass the college on way to and from work.I can't miss her waiting at the bus stop as she is well over 6ft !

    5. Almost finished assignment -taking much longer to handwrite stuff than I thought.

Off to bed - have a good evening all !

    Still writing from phone...

CCP - I was telling my mum about your foot this morning. Mum has referred herself back to the podiatrist. Her foot operation last year wasn't a complete success.

    Horrible news tonight about Boston.

Here are my pleasures for today.

    1. Not a bad sleep.

    2. Made lots of phone calls, admin, letters etc.

    3. Builder phoned and will start tomorrow!

    4. Popped to see brother who has nearly finished his staircase.

    5. Psych nurse outreach lady came to see me.

    6. Went to town and got a story tape for sons. They listened to the first side in bed tonight.

    7. Had a tasty veg crumble for tea.

    8. Smaller son had a good day at school. I mentioned a series of books he might like and they've bought them over Easter!!

    Morning

CCP - Hope your foot gets sorted quickly and correctly this time

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. DD thought she had lost her Oyster card and Young Persons Railcard but thankfully found them on a grass verge. She is so dizzy some times.
    2. Packed lunches and breakfasts for all.
    3. Low spend day - DD needed some hairbands so managed to get some in the £shop for her as well as some of her favourite cereal bars.
    4. Made one of DD's favourite dinners of roast gammon. SO gammon with roast potatoes, veg and Y.Puddings followed by bakewell tart. I'm suprised she had room for the bakewell tart as ate two dinners, how she stays a size 8 I will never know.
    5. £6 in luncheon vouchers in the post from surverys, thought this was going to go into paypal but I prefer the vouchers.:money:

Hugs to all who need them

Evening all, and thanks very much for your good wishes. Sadly things aren't looking good - I can only hope that my DM is right and the nurse I saw this morning was over-dramatising and things aren't as bad as she seemed to think. Not surprisingly I'm feeling a bit :( at the moment - I just want this to be over. :(

    1) A nice lie-in this morning.

    2) Toasted HM bread and jam for breakfast - always yum. :)

    3) Nurse advice to take the rest of the week off work, which means my annual appraisal will have to be postponed. Darn it. ;)

    4) Chatting to my DM on the phone.

    5) Finding that my freezer is once again so full that I can't squeeze another thing into it: a pleasure because it means I won't have to go shopping any time soon, although it's also a nuisance as I've been trying and failing to empty the freezer for nearly a year now. :o

Frith - I hope your mum's appointment with the podiatrist goes better than mine did, and everything's fixed soon.

Kittikins - LOL at your poor consultant - what a situation to put himself in! :rotfl:
Back after a very long break!

Is her birthday as well today. She us 21 again.
CCP. Health comes first, work has to wait.

When the chicks squabble all around, wait until the seagull is airborne. While those are loosing their heads, seagull gathers the truth.

I suppose the collecting tins are now for a differing cause today.

No pleasures as away from Ms Whax.

    1. Nice walk to office from station with colleague
    2. Good teaching session until a student read something in a book which contradicted what I had just told them - hmm, the book cant be wrong can it? a bit of detective work told me book IS wrong and i is right :T
3 Nice walk with OH in the early evening across the fields
    4. Went to see my friendly neighbourhood butcher who always seems pleased to see me - they really know how to keep customers and the meat is always delish
