Close up of sparkly straps, see what I mean about back flab?!:

Post three makes interesting reading Dinah, especially the schedule bit! Flower and cakes are always so expensive I think, for what they are. I have a question - why do people bother with save the dates? If they can tell you a definite date they must have the venue booked... why not just send invitations and save on stationery? And a 'Sten' is presumably a joint party, why didn't you call it a Hag?
Is there a front view of that dress Birdie? And I can't imagine you have any back flab! ETA - sorry I take long to type! - very nice I really like the shape and subtle detailing.
That ring is really nice Dinah, and you say it'll take only 4 months to save enough Amazon vouchers??? Well then do it! Or does that booger up how you're going to pay for the house stuff?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
No, a different one called inweddingdress. Same idea though. I like this dress too, more what I was originally after:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Nah not really, house stuff can come afterwards. Or I can use the £10 a day challenge money for it.
And I didn't call it a hag party cos, well, ick!
We send save the dates so people coming from America and Ireland can plan far in advance, but it takes quite a while for invites to be made so we want to give them as much notice as possible.
I am still toying with making my own cake. Or cupcakes with one cutting cake, as the case would more likely be.
Forgot to factor in NIMs ring too, oops! I predict I could get enough vouchers for mine by the end of March, and for NIMs by the end of May.
I have two concerns about that ring. One is its very angular, not sure how the edges would sit with my engagement ring? The other is just a minor niggle on how the stones would be, since my engagement ring isnt quite as shiny as we would have liked.
And a more general concern, what if they withdraw it from sale?! I'll be stuck with thousands of pounds of Amazon vouchers! Actually, wishlist...Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

The challenge has been knocked on the head! Vouchers can't be used for marketplace items apparently. Could have sworn I'd used them on marketplace things beforeDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think you should make your own cake Dinah, or get a family friend etc to make one. They're soooo overpriced from 'professionals'. It makes me mad, if you want a birthday cake it costs £20, if you want a wedding cake it's £200!
Don't really know what to advise with the ring; that's the difficulty with buying online! ETA: Was just wondering if the vouchers would work anyway... bah!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. 30 day money back guarantee, so might buy it online anyway. Prices a about half the price of the high street.
Aye but at the end of the day £300 isn't a lot of money and I'm not sure I want the extra stress just before the wedding.... I'm weighting up the options. Plus it'd be much more impressive then my little cupcakes if someone else made it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I thought there must be some catch to the rings actually so that doesn't surprise me. Plan A then!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Wow weddings are expensive, I always thought I could do mine for around £12,000 when I get asked . We will see though. OH doesn't want to wear a wedding ring , which I am happy with, so at least would save there.0
