 Flower that's expensive - I hope he's getting you a gold bar or something for Christmas! I am just getting OH a case for his camera (definitely a big scrooge). Seriously though if you are more worried about your debt just give him a contribution towards it.
Im not worried about it, i've been putting a bit of money away every week for a while now, so i have the cash to pay for it.Just to play devils advocate Flower, while it is a very generous gift, I thought what he wanted most in the world was to move out? I decent DSLR is going to cost at least £400 excluding lenses, whens his birthday? Might it not be worth waiting and getting it for him then, and moving out 3 or 4 months earlier? Its entirely your decision, but if hes a good photographer already presumably he already has a camera, and an expensive camera is unlikely to give him any more confidence, only he can give himself that.
I knew i probably shouldnt have mentioned about OHs christmas presenti know exactly what you mean but me buying him this camera isnt making any difference to our move out date really.
I know alot of people will frown upon the amout of money im spending but im not adding to our debt.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
- Find out if Cadburys World tickets are cheaper online or if there are any vouchers for them.
Mmm i love Cadburys World!!No good at all for your diet though (you'll have to have a day off from it!), they give out so many bars and packets of chocolates all the way round - yummy yummy!

I know you're not and certainly from me its not a case of frowning on it, but at the end of the day less than a fortnight ago he was in a flunk and wanted nothing more than to move out. The price of a decent camera and lenses (please bear in mind 95% of cameras come with no lens at all so you need to get a couple if you're not already aware of this) will go almost all the way to clearing the last bit of debt, and you could be moved out in the new year. So it could make a big difference to the move out date if that was your priority.
At the end of the day only you know whats better for him and you, and its none of our business what you do, but if he's as miserable at home as he seemed to be, I'm just raising the option for consideration that the money would be better spent clearing the debt so you can move out as that will make him a happier in the long run.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I went to Cadbury World years ago and remember being disappointed by how FEW freebies they gave out! I remember getting one or two small chocolates and a bit of the chocolate drink that they used to make in the Amazon or wherever but that was it. And the shop wasn't even that cheap eitherWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Completely understand what your saying but him having this camera is only going to affect our move out date by 2 - 3 weeks max.
Thanks for saying about the lenses - did know about that so thankfully have the money sorted for that aswell.Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »I went to Cadbury World years ago and remember being disappointed by how FEW freebies they gave out!
