Hi 3tabbycats, I'd go for interesting accompaniments that are easy or can be used as filling snacks on their own... E.g. veggie stuffed parathas or any stuffed flatbread, a flavoured rice with veggies in, or a Mexican spicy tomato rice. You'd find loads of recipes for any of these and more if you search them on google.

    Evening,

Can i have a star please, LR has been decluttered, scrubbed & hoovered, windows washed (in & out) all carp that was lying around has either been binned or collect by one or other of the girls (amazing what a time limit and the threat of it being binned did).

I have also made a start on the kitchen as it will appear on a day I am at work.

On the down side needed to replace a tyre as at some point over the weekend i must have gone over a nail, so that means that the budget is even tighter this month than ever.

Off for a read through the thread, hope all are okay.

  • OOOPS Sorry just seen I've posted twice!

One batch of cakes out, DH trialed one, which meant I had to as well! Yummy, they are for freezing and taking out as and when. The next batch nearly done, I've loaded dw, then will wipe kitchen down and then a HHI or maybe 15mins, getting clothes ready for work and nursery in the morning!

Sad I know but I've really enjoyed my 1st day flying, I don't want to go to work tomorrow! Anyway will pop back and catch up on thread later. xx
  • My shredder packed in too last week, couldn't even shred one piece of paper.

What a rubbish one, Fellows too which are supposed to be ok

Can anyone recommend a good reliable shredder that doesn't pack in after 2 mins and overheat and can manage about 5 sheets at a time and cross cut and cut CC too?

Mine is a Fellows one. It is quite good really it just overheated because I had so much to shred. I filled the basket about 7 or 8 times this afternoon. Can't find the same one I bought but it was about the same spec and price as this one.

Just about to list a few things on ebay now then will be off to bed.

    Night night. x

Congratulations Valli - that must've taken some work! I've got a planning meeting on the only evening I had some me-time planned now! Thursday night was meant to be the local Boots Christmas advantage evening, but now I'm going to miss it or have to go early in the afternoon, rush home and do dinner, eat, and then go! We're looking at our Spring planning for the foundation subjects, but we haven't even worked out this half term's yet! We're doing Space as our topic in the Spring.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
