Yeah I noticed, thanks for that!

So, after swearing blind I don't want a mini honeymoon after the wedding and another one later in the year, we're now considering the Maldives for two weeks (not really all that mini!) straight afterwards, then one of the explorer type trips to Japan in March/April 2011 with a stop off in New York on the way back. While I'd love a big 3 week break, everywhere keeps saying you'll be shattered after the wedding, don't do anything too active, so maybe 2 weeks of luxury would be better than 3 weeks of exploring. And its not the time of year for Japan anyway.

Hello! Has everyone had a good weekend? Mine was OK, went to a lame Halloween party on Saturday but I like getting dressed up so it was worth the boring party! The bottle of wine I drank helped too…

Congratulations on the engagement Pilchard! Sounds like you had a great time in NY too! What did you get up to? I really want to go!

My internet at home is still playing up, it’s really slow on the PC, which I hate using anyway as we use the TV for the monitor and it’s too big for me to read without having to move my head, and it won’t even connect on the laptop, I’m not happy!

I’m not in the mood for work today; I can see this mood settling in as a permanent thing too! Not good… I’ve got so much to do at home I’m feeling quite resentful about being here, the flat is a tip and I feel like it’s going to take forever to get on top of everything! I’m going to have to do what Tete does and have a little declutter challenge with myself because I’ve got far too much stuff in boxes that I’ve not used since we moved into the flat and I’m just going to have to chuck it out and let go! OH doesn’t help as he’s of the persuasion that if it’s out of sight it’s OK so cupboards and drawers are overflowing with rubbish that really needs sorting through and throwing out! There’s no point in my taking some days off work to get stuck in either as OH doesn’t leave for work until after 1 so I’ll just be tip-toeing around him all morning and not actually doing anything… argh! Anyone have any extra hours, or even days, they can send my way?!

Sorry about the Church hassles Dinah, I think that since religion is more of a personal choice now rather than it just being the norm to go to church, especially amongst young people, it should be celebrated and encouraged when people do show a commitment to their faith. OH’s parents are Christians and it always annoys me how judgmental their church is; everyone claims to be their friend but only as long as they all behave as they should… Who gives them the right to act so High and Mighty towards you and NIM because you live together- it’s out of necessity and it’s under your parents’ roof! It could be a lot worse. But I suppose things are very black and white, far too black and white for my liking!

I like the sound of the teepees, I wonder how they work out vs. a marquee price wise?

ETA: Honeymoon plan sounds very good Dinah! :)

Been doing a bit of speed clicking on you lot on dooyoo myself this morning, uh-oh!

Uh-oh from me too, been speed clicking on some of Tetes old reviews I could have sworn I'd already rated!

Love the idea of the 2-week honeymoon Dinah! And yay for the new freebies, will get them done before the other Office girl comes in, then I can look very busy with my backlog of work when she does :D

  • Haha, nice work ethic Cinny! Nice to have you back Birdie, I know exactly how you feel about having loads to do at home and resenting being at work! But then when I am at home I just cuddle up with the cats and don't do anything much really!

Honeymoon sounds good Dinah, and presumably the Maldives will be a bit cheaper than the super dooper Japan trip so should be a bit easier to save for alongside the wedding.

Well not really, both will be about £4500 each, but at least it splits the costs up a bit!

You mean £4500 per honeymoon not £4500 per person right?!
