Bitterly disappointed that the team couldn't hold on. 2-0 up against a side from two divisions above with nine minutes left and it should be curtains but there you go, that's football. At least we're in the third round draw tomorrow afternoon and the hope remains that we'll draw a big side like Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea.
Today's plan is a quiet one. Football training this morning then possibly geocaching this afternoon though a lot depends on the weather.0 -
Really enjoyed this weekend although it hasn't had as much football in it as normal (maybe that's why!!).
Trained yesterday morning then, with no football to report on or watch, we did a series of ten geocaches in Wiltshire which was a 2.3 mile walk. Home for a bath, Harry Hill, X Factor and bed.
Today, our game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch so we got up and after breakfast went on a really long geocaching series. Four miles, up hill and down dale over some terrific gradients and lovely views of Bath, and we did 17 out of an 18-series of caches near Colerne.
Pub quiz tonight (£2 entry and £7 for a round) was the only spend till I got a pint of milk and a loaf of bread for £2.43 in Tesco a minute ago.
Tomorrow I've got the gym in the morning after breakfast then an awful lot of paperwork, an interview, a bank account to open and websites to update. Off to London on Tuesday for a Football League meeting.0 -
Well as usual, today didn't really turn out how I expected. But not all in a bad way....
Gym this morning saw another 662 calories burnt off then went home to do some paperwork. Expense cheque was waiting for me at the football club and had hoped the media manager might drop it off tomorrow when we attend the same meeting but he pronounced he wasn't going. Hence I ended up driving down to the club to collect it and work from the office today.
Paid it in straight away then came home tonight and called into Asda for a half shop of £22 which should do until the weekend.
Tomorrow is meeting in London day so will be leaving extra early to get in the city for an 11am meeting.
Weighed in this morning and have lost another two pounds meaning a total loss of 2 stone 1 pound in eighteen weeks! Signature duly updated.0 -
Just off to bed now so thought I'd better update the blog.
Set off to London this morning at 7am and was going on nicely until I got to Reading where I then proceeded four miles in ninety minutes thanks to an accident on the motorway. Got going again but after a brisk walk from the car park to the station, three tube rides and another brisk walk to the venue, got in ten minutes late!
Meeting lasted four hours with a 45-minute break for lunch then did all of the above in reverse, getting home tonight at 7pm after stopping for tea in the services. Used my AA card to get 20% off my brunch bringing it from £5.49 to £4.39. Other spends today were £7.30 on the tube ticket, a pound for some wine gums for journey home and £43 on diesel which was actually yesterday and went onto my Nectar card.
Tomorrow is morning DX, a gym session, loads of paperwork, planning a football festival, picking boys up from school and lots, lots more!0 -
Morning DX this morning was delayed half an hour so had to rush to the gym and got in there late but still managed an hour's workout burning 606 calories....:T
Home for work for the day until 3pm though had to nip into Asda for a few things (£10 max spend). Picked boys up from school and kept them till 8.30pm as their mum had an AA meeting tonight.
The local water main burst tonight so I've been without water for three hours now - hopefully it will be repaired by the morning otherwise it will be a long day and although I wasn't planning a gym trip tomorrow, I might have to, just to get a shower somewhere!!0 -
Long day again today and its nowhere near finished yet. Got my daughter up here for a gig and I'm not picking her up until 11.30pm...
Did the morning DX today then had a good old morning working on the website and also sorting a lot of my paperwork out as well. I have my CCCS paperwork to sort ready for tomorrow's phone interview which I pretty well finished, 11am is the time! Also got a lot of phone calls done including opening another bank account with Lloyds so that I can shut the Halifax one and have all my accounts under one umbrella.
Rest of day was quite quiet ahead of tomorrow which from 7am to 3pm consists of morning DX, shopping, ring the boys, gym workout, CCCS interview, website work, visit to the case social worker and picking the boys up from school.0 -
Another long day today which has left me shattered and ready for bed now.
DX this morning was on time and whizzed round it meaning I got into Asda, did the weekly shop part 2 (£23) and was home just after 8.00am. Rung the boys then down to the gym for an hour (612 calories) before getting back home for my CCCS interview at 11am. The counsellor was fantastic and helped me no end so hopefully that route will be clear soon for me to finally get my debts sorted.
At 2.00pm, went to see the social worker (see other thread) then picked the boys up from school after their Christmas fayre. Tea, just chilled tonight and they've gone to bed though DS2 is very restless tonight for some reason.
Tomorrow is football training in the morning, Yeovil v Notts County in the afternoon and X Factor in the evening!0 -
Football training called off this morning due to a frozen pitch and went down to see the team win 1-0 with an 88th minute nwinner which was fantastic..... bit of a sore throat now.
Quiet night tonight watching X Factor ahead of tomorrow which will (hopefully) see the under-11's team play and a manager's meeting.
Spends today were a tenner on gas, £2 on sweets and £16 of petrol.0 -
Enjoyed today although it started off a bit stressy with my goalkeeper crying off quite late meaning a team reshuffle and doubt over whether the game would go ahead. It did, but we lost 7-3 though we were 4-0 down inside ten minutes which to me was a bit of a recovery.
Bathed boys, had lunch then vegged on the sofa for the afternoon watching, surprise surprise, football!! Took them home at 5pm then had a managers meeting this evening.
Tomorrow sees a load of fiddly, small jobs plus the big Social Services meeting at 2pm which will decide whether the boys will be subject to a Child Protection Plan or not. Fuller details are on the "Home Alone" thread as I was determined to keep this thread on topic.
Busy week too. Gym sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; football match on Tuesday night in the FA Cup; a school match on Thursday; an under-11s match on Sunday plus my daughter and a friend staying over on Sunday night.0 -
Woke up this morning and off to the gym for an hours workout. Back home to work for a few hours then off to the Social Services meeting which was a two hour job (see other thread!).
Picked the boys up from their friends house and then came home where I've only popped out briefly to Asda for a spot of shopping. Spent £21 which included £3 for a hand towel and enough to get me through the week, I think.
Tomorrow is FA Cup replay day so off down there with the boys after tea; might be a late night so will have them to sleep over tomorrow night. That said, the weather here is terrible tonight so I'd imagine there might be some doubt whether the game will be on or not.
Weighed in this morning and lost another pound so I've had to update the signature again.0
