No we're getting married at home CMD, probably next September although we're not confirming til we've found somewhere to put a marquee! The wedding in Spain sounds lovely. We're having OH's step uncle do what for us is the 'real' ceremony outside (we have to do the official bit somewhere else).

My OH's cousin got married in a marquee and it was amazing. We had a brill day. The next day they used it again and had beef stew and trad music for everyone. It was a great day!

Sounds wonderful! We're hoping for the celebrations to start with the marquee decorating and go right through, so we'll get chance to properly talk to everyone we invite.

I've started a thread here so I don't hijack this or anyone else's thread.

Blimey Dinah, your Church sounds way harsh, I can't believe they said you were going to hell! I'll keep my fingers crossed over the other Church for you. I agree with Tete though, I couldn't put up with being judged all the time like that.

I'm loving the fact almost all the Ladies on here are getting married, means I can have all the wedding talk and dresses without the guilt of OH catching me looking at Wedding Dress websites :D
Love the sound of the outdoor wedding Bails! Reminds me of a Don't tell the Bride episode I saw last week, they had these massive joining Teepees in a stately home garden. Ooo, and they filled the inside with fairy lights too. It was so pretty!

I watched that as well and loved the Teepees! I love when someone thinks outside the box like that. Very unusual!

Fairy lists are most definitely on the list ;) I was hoping to put the marquee in a wood and have the lights in the trees so people could sit outside on benches too but it's looking like the place I had in mind isn't big enough and I can't afford to be too fussy on location it seems!

Liking the teepee idea a lot, how many people did they have?

We're having our friends that want to camp and we're borrowing a friend's bell tent (hopefully, we haven't actually asked them yet but they've offered it to us before!) for our wedding night. I'm planing on making it very luxurious! :D

Tbf they didn't say we're going to hell, just that we're 'not saved'... which is the same thing really but it sounds nicer!

I just feel like we're more committed to our faith than probably 99% of people, yet we're still being pushed out
