In all the "excitement" on the other thread, almost forgot to update this one so just a brief update tonight.
Tuesday was football night so had the boys staying over. The team lost 2-0 to a side two divisions lower which was hugely disappointing but that's life. Went to the gym in the morning.
Wednesday was the day from hell as explained elsewhere and had the boys and my ex's daughter staying over last night.
Thursday (today) - took the children to school then to the gym. (me to the gym, not them!!). Worked at home this afternoon then sorted a lot of my DRO paperwork out tonight. Need to send off for my credit report tomorrow but all statements are ready to be despatched.
Tomorrow, if the snow lets me, I will be busy. Morning DX at 7am, then meeting the boys head teacher at 8.30am, gym at 9am then a Social Services meeting at 11am. Need to squeeze paperwork, website work and a shop in Asda there somewhere too. That said, I think the weekend will be quiet as the weather will cancel football training and the match while Yeovil are away to Rochdale so I'm not going to that either. Feels like there might be some geocaching ahead....0 -
Another three days go by without a blog, shocking stuff.
Friday - worked on the website then had the Social Services core meeting at 11am which, as normal, you can read about on the other thread. Picked the boys up after their carol service at church for the weekend.
Saturday - football training was postponed and the first team were away in Lancashire so did match report off the radio. Made the most of a rare Saturday morning off by buying a couple of presents and going out to do seven geocaches, later to be increased to eight when we did a "First to Find" in Bath at 6pm.
Sunday - football postponed again so we did two series of geocaches about fifteen miles away. First series took just under three hours and we got sixteen done then another nine done inside ninety minutes too; certainly kept us all fit.
Went to the pub quiz tonight and won a box of Quality Street, three free drinks vouchers, three festive characters and a bottle of wine. Have just got back from town having picked DD1 up from a concert and now off to bed with a busy week ahead to look forward to.0 -
Managed to get a lie-in for the first morning in yonks today, arising at 8.30am. Took the girls down to the city centre for a shopping trip then was meant to head to the gym for the first session of the week but ended up being buried in work for the rest of the day.
Boys came around with my Christmas presents tonight and stayed for an hour while their mum went shopping then went home again as quickly as they came.
Tonight, wrote an article for the Boxing Day programme on a man who sadly lost his baby, born stillborn last October, very sad story with a happy ending in that he has since had another little boy and is running 230 miles in 5 days to raise money for SANDS, a stillbirth and neo natal charity... :T:A
Just been to Asda for shopping as it is always quiet but even tonight it was busy. Spent £58 in total but that included a present for £10, razors for £7, wrapping paper for £5, another present for a fiver and some sellotape for a quid so almost 50% was stuff I will not need for ages. Forgot a couple of bits so might have to go in tomorrow after the gym session.0 -

No, don't think so. This guy lives in Yeovil so can't be the same one... would have been quite some coincidence, wouldn't it?0 -
Also forgot to mention that I weighed in yesterday and have lost another two pounds, meaning a total loss of two stone four pounds in twenty weeks.
Signature updated accordingly.0 -
Ended up with a couple of house visitors yesterday afternoon which was nice. The twins' sister's friend was taken into hospital with stomach pains so their mum asked if I could have the boys for a few hours as her friends' parents weren't about. Boys stayed here from 11.30am till 4.30pm...
Rest of the day was spent on paperwork, then watching football on Sky Sports last night. Also made a little list of all else needed to finish Christmas off then worked on some geocaching series to do over the festive period; we should have a few days free-ish of work to go out and do some.
Today, it's the morning DX in a minute then I'm going to try to get a gym session in straight after. Need to pop in and get a couple of presents too so busy morning before the boys come around this afternoon till 7.30pm. Daughter coming up for another concert tonight with friend and they're staying over too.0 -
Morning DX went off without a hitch then straight into the gym for an hour's session arriving home at 9.30am. Don't really like working out that early as it doesn't feel like my body has woken up by 8am but it may only be now and again.
Nipped into Asda for £3.65 worth of shopping then into Brantano for Christmas pressies to the value of £22. Back home then back out to pick the girls' bags up as they're off to a concert tonight (picking them up in an hour's time).
Boys then rung up saying they wanted to come around today, that's every day this week so far and they stayed until 9.45pm as mum had an AA meeting tonight. Waiting for girls to be ready for collection then picking them up and off to bed.
Tomorrow is morning DX, no gym then down to the football club for the works Christmas dinner and to collect my expenses cheque.0 -
Well, somehow ended up with the twins here again tonight meaning that they've been round here every day this week which is nice but makes me wonder why, I suppose. Should stop over analysing everything really! They rung up about 7.30pm saying they wanted to stay the night so couldn't turn them down (didn't really want to, to be honest!). Had to nip to the local Asda to get a few bits and bobs (£16.40) to save going tomorrow and having to drag them with me.
Morning DX this morning then home for shower, breakfast then dropped DD1 and friend into town before going down to the football club and enjoying my first Christmas dinner with all the staff mingling together which doesn't normally happen. Had three of the team on my table.....
Home tonight and off to bed in a minute as had short sleep time last night. The slight downside is that I won't be able to go to the gym tomorrow but small price to pay for the little ones feeling they'd like to come here and stay again.
Tomorrow? Morning DX then much paperwork to sort out.0 -
Another two days have gone by in a flash so a quick update.
Today went geocaching this morning and did 29 caches in three hours over a four mile circuit. Dropped the boys home afterwards at 2pm then completed the Christmas shopping and took a few presents around before tea. Popped into Asda and picked up some bits and bobs (nearly £44 but this included £7 on a shirt, £5 on a book, £6 on chocolates and £2 on biscuits).
Wrapped all my presents tonight; off down to see DS1 and DD1 for dinner tomorrow and possibly tea before returning to pick DS2 and DS3 for Christmas night and all of Boxing Day.
Finally, just wanted to wish all the readers, the contributing ones and the lurking ones, for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic 2012.0
