Maybe its worth just hanging in there for talktalk after all, though it grates me to do so. Thanks for taking a look for me though

No problem. Bear in mind that you can get 28 pounds Quidco cashback with Plusnet Value at present, and with the lower monthly price that's a first year saving of around 64 pounds. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I will definitely go and have a look before I decide whether just to wait talktalk out or not, cheers

Just in case anyone stumbles across this thread Plusnet rejected my own and another family members cashback request via cashbackings - apprently nothing you can do about it. Have billed me double the amount they should have 2 months in a row. And also decided they were charging me a connection fee of around £20 and could give no explanation why - it also took 3 to 4 weeks to get connected. Also their service is pants with connection constantly cutting out. They used to be the best in the business my mum has used them for years - think they must have been bought out by someone -NOT RECOMMENDED0 -

I recommend O2. Everything arrived really quickly and the connection was closer to the advertised speed than I've experienced with anyone else. Communication was A+, right down to sending me a text message once to apologise for a slow and unreliable connection and let me know they were working on it. Note that the slow and unreliable connection was nothing like as bad as I'd had from my previous provider every night of the week!
I don't work for O2, by the way.0 -
Can you get Virgin Cable ?

Do not use 02 if your exchange is not an 02 LLU enabled one, their standard service has terrible reports.0
