It's too early for christmas songs! One of the ladies has brought in a singing dog, it sings a christmassy version of 'Shout'! It was cute the first time... now I want to fling it out of the window!

You should manage a decent turnover on etsy Dinah if you pull your finger out! Can you use your new sewing skills to make something you can sell as well as paintings/prints?

I'm hoping I can aye. I want to either make a skirt or an apron this weekend. Probably an apron since I have no zips or buttons.

Tete Tete i forgot the good news! You know how I was ranting about scissors being out of date and they needed a rolling craft knife?! It exists! And I own one!

And also, I found an awesome material shop. I got two fat quarters to use as trim on some of my plain material at home, lovely patterns, I'm all excited!

Ooh, I'll have to have a go tomorrow. Shame the Dragon's Den idea didn't pan out though!

What, where? I was looking at fat quarters in Boyes the other day, they're like £8 for a little bundle of them! And I still don't really know what they are...

Hehe, I didn't mean to sound like a bossy boots!

You should make pretty vintage housewife style aprons, they're always popular, the cuter the better! :)

Oooh, could you print your paintings onto T-shirts and tea towels etc? Might be a nice idea...

I'll show you my fat quarters. I think they're basically 1/4 of a metre, but short and fat not long and thin.

I finished cutting out my monster ball gown, and ironed on the interfacing. Its not so monstrous now its cut out. Need some thread to match the material though.

Its in Guisborough. Its not cheap like Boyes so I'd go there for basic cottons, but the patterned ones are lovely, and they must have 800 bolts of cloth in the little room there, its like Alladins cave!
