  • You are doing great on the weddings savings Dinah!

I am getting OH a crumpler laptop bag, dressing gown and other bits and pieces. We decided we would get practical things this year although he has been after a crumpler bag for a few years so he will be thrilled with that for his Mac.

We will be together 9 years on the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve so it gets a bit harder with time. Usually I would get him something frivolous like a wii but with the baby coming along we thought practical is best.

One of the things I have asked him to get me is:

I know some of you (Cinny being one!!!) are Soap and Glory fans so you may appreciate this deal :)

As far as I'm aware NIM has done absolutely no Christmas shopping yet! I can't really write what I have got him, but its only a few tiny bits as my hands were tied to a £30 spending limit (excluding the £30 I'd already spent).

Yay, just got news that the valuation has been instructed! If the valuation is okay then we get our mortgage offer, and are ready to exchange. Relief....

  • CMD, I was reading your post thinking it was Wendz and got a bit of a shock when 'she' mentioned a baby! Need another coffee I think! What's a crumpler bag? :o I saw that on the grabbit board yesterday, it's the day we go to London though so I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on one as I'll be in transit, I reckon they'll sell out pretty quick :(

Dinah, I'm thinking the same re. BP - it was great for a few weeks but I jumped on the bandwagon too late and if it's taking an hour a day it's defiitely not worth it. I'll see how many points I have, if it's more than 5000 I'll try to get to payout level but if not think I'll abandon.

ETA - fingers crossed then Lara!!!

I have a full 2 weeks off over Christmas, and I'm thinking I might make myself a creative to do list. I know I'll be busy for at least half the time, however I'd really like to devote some time to creative projects rather than using the time for moneymaking, make it a proper holiday for me. There are a few big jobs I've been putting off that need to be done over Christmas mind, and I do want to relax a bit with my family, but crafty stuff isn't exactly stressful!

That said there is still a part of me that wishes I had your guts to go for it.

I dont really feel like i was being gutsy in getting it done. I was letting bullies from years ago 'persuade' me i needed it. To be honest i would have been happy with just having the brace on. I wish i had put more thought into it and what i was getting myself into - but i dont regret it.

I think its nice that your priorities have changed and you are happy with your appearance. And NIM obviously loves you the way you are!

With regards to bingoport i think i might stop it aswell Dinah, doesnt seem worth it to me anymore. Got my last voucher off them today.

It can be, I was pretty stressed with that effing sewing machine last night! I had a dream last night as well that I'd had another go on Granny's machine and it worked perfectly and I was whizzing up all these little sewn delights

I have a bit of a craft to do list too. Managed to finish off Sock Cat, but Xmas cards still need doing, and my cardie that I want to turn into a cushion cover, and the lavender hangers I was going to make for friends, and the almost-finished Christmas Cat cross stitch from years ago I found under the bed ... ... ...

I just checked my account and have 5222 points - how long do you reckon it'll take to payout on the new rules? Will it be worth it?

Well under the new rules you will need to play at least 2000 of those in the bingo NOT the slots. And you need to 10,000 NOT 8000. So i think its going to take at least another week for you.

    Hi Tete,

That's funny that you thought Wendz was having a baby!

Crumpler bags are just really good laptop bags (the rolls royce of the laptop bag world!!!).I managed to get one for OH for £50 on Amazon and they are usually about £120 (priced them in Oz as that's where they are made)

Think the Boots offer goes live at midnight on the 17th so if you were up you could snap one up then!

  • Hmm I'm undecided about BP then, I don't like the idea that I've got £2.50 worth of points there, I wouldn't want to waste it!!

Ah might have a look at ordering it online thanks CMD! £120 for a laptop bag??!!
