NIM says the first round is on you Poolie

Fine by me. Also long as Mrs Poolie does not find out and we don't get too ratted since I have to sleep all day tomorrow for more wonderful nightshifts (4) starting tomorrow.

Hi everyone - just though i would pop on to let you know everything went reasonably okay yesterday. Managed to get about half eway through my speech, i looked over at the coffin saw a picture of the 5 of us close friends together and just broke down. The priest took over reading, but overall it was a nice service. Very difficult, but in a way has helped bring some clossure.

Thank you for all the kind messages, it really does mean a lot.

Glad it went as well as could really be expected Flower, I bet you are glad you spoke though, one of those things you cannot look back and say...if only I had

Glad to hear you're okay Flower, I think you did really well to even get a word into your speech - I couldn't have done it. *insert none dodgy hug smilie my eyes are too tired to find the link to*

I'm sure he'll love whatever it is you got him Dinah. Yay for NIMs first stocking!

Just done some major card damage - eek! Booked next years holiday, and got some good hauls offline. My bank account isn't looking very pretty. I best get to bed though, have a stupidly early morning and a 6 hour car journey to look forward to - yay

    Hi all,

Flower - You were incredibly brave to even get half way through, you are right though in a weird way funerals do give you closure.

Cinny - nice to see you again! Wheres the holiday?

Dinah - I am sorting OHs stocking, this is the first year he is at my parents on christmas morning so need to make sure he is not left out! Got him some nice male moisturiser yesterday with my boots points.

I went out last night with my best friend and her course mates as someone got engaged, we went to the most pretentious clubs ever in Kensington and Park Lane . It was fun but I paid ten pounds for a drink, it makes me feel ill thinking about it!

I can't believe NIM has never had a stocking! That's insane! Hang on... I just checked with OH and he's never had one either! What's with our poor deprived boys? I'm going to buy one today, I can't have that! As for filling it, Play has a stocking fillers section and Hawkins Bazaar has loads of stuff, they even have a pre-filled stocking for the lazy ones amongst us for the grand price of £14.99!

Nice to see you back Cinny, it sounds like you had a good time! Any piccies to make us jealous?! Where have you booked to go next year?

Flower, I'm glad you managed to speak on Friday, you were very brave to do so and I'm sure your friend would have been very proud to see you up there.

Wendz, £10 a drink?!?! That's insane! Here in the sticks we can get about 5 or 6 drinks for £10! OH was most upset when we went out in London last year and it cost £11 for a little JD and Coke and an Archers and Lemonade! I don't think I'll tell him that it gets *much* worse or he'll never want to go back!

Anyone know of any cheap t-shirt printing sites? I want to get t-shirts printed for OH and his friends but I'm not prepared to pay a lot for it!

    Hey hey

I never had a stocking either! But I don't mind. It's very sweet of you though Dinah, I am sure he will be really pleased. LOL @ TPA!!!

It's getting so Christmassy now, today we are making crimbo dinner for friends and last night was a big party - still a bit hungover. Work dinner on Tuesday - yum!

Flower I am so glad the funeral went okay for you, I think you were very brave and everyone will be proud. (((((Big hugs)))))

Cinny! It's good to have you back, glad you had a great time!

We're going back to the same place! :o 4 nights in one of the lodges and then 2 in Blackpool. Loads of stuff we wanted to do but couldn't because of the weather or stuff being closed for the winter season! Boo! Uploading some photos from the waxworks onto Flickr so I'll post a link at some point!

What kind of printing is it you want to have done? Photos? It might be cheaper to get some Primarni tops and printing transfer paper than using a site?

Dinah - Went to see my Mums Brother near London, 3 hours each way. Got back about 5 so not bad :) Watched Elf and got all my pressies wrapped and cards written so I'm feeling all christmassy! Hows the stocking going?

Stocking is complete (when things arrive!) except for a few nibbles and things from a supermarket, £5 or so nothing much so I'll get those later in the week when I have functioning arms again.

I was on Hawkins Bazaar site Birdie and they charge £4.99 for delivery! I thought that was a LOT so I left them to it!

Okay, remember that voucher stash I had on Amazon, over £100.... well I spent half on NIMs presents, and the ther half on GHDs because they were half price and I've always wanted some, and using my remaining vouchers meant they cost me under £3.... But now I'm completely screwed for the sales if I don't pull my finger out on Dooyoo!

All of a sudden Miss 'I don't need GHDs because my normal ones do the job perfectly for a fraction of the price' changes her tune when she figures out she can get them for £3! ;) I'd love a set... maybe one day *sigh*

I didn't see the postage on Hawkins Bazaar, 4.99 is crazy!

Cinny, I'm just looking at getting some writing put on the t-shirts so your idea of doing it myself is going to be the best bet I think! I was having a little look online last night and prices were crazy expensive!
