Last week I went to see 'Blood Brother's', not from choice, had £70 of theatre vouchers and at the TKTS office that was what was available then & there.
I was pleasantly surprised!
It's all about personal choice, but it got me thinking about having a thread telling each other what we thought of a show AND if we thought it was good value for money (or not).
Last night I went to see a local production at the 'Theatre Royal' Stratford E15, called ' The Great Extension'.
It wasn't great, bit dated but topical I guess.
Years ago they put on great shows, two come to mind as outstanding 'Steaming' and 'On your way Riley'.
Just Googled them 1981 and 1982............OMG!!!!
I saw (embarrassed to admit :embarasse ), 'The Rat Pack' 9 times last time around and have booked to see it, this time round, next Thursday.
Hated 'Phantom of the Opera', my dil favorite of all time
So................What is your 'must see', 'don't see', favorite, best value, recommended show/s?
Have you been surprised/dissapointed by a show you've looked forward to?

Hi
Recently saw 'Grease' in the West End and it was fab! I loved it(Little sad i know) Also, part of the seating was closed so we got upgraded to better & more expensive seats, for free, which was a nice treat
I'd go and see 'Chicago' as i've seen the film (amazing) and heard that its brill in the West End, and most certainly a must see!
My partner has said to me on several occasions that 'Blood Brothers' is great! And as you've clarified that; i might have to book some tickets now
One last thing, me and my partner have got tickets from 'the little hut stalls' around London before. They do last minute deals there. But, i do know that they can be just as expensive sometimes.

I recently saw Grease & thriller for my birthday.. both fantastics..I paid about £28 for each ticket.0

I loved CATS and saw it 4 times, I agree my kids would have loved it. Please bring it back!
Chicago, Billy Elliot and The Producers were all excellent.
The 39 Steps I went to when I couldn't get tickets for anything else was good.
Fame - I was disappointed as I wanted more of the original music from the film. Hate to admit it but I saw the original stage show with cast from the film/show in the 80's which was fab.
Chess was great again in the 80's I think.
Plan to go to London next year hopefully to take kids to see Lion King.0 -
Off to see 'Calender Girls' next week on a £12.25 tkt from Lastminute.com.
I enjoyed the film so hope this is as good.
Anyone seen it already?

reduced shakespeare company- all the main scenes in 2hrs, plus one in reverse- just beware if sitting the in front row, you may get wet!
blues brothers is always good fun, if its the real (authorised) tribute show..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Legally Blonde was fantastic - we're going back next month to see it again!!!!!!!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Both were brilliant.
The set and scenery for Wicked was amasing, i thoroughly enjoyed it and reccomend it.
Stomp, well unusual but a thoroughly good watch and often funny at times.0 -
