DD, I sent the forms to your Uni addy. I love Belfast, do enjoy your time there.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Missed posting yesterday as there were probs at meeting with a newbie, so sad and makes me so grateful for where I am today. Anyway, didn't get in til late then was on phone duty overnight and today I feel quite drained after a couple of calls. Funny how just once in a while a call can affect you, other times you feel almost hardened to it all.
So today the sun is shining, the windows are all open, the wm is doing its work (lovely when you just have to put the clothes in, press a button and they all come out clean. Remember the way your Mum/Granny had to do it? Makes me exhausted just thinking about it, so I don't often think about it!)
The ironing board is up, I'm thinking - but again not too hard - about ironing the valance sheet that's sitting on it. If/when I feel like it, it's there ready, if not it looks like I'm busy to any visitors...
I have a list of things which need doing, the furbies need grooming, the nets need washing, the car is in a disgusting state inside and out, but then I remembered it's still only February. So I'll do them in March.Meanwhile I'll do as I'm told (thank you kettle) and sit here with my feet up.
Thinking of all the poorlies/well, stressed/laid-back, sad/happy (that covers just about everyone!) keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Presuming Big G* knows what I'm on about when I mention (name) of 5OS, that is
Back later with my 5. I have a feeling they'll all be to do with a snooze day
*Just a thought - I hope He's good at conundrums :rotfl:0 -
Good evening all !
Sparrer -Re your overnight duty . I think it shows that you care when things still get to you tbh . It shows you can still "feel " I think:)
5 for today
1. Work ok and it's £day
2. OH got a nice surprise from one of his old closed bank accounts . He had apparently put his card in the hole in the wall years ago and didn't take the cash . £50 plus £8 "good will gesture" . Not to be sniffed at.
3. OH had the tiny terrier for the day- he took her to a local park , off the lead and she was as good as gold . Mum's previous dog went nuts when she saw another dog - not in a good way, which worried me as she could and had pulled Mum over easily .She is sparko now
4. Took and hours flexi so home by 3.15pm
5 Day off tomorrowSkintos
Have a lovely evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1. Making tea and toast for breakfast to take to work
2. Leaving the heating off a bit more, it's very hard as its so cold and our bills are so high
3. Making my packed lunch. It's a bit similar each day but at least it's saving the pennies
4. Picking up some bargains at a charity shop
5. Enjoying lovely books courtesy of the libraryDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks

Five are:-
1. Cleaned house through and had the windows open for an hour to let some nice fresh air in.
2. Stripped the bed and had two loads of washing on which got put out on the line in this lovely sunshine. By 3pm it was pretty much all dry and brought in.
3. Decluttering has made such a big difference to this place as everywhere is so neat and tidy. I can open a cupboard and it has order and I can find anything. It wasn't messy before but now there is so much space!
4. Sun has shone today so that always cheers me up.
5. Walked over the fields today and looked at the tight buds on the trees ready to come into leaf. Gosh they are tightly wrapped those buds but they will be ready to burst in the next couple of weeks. It makes me so look forward to Spring when I see that on the trees!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

1. Celebrating our anniversary of living in our 'forever home' (fingers crossed!) - we had apple juice in wine glasses
2. Work was busy, busy, busy, but at least it's another day closer to the weekend and I still managed to have fun and smile
3. DD's coming to my bible study group tonight, but will hopefully be in her jimjams snoozing somewhere (and then shhhh, but she can sleep in my bed when we get back)
4. Helped a friend who helps me a lot by picking her daughter up from school/
5. Took out some more great books from the library.
6. School was nice and warm, so glad I can make use of their heating rather than my own, another reason to be happy to have a job0 -
1) Several more of my RTC daffs had opened when I got up this morning, so I've got a vase full of yellow.
2) Working from home again, and I got quite a lot done, although not what I had actually intended to do today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!
3) A little girl giggling at my cat and hers singing a duet in the vet's waiting room.
4) I was warned by the vet nurse that mog might not have any appetite after his treatment, but he was actually so hungry he fell in his water bowl in his efforts to get to the food bowl more quickly. :rotfl:
5) Staying at home in the warm tonight rather than going out in the cold to get to the pub quiz - my foot's still quite painful and I need to keep an eye on mog anyway, so I'll give the quiz a miss just this once.Back after a very long break!0 -
