    Errrr, :rotfl: no thanks!

I'm hunting for the xmas cards, being very MS I know I bought some in the sales, and I've put them away safe, only trouble is I cannot remember where, I've look in the wardrobes, chest of drawers, with the decorations, with the xmas paper, not found them yet. I also know they are not anywhere pigpen's lists take us on a regular basis.

I have a feeling they might be in my office, so I'll look tomorrow when I go there...

    Chicken is cooking.

Bookcases - mine are in the LR and our bedroom - the kids have their own, but DS1's is bursting at the seems already, and it's not small. A good friend had lots of bookcases dotted along her upstairs landing, which was rather long and had lots of nooks and crannys to fill. Do you have a cupboard under your stairs?
I have two large floor to ceiling bookcases (one in the sitting room, one in the study), I also have a small bookcase in the sitting room, a couple of shelves & part of the window sill in the kitchen, a wall of bookshelves in the downstairs loo, and some books on the shelves in the study where I keep files... My landing is miniscule, and under the stairs has a wine rack and a chest of drawers with bags/scarves/hats & gym kit in it - and the dining table leaves behind it - this is where I used to have the other bookcase, but I needed the extra storage, and it looks much nicer! I don't really want books in the bedroom as I try to keep as little as possible in there, so I really need to look hard at the landing & spare room to see if I can find some small shelves to put in one or the other.

The things that don't fit into the filing system - is it because of their size/shape, or do they just not fit the categories? You could get a nice box. I've got one for leaflets about places to go.
They currently include... magazine clippings of things that I want to get round to ordering for the house (stair runners, stair rope, frosting film for windows), the catalogues I might want to order from, post-it notes, calculator, sticky labels, lymgym, micropore, spare overdoor hook... actually, going through this most of them can be put somewhere sensible :o Thanks :T

I know what you mean about work related things, but I find that as soon as I have taken something to work, I need it at home. Maybe give it another week or so until you can be sure what you need and where?

Not sure any of this helps, but I had a bit of time while eating lunch...
Thanks, that's great... I'll take things in to work as I know I need them, and if I find that I then need them at home I'll bring them back.

Desk is now half clear, so I need to focus on dealing with the odds & ends once and for all.

    Back again later... :D
