1. having a de clutter. And realising how little "stuff" of any kind we actually need. Very liberating.
2.got loads of washing done inc the first of the curtains.
3. DH chopped some logs so we have more to burn during this not-so-warm weather.
4. Both hens laid today. 2 eggs! yippeeee
5. Lovely calming camomile tea this afternoon.0 -
1) Sold the brooch, which I hope will be more appreciated in its new home.
2) Arranged to send back a pair of earrings which I bought online and turned out to be faulty, despite the company's policy being no returns on earrings - I know that's what they're meant to do, but company's don't always know that, I find.
3) Just as I was starting to run low on pasta, I found my favourite brand on B1G2F. :money:
4) Finished my essay. :j
5) Cooked a very nice noodle dish for dinner, using up the last of the roast prok from Sunday with some uber-cheap noodles and spice mix from AF. :money:
mhags - all the best for tomorrow. Hugs to you all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Sending positive thoughts to you mghaster and your family.0

Evening
MHagster - keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Pleasures for the last couple of days -
1. Good training walk at the weekend. I didn't really feel like doing it but still managed 14 miles so pleased with that but know that this weekend need to do at least 16
2. Lovely dinner at inlaws on Sunday for FIL birthday.
3. Spur of the moment day out with DD to Sealife in London. Managed to get a 2for1 voucher so not too expensive. We had a great day and certainly got our moneys worth. Also went to YoSushi for lunch (special offer) which is DD's current favourite restaurant.
4. Lots of cooking done yesterday - Chicken and Bacon Pie, Chilli, Cooked a chicken and stripped it down ready to use.
5. Managed to squeeze all the bits I had bought in the supermarket into the freezer, was a bit tight though
6. £3 luncheon vouchers in the post today.
7. Bargain in Hobby Craft today. The watercolour board that DD needed for an exam should have been £12.95 but it wouldn't scan and the staff said was discontinued only charged me a £1 so very happy
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Thinking of you Mhagster - stay strong
Just got in from OH's birthday night out, so for today
1. Good day at work - got lots of "bitty" jobs done
2. OH took car to work so I walked more than I'd planned which offset some of tonights excess
3. Nice meal out with OH. His birthday often gets lost as an event as we are often away / just returning from somewhere
4. Enjoyable concert at the CBSO. THe second half was somewhat erm, interesting. I was waiting for the kitchen sink to come in as the composer had clearly chucked everything else at it. Enjoyed the men on the big bongo drum thingies.
5 DD had waited up to do a bit of a display for OH's pressies so it rounded off his day nicely.
Marking at home tomorrow :T which is actually on a train as it's free for me and I get loads more done. Night night all.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Feeling a bit brighter today, shook myself out of the gloom as I really have no reason to be there. When I read about what others are going through I need to kick myself in the btm and get over it.
1. Started off a lazy day, raining so couldn't get outside so I have a long shower and lazy breakfast
2. Suddenly got the urge to do the filing. Had to take anything older than 3 years from the files, and add the pile that's been building up in the spare room for months. Am halfway through and have pile of about four inches high to shred already! Can't understand where it comes from, there's only me and it's not as if I'm at work
3. Paid off half of the August holiday with what was left over from the Rome one
4. Funny little girl cat has a new game, in the mornings when I go to open the lounge curtains she peeks round one, then runs along the window sill to the other one and peeks round that. She thinks it so funny she smiles when she purrs
5. An amazing speaker this evening, when it came to any questions no-one wanted to say anything, just listen some more
Night night, get well and stay well0 -
hugs Mhags
Late tonight winding down from seminar day
1) having woken up at 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 terrified of oversleeping did manage to get up at 7
2) all was well with the teaching. 24 health professionals from all over the world. Our student got a marriage proposal from one of the saudi delegates. He has 4 sons and offered her a choice of plastics, orthopaedics, paediatrics or obs and gyn. A novel way to pick a husband :rotfl:
3) lunch was the scrummiest fish pie i have ever eaten :P
4) went to pub this evening with vicar, vicar's wife and best friend. We sorta discussed the resurrection ( but BF and I very good at going off topic)
5) not teaching tomoz so can have a lie in :TMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

So my mortgage product has moved to them and the first thing they do is mess it up. All fixed now, paying £15 less per month, but I don’t trust them I am sure there will be something sneaky going on. Anyway it’s a pleasure saving £15.;)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hello, it's almost 1pm here, you lot will all be in your beds!
We got up at 4am to get ready for being at hospital for 6.00 am....we were there too blooming early! So all going well he is 1/3 way through surgery by now. Surgery is major and will last between 9 - 12 hours but possibly as long as 16 hours. So I won't see him tonight but will go in tomorrow morning and just sit quietly with him.
I was upset leaving him and this nice ,older lady who was waiting with her husband who was going for a biopsy, was kind! I bought her a coffee and had a hot chocolate. I hope I helped her as much as she helped me just by being there.
Walked down through the city and met the person who is over from UK to cover husbands work. had a nice breakfast with him and a good blether.
Walked other direction in city and walked up to church I wanted to go to, was a it disappointed it was closed but just went to the Anglican cathedral in city centre instead. Sat for a while, wrote my journal and lit a candle.
Got train home, scenery all autumnal.
Just had leftover chilli from last night for my lunch. DS made it...with much huffing and puffing!
So that's me for now, will update when I can, whenever I know! Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and good wishes.x0 -
mhagster - hang in there, thinking of you and yours - wishing your DH a "text book" operation xx:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0
