Lol my normal ones that do the job just fine are my mums, I don't own a pair. And they do do the job great, but she loves them and probably won't let me take them with me when I move!!!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

So, NIM has now fallen hook line and sinker for the whole 'traditional Christmas' thing, apparently never having had one before, and wants to make chocolates or truffles or similar. Anyone know any good recipies? Slightly quirky or cute ones prefered.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lots to catch up on over the weekend can't remember everything...
Flower, glad it went as well as it could have and I agree with everyone who has mentioned closure. Hope you're feeling a bit better now that it's over.
Cinny, glad you had a good holiday, sounds heavenly and loving how you compare yourself to Ian Beale!!
Dinah I think Bungalows hold their value very well somehow, I seem to think they're very in demand all the time? I know what you mean about not having stairs though!
Can't belive NIM has never had a traditional Christmas being brough up in holy Catholic Ireland! I'm trying to think of things to put in my jars - I have three to give to OH's parents and five to go on the coffee table. I'm thinking mini Twink hobnobs, peppermint creams, shortbread, gingerbread and brownies, all cut out with my festive cutters? I do have a recipe for Choc Truffles but when I made them the melted butter in them turned them very greasy, don't know how to stop that ...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Not ideal. I know one of my books has a load of sweets recipies at the back, I just can't remember which one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi all,
Flower - well done on talking about your friend. Her parents will always remember that gesture and your friend would have been so proud of you xxx
Well done on the BB win Dinah! I never had a stocking either. Think it is a relatively new concept in Ireland. I don't feel hard done by though, as I always got great presents even though my parents didn't have too much spare cash when we were growing up!
I am now under 13k (just) on my debt. Baby savings not too high though, so am hoping to top them up a bit this month!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm suprised hwo well moneymaking has gone this month. With unexpected presents, going to Birmingham, buying all that china and car repairs the budget has gone awol, but we've roughly managed to stay on top of the payments somehow?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
