    *sneaks in*

I weighed in yesterday too but have been too ashamed to admit I have put on another 1lb! I really can't understand it, I like my food, but come on! It's got to be age related, all you skinny young ones will not always be so skinny, ha!

Sorry to hear your news too MinniMe, it's especially hard to lose someone at this time of year, not that there is ever a good time.

I'm sure your friend would appreciate you speaking for her Flower, you will be thankful you did it for her. Take care!

*shivers* swine flu vaccine is awful. Can't move my arms am stiff all over and feel sick. Have called in a days holiday which thankfully my boss was okay about, but it does mean I'll miss my staff Christmas party.

Even more annoying I have a whole day off and can't do anything really! As I have a laptop I can just about type, so I tihnk I'm going to try to get the fincial ombudsman form finished off.

Morgage advisor came last night, had some good deals, specifically a 4 year fix with the Newcastle building society for 4.40%, making monthly payments about £550. We could take out the loan over 6 years with that, and I could try to save up to pay the loan off 2 years early, which would mean saving about £10,000 from extra income in 4 years. I think thats do able, its not even quite a tenner a day. Although I'm not sure I can hack another 4 years of extra income earning (unless its creative extra income earning!)

Don't forget you'd also be doing the renovations, which would be quite time consuming .......

    But SOOOOO much fun!

Oh dinah - hope your feeling better soon, 4.4% is a good deal but don't stretch yourself too far.

Hi all! Been so busy this week I haven't had a chance to post! Had the afternoon off work today so OH and I went on our annual Christmas shopping trip to York and we stuck to tradition and got very cold, had lunch at Bella Italia and didn't really buy much! We did find Barbie make-up in New Look though, I got very excited as I loooooove Barbie (I know, I'm not exactly a feminist!) and I gave it all to OH to buy me to put in my stocking! He wasn't exactly happy about having to go up to the till with a pile of Barbie stuff! Hehe! My card was declined in a shop so it appears that I have run out of money until payday next Friday- oops! Off to check my online banking and move some money from the joint account (that I'm owed anyway) into my account to get me afloat again! Luckily we've got a quiet weekend planned! I'm off to a Dickensian fair up in the Dales with my family tomorrow so hopefully my parents will treat me to food and pressies!

I'm going to a Pampered Chef party at my friend's tonight, it's like a Virgin Vie party but with cookware, the people who come to sell the stuff even cook a meal so I think we're having Indian, yummy! I'm not planning on buying much, I had a look at the catalogue and it isn't cheap! I'll just buy a spoon or something to be polite!

Hope today was OK Flower and that it helped you say goodbye to your friend.

I also hope that you're feeling better now Dinah! That flu jab sounds nasty; my Mum's friend had one last year and she felt awful for days, she said she'd rather have had flu!

Hope you got through today okay Flower x

Aye I feel the same as your mums friend Birdie!

Have made some progression on the wedding front, have a shortlist of 4 bridesmaids dresses, for my 3 bridesmaids, so one won't make the cut!

Also we've started looking at other houses, there is a reasonable bungalow in another village, lots of space although its bizarre to me to have a house with no stairs. There is also a very small but immaculate cottage in another village.
