But they had boxes and BOXES of Bubbaloo!
They didn't give out many freebies when I went either, but that was almost 4 years ago now (went for my 15th, that makes me feel so old!) I think I got a curly wurly + a fudge plus the little shots. But I DID find out how they get the orange middle into the cream eggs. So that made up for it.
Dinah - You'll love the Good Food showAre you going to see any of the Chefs? When we went we were stuffed on freebies so only had to buy a couple drinks + a teeny lunch while we were there.

Seeing James Martin. Would have liked to see Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver but neither are there the day we're going.
ETA: Got a great RiSi swap yesterday, small fiction paperback for a Gordon Ramsay Just Desserts book. He might be an arrogant twonk (making up insults to avoid the filter!), but he is a damn good chef.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Phwoar, James Martin!I saw Gordon Ramsay when I went 2 years ago, he was really good but oddly nervous.
Feel a bit more youthful now TeteI want to go to Cadbury World now!
I could take me and OH on a little detour to it on the way to Ribbledale - would be about 2 hours in the wrong direction but maybe he won't notice

I agree he is a very good chef. OH thinks hes great, when he went through catering college he always looked up to him. Still says now that he wants to be like him - i hope he doesnt mean in the rude horrible way!!
We have loads of his books - well they are OHs really, people always buy them for him for birthdays and christmas. I think we probably have just about everyone hes done!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

UGH! But yay that you found the phone!
Mmm... Cadbury world...
Thanks for all the camera info, girls. I'm thinking of getting a reconditioned Canon (which comes with a 1yr warranty anyway) and then I can choose a good lens to start with rather than getting the standard one which didn't seem very good on the £400 Canon model (can't remember the number - there's loads of camera jargon to learn!!)
OH and I are buying it for each other for Christmas and I'm topping it up with some birthday money - it's fairly extravagant, but it's what we both want! I kind of feel we have spent so much on safari anyway, I'd like to have some decent photos at the end of it!
(You're super generous, Flower! I hope OH gets you something pretty special too)

Oooh, good freebies!
I feel really left out, I've never been to Cadbury World. I'm a bit scared to take OH because if there are indeed freebies he'll make himself sick as he's got no self control! The more I think about it the more I realise that he is a puppy in human form!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Poddle - don't take a good lens on safari! The sand in the wind will cause thousands of scratches on the lens and you'll never get properly sharp photos again. Also if its in the heat you'll melt the oil in the lens and it just won't ever be as good. Take the cheap basic one with you, it'll be fine for pics of animals etc at normal print size, just huge blow ups might be a bit less than you'd hope for, and keep the good lens for more agreable conditions.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
