Caterina try this, but do not tell Ms Sonny as recipe is guarded by trademarks and copyright. But keep it to yourself.
Half and half, fish to spuds. Mine was 1lb each.
Peel spuds, boil and mash with milk, butter, pepper and parsley, from herb buck, cus that be money saving.
Steam fish in kettle.
Deskin fish, fork into mash.
For bread crumbs, three or four slices hovis grannery bread, toasted lightly.
Grab three bowls, one of plain flour, one with egg, tother with breadcrumbs.
Wet hands in water, pucker up fish cake mix into a ball, dust with pepper flour, wash with egg, coat with breadcrumbs.
Makes ten, ish, or six man size ones.
Cook at 480F. 180 in new money, for 15 mins, twenty from frozen in preheated oven.
Serve with mushy peas, not the Harry r versions, but can of wait and rose marrow fat, put on when cakes go under. Boil vigoursly. Fork into pulp, add water as required. Serve with copious amount of wobbleade.
Enjoy.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

PK - ouch ! £40 !
a few for today
1. Site visit which means I am out of the office:D
2. Site visit proved very interesting , minor concerns .Although I am unsure if the manager is terrified of me ,or wants to kill me . My job has that effect on some people, still its what I am paid to do.
3. Finished on time .. although skipped lunch
4. Day off tomorrow
5. Signed up to the B&* thing where you get 20/% off this weekend - need bark chippings and lining paper.
Have a good evening all!:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
5 for today so far (Thursday, hoorah!)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son went on an outward bound type course designed as a get to know you for all the year 7s.
3) Smaller son back at school after exclusion and behaved well.
4) Filled in grant aid form to try and get some money towards bigger son's incredibly expensive bus pass.
5) Went to the pub for lunch with mum, dad and brother.
6) Had a meeting with the headteacher and ed psych about smaller son. They still want him in a special school for a while to get him geared up to coping with high school.
7) Sister came round with some goodies from Holland.0 -
Evening all
Thanks for the good wishes for DD
Chicken - is your bark worse than your bite?
Sonny - I am sure many will thank you for the recipe - I can't stand fishcakes. All cake and too little fish for me.
For today - not in order
1. Thank goodness for homecooking and being OS and prepping and freezers so that I can come in from work at 7.30 and have a homecooked meal by 7.35. Aubergine pasta bake, since you ask
2. DD has gone to drama (ye - es, I know I said she couldn't) we figured that if she didn't go she could start saying she wasn't going to school tomorrow. THe deal is if it's drama tonight then it's school tomorrow
3. Went to a year 12 parents meeting at DDs school. Managed to grab a chat with a 6th form teaching assistant. She has told me to tell DD to go see her tomorrow and they will put "stuff" in place to help her over this difficult time :T
4. Went to work this PM as we all need to be taught about our new electronic attendance monitoring system. Pointless but fun meeting!
5. Had a soak in the bath this morning. First one for yonks - involved a face pack and a leg shave. Feel much better for it all.
Have a good evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thank you Sonny! Will do after I get well!
Thank you Chickenopolis! Trying my best! xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

VJsmum I'm sorry to hear about the holiday, I'm sure if you keep looking you'll find something - you are the holiday planner extraordinaire, after all
. Re fishcakes I'm in agreement, a waste of good fish imho but appreciate some like them.
Skint yes I saw it, and the photos on line. I feel so, so sorry for anyone caught in that situation, I can't imagine it and am thankful we're okay here although we're built on a flood plain.
Caterina get well now. Mind you sitting in bed and spoon feeding yourself peanut butter sound a delicious pastime
1. Woke to a glorious morning
2. Line dried the laundry. These days are becoming few and far between so it's a great pleasure to still be able to do so
3. Postie brought my new EHIC, yet again gratitude for the NHS
4. There was a good shower when I had my siesta this afternoon, came just at the right time but I feel almost guilty for being pleased of it when so many are suffering with horrendous floods
5. Moved the lamps around so I now have lighting behind me, and have put candles on every surface - a practice run pre-Winter. It's saving the big light which has 5 bulbs, is fine to see to type, and makes the room feel really cosy. Hopefully the candles will also help provide a little heat when it gets really cold
Sleep tight0 -
Hugs to those to ill to get up and others.
5 Same start as yestday. Sit down, shave and shower. Then the sting of aftershave.
4 Must check out the gas and elect prices to make sure I am on best deal, did that with Internet and phones earlier this year and saved up a packet. Any penny saved will be liquidated.:beer::beer:
3 Just ate it when at the end of the corn flake packet, you always has the crunched ones. I will in future open packet the other end, that way I will get them first. Next week it is the sheet type biscuits, with side poured milk and topped with oranges.
2 Stove has festered chilli, ten day old with skin for tea. Last nite had the curried chicken wings, watching Dr Who. The wings were excellent, but Dr Who. For me carp. Why does the Bbc insist that its programmes have to multi blend into every other programme. I do not want to see your news or any other stupid programme in the said serial. Please make it fit into its own identity and not a continuim of every other programme.
