DundeeDoll.....big, warm and sunny hugs winging their way to you.
Sometimes life's a bit pants isn't it? But you will get there , you will discover a resourcefulness from within and you will cope.
We are all here to listen to the pleasures and the not so pleasures.
1.hmmmmmm.....work was not a pleasure, colleague still off and understaffed, manager feeling unwell and stressed,I did not get a break and worked for 9 hours.....anyway the pleasure was walking out and seeing lovely parrots and ducklings on way back to car. Sun was shining but not too warm.
2. There is a bookshop on campus that offers a members discount but you have to pay to join,I wouldn't spend enough to make it worthwhile but they had an item on display that I thought would be ideal for OHs Christmas....one of the girls at work is a member so we went in together after work and I gave her the money and she got it for me .Saved $11.
3.nice chit chat over dinner with kids.
4.DS had another exam....he was actually in his bed really early last night.
Only 2 more to go next week.
5.watched Downton last night....is that the series finished?
Hopefully enough is enough.one of DD2's bullies got hauled over the coals today by year head and then head teacher ,we may find out more tomorrow .
Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.0 -
DD likewise, I say do it. It was the best thing I ever did, security-wise, it safeguarded me from ex's cc's, bills etc., not that I thought he might take advantage but it was peace of mind which is priceless. Everything must be organised sooner rather than later, before disagreements start.
Frith hope you're feeling better
Kittikins love your #6 - clever girl
Broomstick pleased to hear the water is abating, may it continue to do so til it reaches a safe level
1. not a lot to report for yesterday, had a lazy day which was very enjoyable
2. did a bit of clearing out of sideboard drawers, now have one empty. I wonder how long for?
3. spent a happy couple of hours sorting photographs on the lappy and got them all in their respective folders
3. the leek and potato soup was quite nice with a touch of chilli and some crispy fried bacon bits, there's enough for several meals so I have no choice but to like it!
4. DNeighbour and I went to the local college hair and beauty salon's open evening, got our nails done for £2 donation to breast cancer charity, had lots of tasty nibbles made by the cookery students, were given masses of money off coupons (even college does them!) and a bag of free samples. It was a super evening and a real eye opener to what is on offer there. They also do pamper days with two treatments, lunch and hair dressing included so will treat DD to one soon.
5. Got to the second half of a meeting with friends, was only there 3/4 hour but came out laughing so much I was almost in tears. Love my friends
The sun is shining so I'm going out to clean the patio and sweep more leaves - a seemingly never ending task. Have a sunny day whatever the weather0 -
DD - Hugs to you and I agree with Kittikins wise words. You have got to do what is best for you now.0

Evening
Frith - Hope you are feeling better today
Pleasures for today,
1. Friend took me out to lunch today to favourite noodle bar even if we didn't have noodles. Had Duck wrap and pork dumplings with iced lemon tea so yummy. Also I got the loyalty stamps so enough for a free wrap next time :j
2. Encouraging some people at work to fill in the form for charity matched funding. The form only takes a few minutes and can get you upto an extra £150 for your charity. Can never understand why people don't fill it in.
3. Drinks order for new coffee machine arrived today which made me sort out the cupboard of doom in the kitchen to make space for it all. Found some baking powder with BBE 94:o oops.
4. Cheats chicken and gammon pie for dinner as was in a rush. The cheat is I used ready made pastry as pants at pastry and it only had the top to the pie no bottom and sides as DD likes to remind me. Did write Yum on it though VJsmum as I now know this is the law:D.
5. Another NSD, hoping for a few more
Hugs to all who need them
