Thats exactly what i had. For me it was totally worth it - both cosmetically and medically, but its not something you should do lightly because as you can imagine its not a simple process.
My mouth was wired shut for 12 weeks - couldnt eat or speak. Thankfully got all feeling back, but its not a nice thing to go through.Tesco_points_addict wrote: »Dinah, (from one in know:o) this is a major op. and as you say something you say something you should not enter into lightly. Having seen photos of yourself I would say it is certainly an OTT for you to have.
You are gorgeous and I remember from months back it was something your MIL said that made you think about your teeth and mouth arggggggggggggggg:mad:.
This type of operation can have a fantastic effect for some people, but they tend to be those with much more pronouced problems. Having a family building/buying a home and your general health is far more important IMHO!
TPAxCouldnt agree more. I remember seeing photos of you Dinah after what your future MIL said and i thought she was insane for saying such things! For me it was both cosmetic and medical and has definitely boosted my confidence, but if it is not something that has bothered you i dont think it is worth the pain or hassle!
My confidence had always been low because of the appearance of my jawline so for me it was great.
Thanks for the comments. It has always bothered me, however, at the end of the day most people don't notice it, and I'm comfortable with who I am, and NIM loves me no matter what my teeth look like, so for me I think I'd rather have the possibility of starting a family than straight teeth. Never thought I'd make the decison not to get it sorted if I could but I guess my priorities have gone all mushy!
My overbite is 12mm Flower, so pronounced but everything is straight inside so it doesn't look like ogre teeth or anything. Can I ask why you decided to go for it given you could have lost sensation?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
