  • Haha no, probabaly not - deprivation of sleep and other things is probably making your mind focus on them! When does Mrs. Poolie get back?

Good news on the new thread Zig, maybe I'll keep up with this one :o

I'm all on a high because I have enough for my books, but they're not going to clear for another few days - so annoying! Weighed myself this morning and I'm 10st4 and a half, which is back down to the lowest I've been a couple of weeks ago. Going to see what I am tomorrow after going out for tea tonight, out of interest. It's quinoa for dinner though so that should help balance things out.

I reakon I'll be on a gain this week. My meals are generally fine, but then I'm hitting the chocolate in between. Have restarted FF and it just highlights I've lost the diet plot.

So after the panic of the whole 'eek we'll be £4k short for the wedding' thing I realised
    1. The people from church won't be coming anymore - £1000 saved
    2. Mum is paying for ALL my outfit, including shoes and veil - £250 or so saved
    3. Rings, these are going to be about £800, not £2000 as budgetted - £1200 saved
    4. We've already paid £1000 deposit out so this doesn't have to come from savings - £1000 'saved'
    5. I'm currently doing a challenge to make some more money for the wedding anyway!
    6. Mum also tells me my flower budget is too low - £200 or so gained
    7. I think I'm going to make my own cake (Tete if you find yourself getting a late night phone call on the 1st of September next year with me shrieking about icing, thats your cue to come to my house and fish me out the vat of buttercream and help me wallop it on the cakes!) - £250 or so saved
Suffice it to say I'm less paniced now! Although today NIM is gonna speak to his dad. Thats scary. I think by the end of the week we'll know a LOT more about where our money situation is going to stand.

Nice people at Dell are sending me a brand new battery to replace the one that has lasted less than a year, which is nice of them.

Oh no, you've found me on Dooyoo! I'm going to have to start writing reviews now! I'm a bit worried though, what if they're rubbish and people mock me?!

I weighed myself this morning and I'm still 10st10- who knew that simply talking about going on a diet but not actually dieting doesn't work?! I was good last night...ish! By ish I mean that after my healthy dinner I had half a Boost bar, but it was only half!

Think you should re-jig your wedding budget so I can figure out where you are now! :)

    Hokay, I'll go jiggle.

Yeah I'm having the same diet issue! I'm doing a dooyoo review on another weight watchers meal though, maybe that helps too?!

And surely if I read the review that counts right?!

I wish I had a live-in chef, dieting would be so much easier if I had a good meal ready for me when I get home on an evening. My trouble is that I get home quite late (for me!) and there's only me to cook for so why bother making a decent meal? It doesn't help that OH uses the last of everything and doesn't bother to replace it even though he goes to town nearly every day. The last thing I want to do after leaving work at 6pm is go to Morrisons and do a Big Shop and we keep forgetting to go on a weekend; well I think OH hates shopping so much that he makes me forget to go! I'm trapped in a vicious circle!

  • Morning Birdie! I know ready meals are food of the devil, but I've been getting the Tesco Light Choices ones for a Wednesday to have at work before I go to sewing class (Can't possibly survive til after 8, would die!) - maybe they'd be a good idea for you through the week. A lot of them are only a pound or so and are mostly under 400 calories.

Or if you can't be bothered - have a bowl of cereal or porridge, that's what I've been doing to try and keep my calories down on the days I don't see OH, so I can be a bit naughty when I'm eating out.

That is good that you have worked out that you are saving more money Dinah. I am sure that whatever gets thrown at you, you will manage to overcome.

I just had a funny picture of you under a mound of icing with Tete zooming in to help hehe.

Birdie I am going to look for you on Dooyoo. Don't worry about your first few reviews, you will soon get the hang of it.

See I have the opposite problem, me and mum love to cook, but that tends to mean lots of yummy food! I'd be better picking up diet ready meals tbh!

Okay I redid the budget, and I'm still nearly £4000 short.... how?!??!?!

I love to cook too, but when I do I also want to eat as much as OH which is a problem! It's been quite good having him away during the week as I have really simple (sometimes odd) dinners - last night I had a cup a soup and a bowl of salad as I'd run out of points by dinner time :o

Some of the M&S count on us meals are lovely - especially the chicken and asparagus risotto and thai green curry - but only if they're on offer as they're super expensive!

Blimey, you guys are making me feel really bad about my dinner - Super Noodles in a pot! Saying that I've been eating like a horse recently and I still keep on getting comments asking if I've lost weight!

The WW ready meals are lovely Birdie - Like Tete said they're normally only £1 or so. I have a couple Dolmio sauce pots stashed away which you just mix into cooked pasta so I normally have one of those if I'm in a rush. Not very diet friendly with all the carbs though!

Food talk is making my belly grumble now, I think it's Jaffa Cake o'clock! Or.. 25 past Jaffa Cake?

Will go have a look at your new Wedding budget Dinah!
