New Style BT Bills

Has anyone had a new style BT bill with the line rental and broadband charged in advance? I’ve just had mine and I’m not happy. I normally pay monthly in arrears but because this month is a “catch up“ I‘m paying the normal arrears amount for October, plus 3 weeks of November‘s charge on top - nearly twice as much! I…

IIRC, Virgin Media charges £5/month (£15/quarter) so BT is obviously playing catch up.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
