2. Got a good apg/cashback shop :money:
3. Had my homemade veggie soup for tea
4. Kids went to street dancing. 1.5 hours for £1 each

Congratulations Master McCulloch on your new job
Hello all, I'm a very happy Kittikins tonight.....
1. After a year of waiting/getting lots of work done/ deliberating/f**tar*ing around, I finally have a KITCHEN
2. The floor people came and put the lovely floor in today, then....
3. G and her children came over and between us all, we got the table into the kitchen and out of the lounge (yay) and ditto the fridge (double yay, a fridge does not belong in there!!).
4. Ocadao delivery driver has just turned up nice and early after a very polite phone call to ask me if I'd like my shopping now rather than in an hour or so's time (booked a free delivery slot of course!!)Yay!!
5. First day back at work was great, blooming busy though, but I do feel nice and refreshed after my half term break:)
6. Am in the process of arranging a decorating party chez moi
next weekend
7. Also in the process of arranging to go away this weekend with DD
8. We even have flowers on our kitchen table - I put a big bunch in our shopping order, DD will be pleasantly surprised when we sit up for breakfast in the morning
9. Finished fabulous book and have started a slightly less fabulous but still not too shabby book - thank goodness we still have some good libraries, I just wish they opened longer and had even more books, I hate the way libraries are being cut down, grrr......0 -
Hugs to all who need them
Well done to your DS mcculloch, great news. Thank you for the bio info, looking forward to seeing someresults
chicken you made me laugh saying you have a turkey neck, sounds like your DNA is even more confused than last week!
DD thanks for the trolley tip. I used to shop in Lidl but the nearest is now 10 miles away, which is a shame as I loved one or two things I could only get in there.
mhags, re the article, it just goes to show that no matter how much we envy sunshine, space etc, the grass isn't always greener elsewhere. I still regret not going to Beijing when I had the opportunity but now with copd I wouldn't last more than a few months there!
1. Managed to sort out last night's mess and put my comp back into order.
2. Went for an mot at surgery this morning, not at all happy and really quite surprised with the results of BP. Now I have to wait a week for the results of blood tests, enough to put the BP up even higher! The 'pleasure' being it's a free service and it's good to know the NHS offers these check-up's to older people on a regular basis.
3. My lounge and kitchen look like a florists shop
4. Mutters is asleep on the sofa beside me, puttering away contentedly after a dinner of his favourite (horse?) meat and scraps of chook
5. Penguin In The Huddle.
Sweet dreams0 -
Well done, young MrMcC.
Here are my pleasures for today.
1) Not a bad sleep. But not long enough!
2) Sons away to school happily.
3) Lady came round to visit me who has to take over where my psych nurse finishes (Thursday, eek!)
4) Took small cat to the vet and big Barry and they were weighed and de-flead and wormed. Barry was so surprised to be there he leapt 10 feet off the table onto the vet's window sill! He was allowed to stay there a bit looking at the swans on the river (we realised he had never seen a river before!) and a lady walked past and waved to him!
5) Just read a big chunk of Harry Potter to sons.
6) FINALLY got round to ordering a new knob for my cooker door (the inside glass door, not the big metal one). It broke off 12 years ago and I have been jabbing it open with a fork since then. Couldn't believe a new one is £2.09 - why didn't I get one before?!
7) Looking forward to Just a Minute and hwbs in bed shortly.
8) Also looking forward to getting my hair cut first thing tomorrow (at college). It is now Terry Wogan c1978 style. :-S0 -
Mcculloch, congratulations to your son on being offered a new job. :T
MMS, it isn't sad at all. It is actually very refreshing to read that you love your work.
Okay then, my 5 for today...
1. Collected my parcel, it is indeed crafty bits n pieces. Have made a few embellishments this evening while watching Poirot on DVD.
2. Moved the wormery. i put it back to almost where it had been originally. It does much better against the external lounge wall. There are lots of worms still, which means that so far, the snow and freezing temps seems not to have had too much of a detrimental effect.
3. Today has been NSD number 17. Only one more to go until i reach my goal of 18 for this month.
4. A couple of my tiny tomato plants are getting their true leaves through :j
5. Have turned the heating off for the night and am thankful for the hwb that is mow keeping my tootsies warm.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140 -
Once again faffing around too late on here...

- Possible new work venue might be just a phone call away...
- Got paid for most of the rest of the hideous job, yay! In time to put in an ISA before April,, yay again

CCP - good luck with your appointment x
PK - no crashing and burning . Please take it easy x
Master Mcculloch  well done and now you can pay yer Mum some more rent( this was most definately the case with my Mum)
Sparrer - yep confused DNA alright- I blame my brian (instead of brain- it sounds better) injury. I like the cheapo oil as its light as almond oil tightens the skin and it doesn't leave an oil slick in the bath . Don't want to break my neck (again) transferring in and out if I can help it;)
Frith/Wogan :rotfl:
Have a good day all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Darn it, Uni2 don't want to even interview me for teacher training. Time for a major rethink....:(0
