I thought the carrots looked expensive, but they are "Chantenay Carrots'.
I bought a swede in Morries yesterday for 49p, different sizes and you had to look for a decent one!!

Snap so did I!! My DD read about this method and tried it yesterday. It really does work! I would have expected an exploding Swede but it doesn't. I am trying mine to accompany dinner tonight."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Hi having a rather ancient computer it won't load the recipe properly, any chance of sharing it on here as I'm intrigued about this0 -
Thanks Meer. and for peeling kiwi fruit, cut in half and scoop out on the edge of a small round glass.0

It depends on your microwave power and the size of the swede. But a rough idea is put a few sheets of kitchen paper on the bottom of the microwave and stand the swede on it. Cook on full power for 10 mins. Turn the other way up and cook another 10 mins. If you poke a knife down the middle and it still feels firm then give it a bit longer. I needed to give mine another 5 mins. It's brilliant, no peeling, chopping or mashing to do. Just scoop out the inside all ready to eat!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream.
