Rest of the day was pretty uneventful really. Picked up boys from school this afternoon, fed them, took them to football training then dropped them home after watching "Coast"....:D

Finished proof-reading the programme about an hour ago, just chilling on the laptop now till 10.30pm. Tomorrow will be another quiet day - two paper rounds for sure plus an interview with an ex-player tomorrow afternoon.

Next week starting to look busy. I have an interview on Monday with a website that is starting up in Bristol soon as a freelance writer, Tuesday is a home match where the boys will be mascots, Wednesday is football training, Thursday is visiting-the-older-kids day, Friday to Sunday the boys will be round with a match in London to go to.

Edited to add: Only spending today was £10 on the gas card and £9.45 on shopping. Should get paid expenses tomorrow or Friday so will do a bigger shop then.

Received the expenses payment today which has helped me get life back to normality again...;).

Paid the Virgin bill (£65.85) and went to do the week's shopping in Asda (£19.09) then delivered one paper round (107 papers). Interviewed an ex-player this afternoon and wrote the article tonight (650 words) plus did an archive article of 900 words tonight, a new signing article for both the website and the programme plus a farewell piece for the website. All in all, written around 3,000 words today.

Boys needed their football kit for tomorrow so caught five minutes with them tonight...:D:j

Just chilling now till bedtime at 11pm. Tomorrow is quite busy with two paper rounds and a haircut to fit in between 9am and 3pm.

Managed to get the two paper rounds done this morning AND get down to town to have my haircut (£12.00 + £2 parking), back for lunch by 1pm....:D

Picked boys up, had to give their school £2 for mufti money and bought some football stickers for them (£3.20) and got some petrol (£15.00).

Tomorrow threatens to be a long day. Off to Dorset in the morning to see my oldest two children before going to football in the afternoon and driving home in the evening, getting home about 7pm.

Exhausted after a long day yesterday. Left home at 9.30am and got back at 7.15pm having gone down to see my oldest two children in Dorset. They get on really well with my youngest two and the four of them together doesn't happen as often as it should due to time, distance, work, school and football getting in the way. The boys met their older brother's girlfriend yesterday for the first time as she is normally working and the boys gave her a hug as they left...:D

Went to football yesterday afternoon (0-0 draw) then got back last night. Was quite MSE yesterday as packed a lunch for the kids to eat inbetween times and cooked tea last night. They went to bed at 9.30pm and I followed them up to the snoozy train station half an hour later.

Today's stuff? We are chilling this morning, lunch, then they are playing football this afternoon. Pub quiz tonight as well which will be a freebie as we have the winnings from last week to use up.:T

If Carlsberg did days, they'd be like today was....:D

Started with a chill with the boys this morning, fixed them lunch before going to football. Their team won 4-0 to go fourth in the league (much better than the expected 8/9th position anyway).

Went to the quiz tonight and won it for the second week running. £33 was the prize fund tonight and we still have £5 left over from last week as well....:T .

Tomorrow is going to be another busy one. Morning and evening courier jobs, a paper round, lots of website admin to do plus I have an interview at 2.5pm in town. There's a new social website starting up in Bristol and they're looking for freelance writers to contribute to it. On the face of it, it sounds right up my street, almost too good to be true. I'm going there with two options and the hope I can combine them ( sport and music).

As good as yesterday was, today has been truly poor.

Morning and evening courier jobs went all right but the interview was rubbish. I'm sure I'll get the job but the media accreditation ( the paperwork that allows you to go to sports events, concerts etc) hasn't been applied for which will take months. Until then, you'd have to pay for the events yourself and hope that enough people click on your story for you to get your money back. If I write a 500-word match report on Bristol City, say, I'd have to have the report read by around 1,250 people to get my ticket money back.

Nothing is going to happen for a month now anyway so I won't burn my bridges just yet.

In addition, the boys didn't want to talk tonight which is unusual for them. Their mum said they were tired which may be true, I suppose.

Now the last book of the French club project won't load properly so I'm having a coffee, half a dozen biscuits then going to bed as I can't be arsed with today. Things will be better in the morning.;)

Just about awake this morning after a late night last night. The twins were mascots at the game last night and it rained again like it did last time....:o

Team lost 1-0 but the club did a lovely package for them. They got invited into the dressing room, met all the players, led the team out on to the pitch and had their pictures taken by the club photographer. Last time they did it, they got a signed football so last night the club gave them the "100 Years" history book all signed by the players...:T

Spent £4.05 in Asda last night and that was it!!

Might keep hold of the boys today as it's football training tonight and it hardly seems worth dropping them home for two or three hours. Going to get some breakfast in a moment then a spot of shopping while there.

Took the boys out for a breakfast this morning. Not very MSE of me (and I know I'll regret it next time I'm broke, which might be this weekend) but they were so good last night and I had already promised them I would...:o

That was £8.57 for the three of us plus I spent another £8.51 in Sainsbury's. Cannot wait until I get paid next week so that I can do a big shop, fill the freezer up and get back to last month's well oiled budgeting machine.

Dropped boys home at 11.45pm and picked them up for tea and football training this evening. Now sat mulling over where I start trying to get myself organised for next month.....:o

Tomorrow I really need to get at least two, maybe three paper rounds done as I've been invited to play golf on Friday at 9.00am. A friend of mine has a corporate membership there and he's let us use it so it's a £35 round of golf for nothing....:T

What you might call a day of two halves today.;)

Went out this morning and was delivering papers as the snow came down really hard. Managed to get two rounds done before my poor, wet feet screamed at me to go home and back into the warm. Had lunch then the twins mum offered me a couple of hours with them as she was going shopping and they didn't want to.

Rest of the day spent doing nothing much except write an article and do some research for a couple of others.

Tomorrow is hopefully payday from the football club, shopping (see payday for details) and I've had an invite for a corporate freebie round of golf. Tee off is 9.08am so will need to be up and about early to take advantage.
