Well I have to say I'm relieved you're as bad as me. We're not going to get gold stars are we?! I blame my pair of antique sewing machines for being so useless!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I'm just scared of my pattern.
People on the house board are a bit brusque, regretting asking anything on there now!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Pilchard - I am so delighted for you, congratulations!!! Do tell us all the details.
Tete - how was Bath?
Had a great time in Sheffield with my bridesmaid-to-be and her husband. Anyone been to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park - it's amazing! Can highly recommend...
Back to the world of work today but nice and quiet in the office. I am doing backing up so can legitimately be lurking. I feel like my life is totally up in the air at the moment. We are waiting to hear about the house, which would be a life-changing thing. And then if we get it we need to decide if we can still afford the wedding, and get the final confirmation for the artists studios. Then in December I hear if I get the funding or not, which would shave 2 years off my phd. But it all seems to be taking so long!!!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
The house board are mean, said I'm a time waster for viewing a house without a morgage offer in principle in place. Well since we weren't planning to buy now it seemed a waste to do a credit check for one viewing!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's a load of rubbish, don't listen to them. We asked the mortgage adviser who said they could get us an agreement in principle in a day! You can get quotations for mortgages that don't check your credit if you want to see what kinds of rates you would get. DFW is the best board on MSE, some of the others are so harsh!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

OK I am NOT impressed. I have spent all weekend looking for a charity to take the old furniture from the old thread. I finally found somebody but they won't touch it due to the old crisp and chocolate wrappers down the back from the pre-dieting days! I went into the kitchen and there is coffee and tea cups everywhere!
Dinah - What bad news about the church. Hope you get it all shortly.0 -
We got a non credit check limit check with HSBC who said up to 178k or something mad, so a house we'd pay no more than £130k on seemed well within the limit.
Well some good news, heard back from the CofE church and he said we have a legal right to be able to marry there and he'd be delighted to speak to us about it if we give him a ring we'll arrange an appointment to go see him.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Poolie I think you'll probably find more crisp wrappers and choccie bars in the sofa in here when we move out, but shoved further down because we hide it better now we're 'dieting'. I really need to get motivated on that again, too stressed atm till I sort the church!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Would you be tempted to move churches altogether, this man seems a bit more accepting of the situation?
OK, I've just tidied out my toiletry and make-up drawers - I'm not allowed to buy any more make-up ever! (May need to stop reading Cinny's thread to achieve this, she's such a tempter!)
Hey Poolie, no fly-tipping now!
Hi Lara, Bath was lovely thanks! Love the sound of the sculpture park! Me and OH are having a day/weekeknd in Sheffield soon so might add that to the itinerary!
ETA- I weigh three pounds more than I did on Wednesday. Too many cream teas in Bath I fear! Not my fault they give you TWO scones down there though is it?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
